- Here is my guide to Super Break and Break Teams in Honkai: Star Rail.
Harmony MC and Super Break really changes how we build teams from now on, as we can always go for normal CRIT, or have a little fun with the new Super Break mechanic. I really think Harmony MC breaks the game in this regard, and so today I set out to see every DPS and how they can synergize with the hyper break team, what criteria they meet / fail in, just to see how universal this mechanic is. I'm not saying for you to drop everything and run full break, but maybe it'll end up nicely for some of you! Units like Himeko, Sushang, Xueyi get an extra boost and future units like Boothill can soar to crazy heights! I hope it helps, have a guoba day!

- Understandbly my Luka section was a bit confusing. I think he’s great for the low enemy count Physical niche just like Sushang, I was evaluating everyone’s super break compatability however. On super break he’s a bit weaker, but when considering the initial break burst (amp+ detonate) where he’s stronger, he can definitely be just as good in Sushangs spot if not stronger depending on enemy HP. Cause if the enemy is dead, super breaks won’t really matter ^^
Definitely sushang and seele, slayblazer and ruan mei really is THE break core

I keep hearing that firefly is another awesome break DPS like Boothill. If true I plan on building a team of Hatblazer, Firefly, Fu Xian (I haven’t built Gallagher yet and I don’t like using multiple units of the same element unless I’m going mono) and (Call me insane) Robin to buff Firefly’s regular damage. Plus, I love our two new best girls to death, and I’m desperate to pair them both with one of the available Trailblazers. Meta be damned. Though I am willing to try other team comps. I’ll experiment a bit when I have them all built.
Can’t do anything now as my Hatblazer needs relics and traces, and I have a bit of building backlog I’m trying to get through. Currently finishing off my Fu Xian before moving on to Aventurine.

The fact that broken enemies only gave a slight pause to combat and not any extra dmg vs unguarded mob... made little sense

Super Break Welt with no sustain is insanely fun. Break the enemy once and you send their AV to the shadow realm.

For real, I was already building Welt Sustain with Eagle of Twilight and now the enemies never get to move 😭 I want to pull silver wolf so I can try to implant imaginary weakness with a Welt/MC/SW/Acheron team. Could go crazy.

Not only are the trailblazers more viable but the cutscene whenever they gain a new path is insane while traveler just gets a drone shot of a statue.

Superbreak Welt is so goated. Run him with 200 BE + 150 speed. Enemies won't have a turn ever
And here I was annoyed that my Welt's gear really liked to roll break%.
@@automato436 I used Dr. Ratio + Aventurine, the enemies dont have a turn neither...it is the MoC buff that charge ult quick, not welt being goated.
@@HandleName_CB nah I've been a Welt main since release and his aoe imprisonment is insane. Ofc this rotation's buff is great too tho

We can’t stress how good Xueyi is nowadays. The fact that you can use the Misha LC for more CR and BE, the existence of HMC and RM. Quantum set for def ignore. Hybrid Crit/BE build (albeit very very high ceiling. Almost to a point where she is technically the highest scaling unit in this game in terms of relic building). If you can manage it, and you have perfect rolls on your pieces with BE/Crit/Atk/Spd, I can guarantee you she will NOT disappoint you. In due time, you will get the perfect relics. If Tingyun is the secret 5 star support, then a well built perfect Cell Xueyi is a secret 5 star DPS
Yeah, she is incredible. I love like she can work as crit hypercarry with Sparkle, as break with HMC and in FUA teams as well, as long as they match the weakness for extra stacks for her. She is such a jack of all trades, good at everything

@@Quasar634 It increases how quickly she get's her follow-ups by 33%. It's a pretty huge buff, although if you're just focused on breaking enemies E2 is better. It's good, but it's not Sampo's E4 levels of good, and her main roll is to break enemies, hence why I think her E2 is more necessary than E6.
The Xueyi - RM - Hat TB - Gallagher team is absurd for floor 11 this cycle

