- E-hailing service Bolt finds itself in hot water again following an incident where one of its drivers allegedly stabbed two female passengers. One of the victims sustained injuries requiring stitches on her lower back. The incident has raised concerns about passenger safety.

What he did is wrong… and those girls were wrong too by choosing cash payments instead of card when they don’t have cash. They request the driver to go to ATMs and don’t wanna pay extra the inconvenience they’ve caused. At first, the driver was reasonable enough to involve the police… but as always, SAPS were not helpful and he got angry

Violence is never the answer. While it's frustrating for drivers to deal with situations where they feel taken advantage of, there are better ways to handle it. Reporting the incident and canceling the ride if necessary are the best options. Although it’s difficult in the spur of the moment to think clearly and make rational decisions. One of the girls could’ve lost her life over petrol and the inconvenience of R150 which would be so unnecessary and bad.

One thing we always see on social media is that female passengers Bolt without having the fare to pay for the service. They expect free rides from people who are at work. But of course, they will never give the nation the driver's side of the story.

The driver shared his side of the story and they hurt themselves because they removed the door rubber seals when they started to get off the car to try and beat them up.

I have been traveling with BOLT since its inception as TAXIFY. All the drivers have good manners, responsible and reliable. I always carry cash to pay my drivers.

Im not shocked that this happened with bolt. I left my phone in a bolt car and when i tried to call it back and he switched it off. Mind due, the driver was not that far. When i called bolt they said they cant do anything and I should go the police station. Till this day I didn't get my phone. All i can say is never bolt. Uber is better but bolt directly protects their thuggery drivers

2. why take you to police station if he wanted to stab you
3. Trip is 90 for 6 of you and you created lot of work for him to drive extra kilos then you want to cut R50 for not taking you to your destination, instead of saying sorry then at least pay him 200 once because you requested without cash or card then expect him to pass by Garage for you...
