First of all .. thaaaaanks for your effort and the great explaining ❤️❤️
But I have a question ... I know it should be either frozen or coming right out of the fridge .. But will American buttercream be good to go with all of this flipping and turning method .. especially the last flip where I've got to use my hands .. or will it be damaged ???
good job

Can wait to try this! What cake scraper do you use? I’ve been looking for a longer one with a rolled handle
Hi Sue! I bought mine from a shop in Malaysia while I was overseas, but you can find very similar ones on Amazon! Just type in steel cakes scraper and heaps should pop up :)
Nice 🌷🌷🌷
Hey sister. I wanted to thank you. I tried your edible glitter powder recipe and it worked. But for me the mixture took almost 2 days to completely dry. Thanks again. ❤️
Hi Ezza! So glad to hear the edible glitter worked for you :D and ahh yes it can take longer in certain climates! One time it took me 3 days for it to completely dry!!
@@CakesbyMK yes, I know, cuz the temperature is different in every country. ❤️
❤
I recently tried this cake with other method which was kind a messy and tricky....now I feel guilty if I had tried top forward cake after u upload this cake tutorial...😑😑....Any ways one more time gonna try this cake using this cake method. Thank u mam....You explained really well😍😘😘😘😘😘😘......lots n lots of love and blessings😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💗💗💗
Hi Thanisha :) Ohh yes that can be frustrating!! I am glad to hear that you found my instructions clear and helpful and all the best with your next attempt, I'm sure you'll do awesome! :D Much love 💗
@@CakesbyMK thank u for replying mam....love u😘😘😘❤❤
@@CakesbyMK I can't wait to try this method.
Hi MK, thanku for tutorial. I hope we can use American buttercream as well.
You sure can! :)
Now I need to make a cake❤
Hallo MK, New sub here. I watched some of your videos and it's really nice because you explain it in details it helps a lot especially for me because I am also baking cakes and designing it. Keep in touch. 💖
Hi there! I am so glad to hear you're enjoying the videos :D it's always lovely meeting other cake decorators on here! Wishing you every success :)
@@CakesbyMK Thank you MK. Keep on posting and I'll follow. 💖
I MK why do you put simple syrup on your cake and do you do that on all cakes I haven’t seen it as I’ve been just following you for the red velvet recipe. I just subscribed by the way beautiful presentations just wondering about the simple syrup?
Great job 👏 I love all your works dear🥰 can u give me a good buttercream recipe please 😊
Thank you so much! :D And I have a link to the Swiss meringue buttercream I used in this video in the description box if you wanted to give that a go - it's one of my fav recipes! :)
@@CakesbyMK thank you somuch dear😍
MashaAllah MK!! Another awesome video and cake! 😍
I hope you had a lovely Eid-ul-Adha! 💙
Thank you so much Rumana! Hope you had a lovely Eid too, Eid Mubarak! :)
Mk is it a safe to make a red velvet cake like this with cream cheese only in the middle layer and Swiss meringue for the crumb and base coat.
Beautiful cake👌
Can we make this with whipping cream?
Thank you! You can do it with whipping cream but you would need to use a different method as whipped cream will not set firmly in the fridge :)
What size cake pan did you use? Beautiful cake! Thanks!
Hi there! Thank you so much! I used an 8 inch cake pan :)
Can we make this cake with whipped cream or ganache? Will cake fall apart?
What is the buttercream you used for this frosting?
can cake layers with fruit filling be used with these types of cakes?
Wow lovely can you tell me where you purchase those artificial flowers please?
Hi there! :) I purchase the flowers from a store here in Auckland (New Zealand) called Look Sharp. They're great quality and cheap. If you live outside of NZ then I'm not quite sure where else you may be able to find them sorry!
Hi, I have actually used American buttercream and the scraped the edges after putting in the fridge for 20 minutes. If u leave it in the fridge about an hour, the ABC becomes wayyy too hard to scrape.
Ohhh good to know! Yeah I think with the American buttercream you can't leave it in the fridge as long as an SMBC if you're going to scrape it again :)
Will this technique work for whipping cream????
Iced it and put it in the fridge and put it outside again so it doesn't melt?
Hie just a question will whipped cream cakes will be fine for this cake trend?
