- The longest running play from scrimmage each year from the past three decades. A couple years only have the second longest run, just because I don't have the footage. Enjoy!

Robert Smith blowing by defensive backs, looking like he was walking. It always looked like he was thumbing his nose at physics. Played 8 seasons and retired at the top of his game. Proud he was on "my" squad.
Can you believe there was, at one point, an offense with Adrian Peterson, Brett Favre, and Randy Moss?
Randy moss was fired
@@austinc.1495 Um yeah I know. But... Can you believe there was, at one point, an offense with Adrian Peterson, Brett Favre, and Randy Moss?
@@justvincenturb lmao yea it's crazy, too bad the Vikings couldn't capitalize.
Not all primes tho
@@djzndjdjd5991 If they were all in their primes while together they'd be another version of the Triplets
I miss those AP days😫
BVW28 3 of the best RBs of all time from a talent standpoint.
Barry Sanders, Walter Payton and Adrian Peterson.
And they’ve all played for an NFC North team.
Jay Nicks very true
Big Reiner it was more like an average of 8 wins a season. Yes, I did the math. Not great but DOUBLE what you said.
@Big Reiner Adrian would be the reason we would actually win games
@Big Reiner They had a great running game but most of those years they a bad qb that kept them from consistently winning, similar to Barry Sanders in Detroit
Chester Taylor has always been one of my favorite RBs ever
7:08 that move Robert Smith put on John Lynch was too nasty
I can watch AP all day
I miss watching Robert Smith run. He was sneaky fast. He looked like he was jogging and would just glide past people effortlessly. Wish he would have played for a few more years.
2013: Adrian Peterson touchdown
2012: Adrian Peterson touchdown
2011: Adrian Peterson touchdown
2010: Adrian Peterson touchdown
2009: Adrian Peterson touchdown
2008: Adrian Peterson touchdown
Damn, why’d we have to trade after he made 1 fumble when he got back?
he wanted too much money
He was aging, but at least y'all got a great replacement in Dalvin Cook
@@ak_sk8r_175 It was time to move on from him
He beat his kid.
Patterson was a wr in a rb body. He had great vision and an awesome ability to cut and accelerate
The 1997 run is the most emotion I've ever seen from Robert Smith after a big play ever
I swear I saw him spike the ball once after a TD but can't find any video evidence to prove it.
My all time favorite Minnesota Vikings are Robert smith and Marcus Sherels because they never showboated they handed the ball to the official and walked off the field Like a professional should.
@@lorenheaton7524 My favorite kind of celebration. I read Robert Smith's book and he didn't like showboating. He preferred to high five his teammates because they're the ones that got you there. Class act!
Michael Bennett was fast AF during those culpepper-moss days
Glad Terry Allen qualified, he was a very good RB with the stats to prove it.
AP is obviously the best, but it's nice to see players like chester taylor and robert smith that are kinda forgotten. Some good players they were..... I miss those days.
2011 me: “Wow! A Toby Gerhart run where he didn’t fumble… And there it is.”
Loving your work as I've said before Funky. You're the best programming available. Hey I'm possibly older than most on here but would LOVE to see highlight videos like these going back a few more years? Like back to Fran Tarkenton days? His last year was 1978 and it was huge
Me and my brother went down to the front row in 2005 with a few minutes left on the last game vs the bears. Won’t forget that Bennett run.
nice upload
Robert Smith is part of the vikes coaching staff
Watching this, all I can hear is PA:
AND HE'S LOOOOSE!!!!
Hard to believe Leroy Hoard ever ran that far.
Halloween Sunday Denver, Colorado. I was 14 rows away from the a tion in the old mile high stadium
3:37 I was at that game in SF. AP was banged up and left the game early on so Chester got the work. I was actually a few rows up from where he celebrated.
I was there too, I got tossed out of the stadium because my nephews brought some alcohol in a water bottle, but I did see Taylor's run and before we got to our seats Williams had already scored
Damn that sucks. Did you know a guy died at Halftime? Fell off the Monster Park upper deck concession area wall to his death.
@@Skazellino did that happen at that game or the game against the Buccaneers? I went to three games that year. My older brother is a season ticket holder for the niners.
@@jamesrobinson8612 It was the Vikings game that I was at 12/9/07. Here is a news article dated 12/10/07. www.sfgate.com/49ers/article/Man-dies-in-20-foot-fall-off-wall-at-Monster-Park-3300176.php
Walker be losing his shoe on his first run with us. That’s just gorgeous
Large price to pay to get him but that's old news now
Legend says the shoe was never put back on.
Ppl forget how good Robert Smith was.
I always liked Patterson, not a great receiver but explosive speed and good moves.
Can u do best play by a Vikings tight end from each year pls. Btw love the vid
early for once, wow
Ah yes, the whizzinator, how could I forget
Amp Lee does it amply.
2:30 the effort from #26 and #23 cannot be ignored
Give Robert Smith a crease and put 6 on the board 🏃🏃
Vikes should have kept their 1996 to 2005 unis
Use me as a “break ankle” button!
7:14
4:54 Moe Better Running. Mo Definitely!
PLEASE MAKE A ROBERT SMITH HIGHLIGHT!!!! He still holds the record for most yds per TD
Robert smith was good but he also had Moss, Carter and Reed on the outside!! Damn still can’t believe we lost to Atlanta in 98!! 😢
@@tsetanphuntsok4364 Yep! I'm an Eagles fan but I wanted the Vikings to win that game, that would've made the Super Bowl a much better game and there's a chance Elway wouldn't have gotten his second ring
RS was definitely the second best RB in vikings history. He left the game with a lot of yards left on the field. #lefttoosoon
SKOL
Adrian Peterson highlights
Do best play of every starter on the vikings currently.
1998...maybe the fastest 74 yards I've ever seen.
Anyone see kirks stats at 1:14? Dude was slinging it
Why isn't Paul Allen in any of these. Would have made this video better.
