Same for me! My grandpa did people's taxes. 😊 Sometimes I'd get to go to his office and he had an old typewriter he'd let me type on.

My mum was an accountant for decades and she often brought her work home. This was Eastern Europe in the 90s, so our one bedroom doubled as her office most of the time. As a kid I used to watch her sort through files and receipts almost every night before I fell asleep. This might just be the most soothing video of yours I’ve watched

Accountant here too and I’m always fascinated by these details. Everything has been computer based since I moved into this field (most of my adult life, actually) and I love hearing about the papers, writing etc. that I missed out on.

If I were ever allowed to make a request it would be for Maria to read random pages from a dictionary. With the way she makes the tingles I think it would be amazing.
Gibi asmr has done something similar, it's called reading your fortune with the dictionary (or close to that title) it doesn't quite have Maria's finesse for me but it's still calming :)

Videos like these really help me get through lonely nights in my apartment. I lost my mum 2 years ago and my girlfriend lives 11,000km away. Thank you for bringing my mind peace Maria.

Something I have found very strange about ASMR videos is that they actually help me wake up. Being able to put one on, and go into a very deep state of relaxation, but not quite sleep, for about 15 minutes will suddenly give me this bizarre surge of energy once I snap out of it.
I tend to randomly feel a certain kind of anxiety that "itches" to be calmed by ASMR, especially Maria's older videos.
I hardly ever put it on to help go to sleep.
@@lemontreat I get that too, usually I go back to Maria's older Origami videos. Especially the one where she has all the materials in the folders.
I wonder what that's called.... I had the same experience doing accupuncture which is a very similar experience to ASMR in a lot of ways
I’m glad someone else feels this way…I’ve found that the videos help me focus when my mind is all over the place.
The snapping out of it…happens to me too if I listen in the middle of the day!
This reminds me of going to library as a kid. So relaxing and quiet with all the crisp sounds

She has done some. They are great. One is "Adventures of Alice in Wonderland" from 7 years ago.
She has one where she lays you to bed and reads you a Christmas story from I think 7 or 8 years ago.
Another one is the Baby's toys one, she shows some children's books as well

Ooooof, if I weren’t ASMR immune for years, I just KNOW that would have been sooo tinglyyy ♡ I still get a calm, warmth, sleepy, and fuzzy headedness. Tingles are extremely rare, and only on my right side anymore.
(No, nothing helps it.)
But boy, it’s as if I can ALMOST FEEL IT in this one!! So good

Are you using it too much? Sometimes you gotta quit ASMR for a while. I think even Maria had a video talking about it.
It is better when you don't go looking for it. Videos like this are okay but no where near as good as unplanned, unintentional, asmr in the real world...
It's crazy how this genuinely helps. Whether it's to help you get to sleep, for the tingles or for anxiety relief.
I've always had trouble sleeping and with anxiety but if I wasn't aware of ASMR and someone suggested it I would probably just dismiss it. But I can watch one of your videos and after 4/5 minutes I can feel my eyes getting heavy. Its hypnotic. Its only Maria that has this effect on me also. I've watched many other asmr channels and they just don't have what you have, so thank you : )

The other day I read u decided which day was gonna be the international ASMR day, thank u for starting this chanel and spreading ASMR and this marvellous idea around the world. okay so ive taken a few months to stop watching asmr and resetting my tingle immunity, and the moment the video started i was getting delightful tingles in my scalp. marias videos never disappoint and, in my humble onion, surpass the majority of asmr videos on youtube. keep it up, and take breaks when you need them! you work so hard for us, so play hard too!

Hi Maria, the tingles from paper sounds and writing are always a favorite. Whispering, paper sounds, typing, and writing are all the things that first triggered the tingle effect (or ASMR) for me. With the intent to fall back asleep for two hours before work, I landed on this video and 🤔 thought 💭...now is the perfect time of year for a new bookkeeping/tax preparation video... 😉
