This video reminds me of when I used to work in a bookstore and every other day, a little old man used to come into the store and sit and read the books, get comfy in a chair and he’s eventually fall asleep. He was a sweet soul. He never bought anything and he was no bother, he just seemed lonely and comforted by the environment ❤️ we used to leave him be and let him do his thing

I first discovered my proclivity for tingles at a school library in 2nd grade.. whenever a teacher helped another student read or check out a book I would overhear the quiet conversation and supportive affirmation and help and instantly be soothed and tingle to the point that I'd nearly fall asleep on the spot. Wonderful memories. My most prominent trigger is hearing quiet conversation of someone getting help from an older expert. I know it's quite specific, but I've never had it matched. A school library is where I first had tingles. I was about 14 and could never understand why I'd want to fall asleep at the sound of my class turning pages and I'd get so mad when they stopped.

I knooow ! I worked in a cultural center with a gallery on the first floor and a library on the 2nd and when work was a bit too stressful or overwhelming, going up to the 2nd floor to say hi to my collegues of the library was my favourite thing. The smooth sounds, people talking in a very soft way, the books smell, the atmosphere, I loved everything about it, it was so soothing (and the librarians were the sweetest) ♡

Involuntary ASMR short story: I was sitting in front of my boss today, in silence, waiting to show him some paperwork. He was checking his monitor, whispering numbers and data to himself, I was waiting, pressing and smoothing my paperwork, held together by paper clips which made it crackle slightly . The wind out of the window was blending all of these soft sounds. Couldn't help thinking about Maria and all of her beautiful videos ❤️😊 Thank you for the relaxation you give to us❤️

Oh definitely. One of my friends is a librarian at a well-known university and he said it's a lot more difficult than you'd think, you have to almost be a walking catalogue of what's kept where and on what shelf. Dude looks like he works harder than I do and I work in heavy transport.

I spent a lot of this in a library with my mum when I was a kid. Pretty sure I drooled the whole time with the tinglyness of it all. If there was a queue to get our books stamped, all the better as I could just listen to the relaxing whispering, page turning and gentle stamping sounds 😍😪
Me too, they would always rub the book on that metal thing and open the crinkly bind to scan it. It was lovely.

Wow! I thought I was the only person on earth who got tingles by the sounds in the library. The rustling of newspapers was always my favorite. Also, growing up Catholic, the sounds of old folks whispering Aves while their rosary beads clicked against backs of the pews.
