Mae'r gan yma'n olrhain hanes y tan cafodd ei gynnau ym Mhenyberth, ym Mhenllŷn. Yn 1935, penderfynodd llywodraeth Lloegr sefydlu ysgol fomio ym Mhenyberth. Y cynllun oedd i'r fyddin gael lle i ymarfer lladd. Penyberth oedd un o ardaloedd mwyaf Cymreig Cymru. Mi fyddai cynlluniau llywodraeth Lleogr yn newid hynny. Ar Fedi'r 7fed yn 1936, gweithredodd Lewis Valentine, Saunders Lewis a D.J.Williams trwy losgi'r ysgol fomio, a rhoi terfyn ar gynlluniau'r llywodraeth. Cafodd y tri dedfryd o 9 mis o garchar.
This song tells the story of the fire that was lit in Penyberth, in Penllŷn. In 1935, the English government decided to establish a bombing school in Penyberth. The plan was to practise killing. Penyberth was one of the most Welsh places in Wales. The English government's plans would change this. On the 7th of September 1936 Lewis Valentine, Saunders Lewis and D.J.Williams set fire to the bombing school, and put an end to the government's plans. The three served nine months in prison.
