You mention from time to time that you get some of your classic pieces from thrift stores. Would you consider doing a video or videos giving tips on thrifting? I shop the sales but don't thrift and would be interested in any tips you could offer to us in terms of where and/or when to go and what to look for.
I would love a thrifting video too. How about you take us thrifting with you Audrey?

@@kimberlyberlin4999Why are you addressing the OP as Audrey? Audrey might not even see replies to comments.
Same!
I’m 76 but really love your poise and charm . Not many women your age are as charming as you are .
If you wear ballet flats, make sure you get an insole that has arch support and don’t wear them as your main shoes. And don’t wear flip flops or flat sandals. Tips from my podiatrist. Your feet will thank you when you don’t need surgery due to poor footwear.
Arch support is so important. Especially as we get older.
Right on! I have become more mindful about buying shoes-I am done with ballet flats and heels without arch support. Boy do I regret that one grossly overhyped ballet flat brand (actually at least two) with no arch support. Fortunately, I sold them on Poshmark when I decided my ballet flats needed a new home.
Now that I am in my mid 40s, I don’t want consequences of wearing shoes without arch support or cheap shoes sneak up on me years from now,
I have followed your channel for close to 5 years now. I still get excited when I'm notified of a new video. You NEVER disappoint, Audrey ❤
I have all my shoes in your suggested classic shoe styles custom-made, except tall boots because I don't need them living in a hot and humid climate . Having classic shoe styles' shoes custom made is so much more worth it than buying ready made ones because they fit you better (more comfy for pumps) and they also last. Not to mention you have all the options on the leather to be used and the colour.
Interesting. Where do you have your shoes made?
Lovely thought! Any recommendations for makers?
@@mckristiemannan5635 Research and find a local shoemaker. You will need to have your feet measured and your walking posture analysed.
I love that you focused on the elements and details of style, color and material instead of brand. Great video. ❤
Enjoying the quiet luxury series. Looking forward to more content like this.
I enjoy the quiet luxury series very much and appreciate your sharing shoe brands I've never heard of. These lines are gorgeous!
I recently bought a nice almond toe Mary Jane pump that I'm finding so versatile. Loving this series.
Would love to know which brand. I love Mary Jane’s but haven’t loved the ones I’ve tried recently.
Can I say that your voice is so calming to listen to!
I agree - Audrey's voice is part of the charm of her content - and her backdrop too. her clothing advice is of course excellent.
Same here! I also love her accent, it's so good to listen to. I don't know which part of the US she is from, do y'all have a guess?
Thank you!! Was just sorting through my shoes today and mapping out what I need. Perfect timing!
I think your shoe videos might just be my favorite videos. I am going to update my list from an old video of yours I watched on boots. I found a perfect pair of Thursday boots from your brand recommendation and I LOVE THEM. I have a pair of loafers on my FALL/WINTER list for this year and I am going to research these brands in this video and see what I come up with for this year. Thank you for posting this now since I know it will help me in my search. THANK YOU AUDREY ‼️ You’re such a great help to me. ❤😊👢🥿👟
Your presentation is so elegant.
Amazing video Audrey! So helpful 👏
I have been binging all your videos today. Thank you fir the work you put in this and all the links. It feels so sincere and i am thankful for it. I feel like i am getting all i need to change my style and i can see how much work and dedication has gone into all your videos.
Thank you!! I feel you are re affirming my style and I love the elegance. You are very luxurious
Love these tips…very thoughtful.
Thank you so much for all the links! Its so helpful❤
Great information - thank you for linking sources in different price points. I learn a lot from your videos - thank you!
What a treasure trove of information! I love looking through all your amazing shoe links. The swatches really help! Thank you, Audrey.
Just discovered your channel-love your content, and your voice is so soft and calm! Great presentation ❤
Great content Audrey. Love it!
I agree with all of this. Love an almond toe shoe!
Hi Audrey, my best classic shoes and sandals are those that are all leather. They are timeless and can be re-soled and are breathable and comfortable. 👠❤️🇨🇦
Thank you so much for this!! I’ve decided I really want to invest in some beautiful shoes and this is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you! ♥️
Thank you for these tips.
