I am from Canada and speak English. I can understand you quite clearly. I can relate with a lot of what you say. When you talk about vision perception specifically. I have had FineVision multifocal iol’s placed in my eyes. My perception of my vision from before which I was far sighted to now is not great on a few different levels. The lenses that were placed in my eyes weren’t adjusted correctly for my distance vision so now I don’t have that unless I wear glasses. The effect I get from that is a sense of blurry vision. I have halos day and night and also get glares. What I mean by that is when I look at people from certain distances I can’t see their faces or even their bodies. They just appear as a white spot until I get close enough to them. I also experience ghost images. Which means when looking at say a light post. I will see another light post ghosting out from the side of it. Lastly I also have what they call negative disphotopsias which is a shadow that appears on the outer side of the eyes. To me it feels like you are looking through binoculars at times, or like there is a shadow to the side of you. My life before these iol’s was living with progressive lenses in glasses. At least when I wore glasses my vision was crisp and clear with none of the other side effects. Whether I wear glasses or not those side effects are always there. Glad there are people like you trying to inform people about all this madness. I wasn’t afforded the same curtesy with all the possible side effects different lenses give and don’t give. Thanks

Thank you for your comment, and I'm really sorry to hear your experience. Unfortunately, I see in my practice number of doctors doing let's say mistakes in lens type selection, power calculation and it results in bad outcomes. And I see surgeons who are not providing patients with the proper comprehensive information about the IOL types and realistic visual outcomes. That's why I'm here.

I think your speaking voice is clear. The beauty of youtube or similar is that listeners can backup to repeat a sentence whenever necessary. I do that often with podcasts. Thank you for your excellent videos!

Thanks, I have watched several of your excellent videos and will watch more. You asked for feedback on presentation - I didn't notice much change from your other videos. I like your speed of speech since it saves time, and backing up is always an option. My only specific comment is about pronunciation of IOL (ha ha, the most important word). You tend to put the emphasis on the first syllable "I" and speed through the O L, but I think it would be more understandable if you put more emphasis on the 3rd syllable "L".

What are your Thoughts on Akkolens Lumina IOL which has been proven to offer about 3D of objective accommodation? Thanks in advance!!

There is no clinical data available, so despite accommodative IOLs hopefully is our future, in a next few years horizon I do not expect any significant or brake-through technology in that domain.

Please could you do a review of the Clearview 3 iol. It seems an exciting new addition to the premium iol market but always value your opinion.❤
