- Join me on an exciting tech journey as I dive into the world of vintage and modern computers! In this episode, I put three different PCs to the test. First up, the Asus P4V8X-X, which had a surprising moment when a capacitor popped during testing, but fear not, it's still kicking! Next, we explore the Biostar MCP6PB-M2+, a reliable machine that works great. Lastly, we encounter the ASRock H81-HDS, the newest addition to the lineup, but unfortunately, it suffered damage to the CPU slot. Watch as we uncover the highs and lows of these fascinating machines! Don't forget to like, subscribe, and join the adventure! 🚀💻 #TechAdventure #VintageComputers #ModernPCs #ASUS #Biostar #ASRock #TechJourney #TechReview #PCRepair #computerhistory

nice.
Looks like the CPU Socket for System 3 at: 20:03 onwards has bent pins!
You are right, thats why its not working. 😭
@@VintageBoardExplorerSometimes they can be straightened out but those type of pins can be quite tricky, I’ve done a couple of sockets with some success…
I tried but didnt make it. Need a microscope for that.
Ye one of those aliexpress andonstar microscopes would do the job, I've straightened pins for my friend with one.
the noise u hear is just a ball bearing
I've got an old Abit AN52 I found at the thrift store. Had 3 blown capacitors on it that I replaced just for shits and giggles and it actually works. Way too old to really be usable for anything modern but still fun to mess with.
Second pc has a nice case!
Yeah, its special. I gave it to a friend who said the same.
may as well test with another cpu verified to work with last board.
The Biostar motherboard did have parallel. It was a header on the motherboard. You needed to attach a connector to the header if you wanted to use it. Header is located near the ide header. Colored pink.
Thanks, I got that information from a friend after I recorded the video.
I heard that as a mechanical sound, as in a HDD click of death.
Maybe it seemed like that on the recording. Was a low fat sound. But it could be something else. Hard drive works.
I see you have a lot of components
Do you have a shop? Or is this your private collection?
Its a private collection, I buy and sell the unwanted all the time on ebay.
like the colors of the amd board with blue pcb and yellow and orange on the slots instead of boring white
Yeah, they are so colorfull 😁
That AMD board is from that period where you could "unlock" extra CPU cores heh had lots of those. Some of those Semprons could unlock into dual core Athlons and dual and triple core Athlons could unlock into quad core Phenoms
Didnt know that, will Google it. Thanks!
@@VintageBoardExplorer Not all boards can do that though. It depends on the chipset and the board model
Thanks for the windows licence :3
You are welcome, all for my subscribers 😁
where is it?
On the side of the case
Sad that the last motherboard do not work , but the case is very nice . overall good find
Yes, I agree with everything you said. Case will be used 👍
"P4V8X-X" ... its spoken X dash X
Good to know. Where are you from ?