This was very helpful, summer is my favorite season but not my favorite season for clothes. I love structure. Thank you.
Another great video. Thank you!
I am sure this took research and production and we appreciate it Audrey. I am familiar with some of these brands through mom, but others are new discovery for me.
I really appreciate the effort that you list all the shoes price and brands which phenomenal
THANK YOU... you parted with some valuable advices.
I too would love to see a video regarding buying pre loved items.
Love quiet luxury, thank you for sharing😊 please can you do more quiet luxury videos ?
I built a classic wardrobe slowly pver a decade after I became a university administrator after being faculty. The clothing lile blazer sand coats I bought even shoes lasted my entire career.... 20 years. It served me well...I donated it all when I went cruising in the Caribbean for a decade.

My work wardrobe was 3 pairs of suede pumps, gray, navy and burgundy. They worked with everything. Notice, no brown or black.
Great advice, thank you. I only wish you listed even lower prices, to appeal to all. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Love everything you mentioned, on top of that. Love your greyish belt. If you dont mind, where did you get that?
Great tips, thank you.
Love almond toe!
Very interesting and informative, thank you
I love your belt that you are wearing with these white pants. Can you share a link of where you purchased it? Thank you!
Hi Audrey! I love your vids! Can you pleaaase make a video on outfit suggestions for performers/ what to wear on stage? Thanks so much!
Great video, very informative. Shoes are difficult for me because I need a wide shoe with great arch support. Many people suggest to just “go up a half size.” But unfortunately for me that just doesn’t solve the issue. Also, many shoes do not have removable insoles to allow for a more supportive one 🙁.
Look at Calla shoes- they’re the best quality, most supportive/comfortable, and most stylish mid price shoes that are made for wide feet that I’ve found.
Thank you so much
I'm 5 ft and it's so hard to find boots with the appropriate shaft length as they are usually too tall.
I really like the bag that you're using in the beginning of the video! Do you mind telling me where did you get it? 🙏 thank you!
Audrey how do you feel about gold sandals?
I love ankle boots and wear them even in the summer since COVID began. I don't like to be out and about with exposed feet. I leave my shoes at the door when I get home. I've had terrible luck with faux leather shoes and bags. They rip, peel, and disintegrate within days to months. It is money wasted. I won't buy a bag unless the description says it's 100% leather because they are allowed to describe a bag as "leather" when a good portion of it is faux. Faux leather straps break down within months while the rest of the bag looks new. I've had to throw bags out because of this deception and am done with the faux. I also found that faux leather doesn't stretch to contour to your foot and therefore is much less comfortable to wear.
All so true.
Between ballet flats and loafers which would you suggest
If only I could find shoe that fit....I uave a AA heel width amd B front I used to he able to wear slinback and adj7st the buckle in back but buckle adjustments seem to.uave disappeared! In boots and sports shoes I can wear socks with thicker heels but not in other shoes...so.frustrating. Those stickon back.of heel pads dont work they come.
lose almost immediately. Anyone else have this problem? How do you solve it?
Love the advice and plan to follow much of it. But, the prices are much more than I can spend. I would appreciate including similar items at lower price points.
what is the black shoe with the cut up on the right with your video still?
Madam would love to know about the work handbag collection❤😊
thank you
Vivobarefoot has ballet flats, I have these as alternate to my gobi boots.
What do you wear for socks with Chelsea boots? I struggle with socks slipping down and bunching.
I struggle with this too! I've had the best luck thus far wearing socks slightly shorter than a crew length and a bit heavier than a typical dress sock.
PS still have yet to find the ideal!
@dillemma9 I find when I wear taller socks it will just keep bunching in the shoe bed area, but sometimes I need that for warmth. I have one pair of athletic socks that have the rubber grips on them that tend to stay in place, but I need a little more sometimes when it's cold.
I love the Costco merino wool trail socks under my Chelsea boots. Don’t slide around at all!
Thank you for this video. I am in the market for a pair of classic black loafers, especially high-quality ones with arch support-I donated my old ones, as they were too masculine for me. I am wondering what you think of Gucci loafers.