Hiya! Unfortunately you wont be able to use whipped cream with the method shown in this video, but if you cut out the shape of the cake first and then just ice it with whipped cream then it should be okay :)
Hola, que diámetro tiene el cake? Y que ancho. Gracias.
will it work on a red velvet cake please using cream cheese frosting?
Hi there! Yes it should do as long as the cream cheese frosting isn't too soft :)
Hi just wondering. What do you do with the cut off piece?
Good question! You can use them for cake pops or even just eat like that :D
Im just wondering if this is safe for transport?
Can we use whipping cream for this cake?
Hi Esha! You may be able to as long as the whipping cream isn't too soft. If it doesn't set firmly then the baking paper method I used in this video may not work. Instead you would just want to ice the cake as normal, let it firm up in the fridge, then cut a portion of it off, flip it over then ice the exposed side of the cake while it is already in the upright position. Hope that made sense! :)
What buttercream recipe do u use for such finishing cake?
Hi there! I used a Swiss meringue buttercream :) you can find the recipe on my channel!
Hello! What is the size of the acrylic rounds you have? And where did you get it? I would like to get a couple. Awesome video btw, Thank you!
Hi there! The one I used for this video is an 8inch acrylic disk, and I bought them from a shop here in New Zealand. I can't remember the exact website but here is a link to a similar one :) www.cakestuff.co.nz/store/decorating-tools-aids/acrylic-work-boards
Can you please give us a tutorial for how much buttercream is needed for completely covering a layer cake??? Every time I decorate a cake it's a huge hassle for me. That's why please please please help me regarding that.
Hi there! Ahh yes this can be a bit of a tricky one, especially when different icing recipes use different quantities of ingredients. I don't have a straight answer atm apart from looking at the yield amount which should be stated in the recipe. But will have a think and keep this in mind for future videos :)
@@CakesbyMK aww thanks a lot sister. It's okay. I know it's kinda a tough thing to do. But if you can just mention once in your video that how much buttercream frosting you're taking for example the double or triple of your given recipes then it would have been a great help. Actually for some amateur baker it will be a huge life saving help. Please please please help us sister.
@@teddybear3590 ahh yes okay I get you! Will keep this in mind for future videos :) thanks for the suggestion!
Are these 6 inch cake layers?
Great job! What's the diameter of the cake?
Thanks so much! This is an 8inch cake :)
Its butter cream frosting method.
What is the method of whipping cream?
Hi Naz! For whipping cream you would simply frost the cake as normal, then cut the bottom off, flip the cake over and then ice the exposed side :) also remember to refrigerate in between steps if the cream is becoming too soft :)
@@CakesbyMK thnks sis Allah bless u
it was really helpful but the ackground, afron and cake are all white its a difficult and clumsy :(
Is this what kind of butter cream?
Hi there! This is a Swiss meringue buttercream :) the recipe is linked in the description box if you wanted to try it out!
@@CakesbyMK thank you so much for your quick reply . I like your channel. Post more videos. I’m waiting. Keep it up. Again thank you so much 😊
@@finelook5688 thank you so much! So glad to hear you're enjoying the content 😃 appreciate the support 😃
@@CakesbyMK I have more doubts, I ll ask one by one 😊🥰.
What buttercream you use for your cakes? /What is your favourite buttercream?
Hi there! I mostly use Swiss meringue buttercream :)
@@CakesbyMK how do you do this buttercream?
here in Brazil i tried all, but i can't make the buttercream like that.
If you help me i would appreciate 🥰
How long could a cake like this be left out at room temperature?
Hi there! It could be left out for quite a while, at least a few hours. However if the weather is really humid then it might be best to place it in the fridge and pull it our right before your event :)
What your buttercream recipe
Hi there! It's linked in the description box :)
Cómo verlo en españoll por favor , me parece muy interesante, ayudaaaa
Hi there! I have subtitles on the video so you may be able to turn on Spanish subtitles :)
How do you cut it
Great question! I'll be posting a CZcams Short tomorrow on how to cut this cake so keep an eye out for that! :)
How many inches is the cake please?
Hi there! This is an 8 inch cake :)
How do we transport with this cake for an hour? :(
You'll have to keep the A/C on in your car and make sure the cake is covered and not exposed to direct sunlight :)
@@CakesbyMK Thank youu. I'm actually worried about the cake falling on its side 😓
Pls fwd me recipe of butter cream
Hi there! A link to the recipe can be found in the description box :)
