"The aircrew checks the fuel level of the aircraft." . . . . really? Wow. . . . that's fascinating.
Briefly stated, the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect is as follows. You open the newspaper to an article on some subject you know well. In Murray's case, physics. In mine, show business. You read the article and see the journalist has absolutely no understanding of either the facts or the issues. Often, the article is so wrong it actually presents the story backward-reversing cause and effect. I call these the "wet streets cause rain" stories. Paper's full of them.
In any case, you read with exasperation or amusement the multiple errors in a story, and then turn the page to national or international affairs, and read as if the rest of the newspaper was somehow more accurate about Palestine than the baloney you just read. You turn the page, and forget what you know.

@@joannewalter4956 I’m retired C-5 crew chief/C-130 & AWACs flight engineer….get a laugh at these “documentaries” over dramatize mundane details like comparing fuel gages with fuel plan.

You really do not appreciate the size of this aircraft until you work on it. I was in Aircraft Fuel Systems Repair and the first time I crawled inside the inboard tanks I was astonished. Even the integral one and four tanks are roomy compared to other aircraft...C-141 and C-130's. Will not say when I worked on them, y'all would call me elderly...😂😂😂

Many people just don't realize how heavy a C5 is when it's fully loaded, it's simply amazing we can get that much weight up in the air.

the C5's landing gear supports extreme loads, especially during takeoff and landing. Oh really? because during the flight it is just hanging inside the plane right? In any case, this is all a scam because Konfusius says: "anything heavier than air can not fly"

Landing geaR, not gears. Gears would be a collection of individual gears. In this case, gear is pleural.