Also, as for sandals, I also suggest the Margaux City Sandal and Sarah Flint Perfect Sandal (30 and 60) to consider. I have my eyes on the latter, especially the pair in Sand Nappa, but the price-yikes, but I am sure they are worth it, as I have been disappointed with cheaper shoes (especially heels). Unfortunately, it is rare to see shoes over $150 in my town, so either I have to drive at least two hours or order online for higher-quality shoes.
Same. If I want higher quality, I must plan to drive 2+ hours. Even then, I am limited to a small Nordstrom and Saks. Unless I shop while traveling and have items shipped home, most of my purchases are made online. I am also curious about Gucci loafers. I remember one of Audrey's former links sent me to Carmina, which I thought was best for narrow feet. I have a narrow heel, but not a narrow foot.
@@melishamcalister1570 same here-narrow heel, not-so-narrow forefoot. I have high arches though, so I have a hard time finding comfortable shoes that fit my style. I always prefer feminine clothes-with a petite hourglass figure, masculine-looking clothes make me look like a funhouse mirror reflection. Yes, one disadvantage of living in a not-so-fashionable (besides the affluent part of town where Louis Vuitton-toting ladies live) medium-sized city is the choice of clothes available-doesn’t even have a Nordstrom (come on!), so Macy’s and Von Maur are the “best” department stores; the latter is somewhat better but has a small selection. Even when free shipping and returns are offered, it feels like I am taking chances when I order shoes online-it feels like I have no other choice if I really do not want lower-quality shoes made in China or Vietnam unless I drive a few hours to a bigger city.
@@alexandraeverafter1015 You’re writing my story. 😊 I am 5’4 with an hourglass shape, teetering towards pear if I don’t stop indulging! 😅 One of the reasons I haven’t pulled the trigger on Gucci is because I prefer body skimming clothes. Most oversized clothes make me look short and wider. I am just learning about masculine/Damon one dressing. I think I can pull off the Gucci by wearing a couple feminine pieces. But if there’s a similar quality option for less, I’d def finitely consider that!
@@melishamcalister1570 thanks for sharing! Hope you will eventually get your Gucci loafers and pair them with lovely feminine pieces 💕
As much as I love quiet luxury as a trend, I just know that certain parts of it won't translate well with my style, which is mostly casual. I will agree however that certain types of leather can either make an outfit feel more put together or more laid back. I guess for me personally, I find it easier to stick to my ankle boots, handbags with minimal fuss in hardware and sandals. Also, even though I prefer to wear sneakers for my job, I can't say that they're a go-to for me like other girls who will shamelessly wear them with everything. Not sure why so many people rave about this, but it's whatever 🤷♀
My feet are very good I choose shoes which do not potentially cause bunions. I have excellent arches and walk barefoot and want to feel the terrain and have foot flexibility, an alive foot. I love excellent loafers. Jcrew had biella loafers which were superb.
Audrey is a very wonderful woman ❤
I prefer wearing the pointed toe shoes
I had a so many beautiful shoes, Italian loafers in various leathers, colours and hair and others, vivobarefoot barefoot, I had bought these for the next 20 years but when I moved home the box was stolen.
Why can't I save some of your videos to my CZcams library? Love them all, but some I want to watch time and time again but can't save them.
I have the same problem but I’ve been adding to a playlist to have them all ready. Hope it helps
Where are you Audrey ? You have been missed ❤
I've followed you for years now, but I was a little disappointed to see you stress that these shoes are at "EVERY PRICE" (capitalized), but the least expensive shoe linked was $100. Your general advice was still very insightful and helpful. I agree that shoes should be high-quality investment pieces. However, it would make your videos more accessible for a broader audience if you include a broader range of prices for videos that promise that. Thank you for all the work and research you put into your videos!
Lord. Who are the folks with all this cash?
Espadrilles ....
GH bass loafers hurt your feet; I wouldn’t buy
Any recommendations for vegan/cruelty free shoes? Why harm other beings in the name of style and fashion !
