I am Zimbabwean and I appreciate her concerns. We are just victims of systems which are beyond our control. Zimbabwe channels out Drs every year but most end up in South Africa or other countries. Our own children who qualify as doctors do not work in Zimbabwe after using resources in the country to qualify as doctors. We apologise for the inconveniences caused. I am a legal immigrant and was also involved in an accident while at work. I was given first class treatment which l m very grateful for. The situation in Zimbabwe will come to an end as nothing lasts forever but our neighbourly situation lasts forever. I wish this post would be available when it happens because I know it will. Situations will turn around and we have an obligation to assist South Africa in whatever need. It’s stressful yes but a sick person ending up at your doorstep, means they know they will get assistance and that speaks volumes about your kind hearted nature. It will be unfair for us to castigate her for saying what she said as pressure of work comes with a lot of stress yet when she checks progress it appears on zero. The two governments have an obligation to discuss this.

Not only that, as a Doctor she should know that it is not the right thing to talk to a patient in that manner while the people around were laughing.
