Disappointed that Tilta actually isn’t shipping the Basic Ring like this. They changed the frame from carbon fiber to aluminum.

The float looks insane but I must admit it’s a bit big for me 😂 couldn’t see myself running that at a wedding 😂

Increase the roll axis strength to 60-70ish after you run auto calibrate. The gimbal auto calibrates usually under 50 for the strenth of the roll axis. It should help the shaky wobble.

Hey Morgan I just get the Basic Ring, my question is if you figure it out about the power, for example when you connect the Ronin battery as HANDLE the power start running thru the FULL RING, there is no way to use the power just when you turn on the camera right??, so the battery is sharing the power even if there is no gimbal attached. I figure it out when I leave the ring setup for 2 days with full battery and sudden the battery was completely dead..

Cheers 🤙 Unfortunately I haven’t used a ronin M but my experience with this is completely positive, using this rig for filming cars is fantastic it’s not massive but not small, I can’t say I’m disappointed with anything during my time with it
Hi, do you have any problem with locking the Ronin RS2 to the basic ring? We had problems to completely locked the Ronin RS2 to the ring, which caused small shakes on the gimbal.
I checked all the locking points and it’s as solid as a rock, I think it was down to me using one point if contact

Not sure if it would make a difference for the bumpiness, but it seems as if the top portion where it’s curved should be curved forwards and not back. I don’t know if that’s preference or if that affects to handling.
It curves towards you so you can get it closer to your body and not holding it out further, thus putting less strain on your arms.
Hey man I've seen some reviews saying that the RS2 doesn't actually fully install to the ring completely play free no matter how much you try to tighten it, can you confirm please? Thanks
My personal experience, the gimbal fits perfect and I’ve not had a problem 🤔I ran this set up for a wedding last week and it was completely solid👌
You can buy the controller grip separately.

This might sound stupid but can you switch lenses without having to rebalance the gimbal while mounted on the ring??
Not a stupid question at all! You’ll need to rebalance with every weight change you make, if you change a lens or even add an ND filter it’s always advised that you rebalance the gimbal due to any weight changes that could cause stress on the gimbal motors, cheers for watching🫡

The handle from the rs2 plugs into a connector at the top and powers it 👍

What makes you say this is also for the RSC 2? It’s definitely not. Where would the RSC 2 even mount to this thing. It doesn’t have a removable grip.

Just one problem! The basic ring grip is aluminum not carbon fiber, I thought I ordered a basic ring grip in carbon fiber but did get one in aluminum! 😏
Good note! It has a carbon fibre design to match the RS2 but is made of aluminium

A beast??? Lmao this thing wobbles like there’s no tomorrow…. If you knew what a real stable gimbal is , you’d realize where the rs2 mounts to the base of the ring is so loose and shakes like there’s no tomorrow…. Utter garbage….. sold my own the same day…. This has to be the biggest waste of money…