My favorite thing about hyperbreak is how even if your dps isn't built for break effect if they do decent toughness damage they can do fine. Had a lot of fun with a welt superbreak team even though he's built for crit and ehr
Yes also mc gives enough mc to the rest of the team, like 100 break for characters that had 0
I found this out when I tried ratio with him. Every follow up got over 10k extra dmg so I was like is this budget robin?
@@kokonut6510 for AOE hmc is better than robin in terms of the extra dmg since robin attack isn't aoe, and super break is

As I don't have Ruan Mei, I have to use alternatives, and thanks to this video, I am looking at several potential teams already. I'm still relatively new, so it will be a little while before I can build some of them, as I need to focus on maxing one team first, but it's great to have goals I can be confident in.

With HMC being the only character that can activate super break, it can be said that MC is now an indispensable character in any break team, very strong!

Harmony MC SUPER BREAKS The Game!
Great guide, just what i needed. Was hoping a honorable mention to sampo though since he can use the Herta 5* LC which gives BE and energy. With that u can recharge ult fast which gives massive toughness damage to all enemies.
I have been playing so much Xueyi, Ruan Mei, HatBlazer, Ghallager since getting HatBlazer. Superbreak is just stupid fun, and watching Xueyi huck her throwing brick into the abundance deer's face for like 170k feels so good xD

I'm really tempted to pull and build her, but I feel like silverwolf is just better at that role, mc can do over 200k superbreaks. The animations though hmmm.
@@reidenarbut, xueyi can "meh." the enemy all over the place. That is definitely one thing you have to take into account 😉

It's even more fun in SU where she can do 2-3 "meh" in a row, clearing entire boss phases with just her technique
used SW/RM/Galagher/HMC in the new moc and it was a ton of fun to use, something incredibly satisfying watching your healer/supports rip an elite apart while rocking great defensives.
I managed last MoC12 first half (Cocolia) with Xueyi and current MoC second half (Kafka) with Sushang with the break team and I'm so proud of my previously forgotten 4 stars. Can't wait for future characters to set toughness bars ablaze.
Seeing the part where you mention Physical MC, made me think... It would be cool if we got some event/mode in the future that lets us add more than one Trailblazer Path into a team haha.

I'm now so glad I built Serval 3 different times as I have a break build for her that is absolutely brutal with HatBlazer, Ruan Mei, and a floating 4th unit depending on the fight.
Wow, Himeko's follow-up attack mechanic from Weakness Breaks makes SO much more sense now with HMC
I got my first MoC12 3 star clear running hatblazer, ruan mei, aventurine, and silverwolf for the kafka fight. The new mc is incredible

My team before HTB was March, Fire TB, Himeko and Kafka, now its the same units but my team got stronger if more squishier lol
I used the Harmony TB with a team of Aventurine, Bailu, and Himeko on SU 5. I hadn't have this much fun using a team that incorporates different skills. I used the same team on the story boss fight yesterday. It was so much fun, but hard to figure out. But that made the fight very fun to finish.
I could tell when I finished off the Harmony Trailblazer's trial with over 120k that things would go crazy. Been using them with Ratio and Dan Heng IL, and Aventurine is definitely an honorable mention now too.
Time to finally build the Xueyi I max traced ages ago.

Thanks for the guide! I've actually been wondering about Argenti and Jing Yuan in super break comps, I've tried them both but for some reason, I thought they were very underwhelming... Specially Argenti, when I hit a single enemy with his full Ult the damage felt kinda off, as if it didn't trigger the super break (which btw I didn't see on screen). I was wondering if there's some kinda bug thatmakes the super break not appear in some instances, like if the enemy is killed BEFORE the super break happens.
Safe to say if this mechanic took off, we will be seeing more DPS with weakness insert mechanics in the future.

How do u build ur break dps in these team? Which is better damage full break effect with no crit stats or hybrid break crit with 1:2 crit and 150-180 break effect?

My favorite super break teams have been Break Sampo and Break Kafka so far, they're so freaking GREAT. I had E6 Xueyi for some time now but haven't built her (QQ supremacist here), but now that super break exists, I might just do it lol.
i tried both the standard crt build as well as a full break effect on susbang and the best i could do was 40-60k per hit which is pretty low it will 5 cycles to just clear first half. any tips on how i can improve her?
May I asked what build should i use for my sushang and xueyi if I use them with harmony mc besides changing the rope to BE? What about the body and orb? My xueyi already using atk% orb should i changes my sushang too?
I'm currently using Ratio-Aventurine with HMC on Penacony relics. It's insane. I wish I didn't sacrifice the Penacony imaginary orb (currently have a DEF orb) but I'll be farming for one again for personal damage lol. I don't mind changing out the defense orb because I'm not running speed on HMC anyway (HP boots), so survivability is pretty much covered.
The last slot is either Ruan Mei for weakness break efficiency (I had to borrow her tho) or Kafka/Pela for the debuff. Lowkey like Kafka more because she has that FUA that Aventurine can trigger, which adds to Aventurine's FUA stacks.
Already prepared for Boothill and Ruan Mei rerun, and trying my hardest to get my E6S5 Gallagher good relics, I really want this break team to be maximized. The best scenario for me is for the Memories of the Past lightcone to be rerun on Boothill's banner since I'm planning to get his lc as well. I'm already over 200 BE for HMC, having more and energy regen on top would be good.
Do I have to build the guoba character around super break? I have a few good crit relics on his set and I’m a bit worried those pieces will go to waste… :(
With Hatblazer and Ruan Mei, should I drop thief's set for Xueyi and start farming quantum set instead?

It has a weakpoint which is you still need to break enemies to get the huge advantage.

I really do enjoy the in-depth explanation and calculations about the dmg scaling and how it works (it gives great insight), but after every one of those segments, would you mind just adding on an explanation in the most simple terms? It would help a lot because I'm not gonna lie, it gets long (and i kinda lose track cuz there's a lot of info to be processed) and it would probably also help some other people understand better. Anything works really. 2 Thief2 hacker in break teams, 4 hacker if you want, 4 thief, 4 wind, 4 watchmaker if hmc doesnt have it.

What sort of build is best on Gallagher for this kind of team?
If ruan mei and hmc both have the watchmaker set on, i know the BE bonuses won't stack.. but will the BE bonus duration at least follow the latest ultimate cast?

Hey Guoba. If I remember correctly you said somewhere that toughness damage can trigger both break and super break. It doesn't seem to be working with Xueyi's ult despite the enemy having only a bit of toughness left. is this only a thing for multi hit attacks ? So would something like Topaz followup work ?
Great video as always. I was wondering if Yukong could fit in hybrid comps, I'd imagine Ruan Mei would be strictly better in any situation, but I'm also under the impression she would be worse than Asta even, since out of her entire kit only the talent has strong BE synergy while the rest focuses on more standard ATK/CRIT buffs. Maybe she could work on a Welt/Xueyi comp?

This super break new meta is absolutely crazy. My Misha hit about 200k super break on the swarm weekly boss with just one ult. He had never hit that hard with a crit build before.
I used a superbreak imaginary team (Ruan Mei, HMC, Aventurine, and a weird crit/break build Dr. Ratio) vs Kafka in this MoC 12. Got me that win while having the time of my life proccing 100k+ superbreaks.
I may try out harmony MC with Sampo and Sushang, it's been awhile since ive used them since they were my OG SU early account carries
I killed the new weekly boss with DPS Gallagher running hat MC, Ruan Mei, and Robin as supports, and it was awesome seeing Gallagher hit 600k on an ult followed by 200k with an enhanced basic

Hunt maybe? Spam actions for super break. Get BE buffs and Break Efficiency and go brrr
There is no great one. Highly likely they will make one of the new SU paths focus on breaking.
Remembrence, you can keep enemies permanently broken with the constant freezes, enemies wont ever recover from break leading to massive DPS from the entire team.
