nice board , I'm looking for something for my 1.4 thunderbird cpu , for 90s early 2k games.
the noise u hear is just a ball bearing
Nice
Second pc has a nice case!
Yeah, its special. I gave it to a friend who said the same.
I see you have a lot of components Do you have a shop? Or is this your private collection?
Its a private collection, I buy and sell the unwanted all the time on ebay.
The Biostar motherboard did have parallel. It was a header on the motherboard. You needed to attach a connector to the header if you wanted to use it. Header is located near the ide header. Colored pink.
Thanks, I got that information from a friend after I recorded the video.
Looks like the CPU Socket for System 3 at: 20:03 onwards has bent pins!
You are right, thats why its not working. 😭
@@VintageBoardExplorerSometimes they can be straightened out but those type of pins can be quite tricky, I’ve done a couple of sockets with some success…
I tried but didnt make it. Need a microscope for that.
Ye one of those aliexpress andonstar microscopes would do the job, I've straightened pins for my friend with one.
nice.
I've got an old Abit AN52 I found at the thrift store. Had 3 blown capacitors on it that I replaced just for shits and giggles and it actually works. Way too old to really be usable for anything modern but still fun to mess with.
may as well test with another cpu verified to work with last board.
"P4V8X-X" ... its spoken X dash X
Good to know. Where are you from ?
I heard that as a mechanical sound, as in a HDD click of death.
Maybe it seemed like that on the recording. Was a low fat sound. But it could be something else. Hard drive works.
That AMD board is from that period where you could "unlock" extra CPU cores heh had lots of those. Some of those Semprons could unlock into dual core Athlons and dual and triple core Athlons could unlock into quad core Phenoms
Didnt know that, will Google it. Thanks!
@@VintageBoardExplorer Not all boards can do that though. It depends on the chipset and the board model
like the colors of the amd board with blue pcb and yellow and orange on the slots instead of boring white
Yeah, they are so colorfull 😁
Thanks for the windows licence :3
You are welcome, all for my subscribers 😁
where is it?
On the side of the case
Sad that the last motherboard do not work , but the case is very nice . overall good find
Yes, I agree with everything you said. Case will be used 👍
great videoim looking forward for similar videos of oldpcs
Thanks for your support 😁
had that board and chip back in 2006 still got the chip played games on it cos i was fed up with the crappy intel chip
good find that asrock board - although its socket 754 and 939 addon cards dont exist anymore -
Yes, true. I tried searching online but didnt find any. Will try to look at the flea market, you never know what you can find there.

I ja bolujem od iste dijagnoze. Skupljam kramu na Hreliću i reciklažnim dvorištima. DDR mi nije dovoljno retro a toga ima najvise. Ovo kaj ti furaš doma ja preskočim. Mene zanimaju bež kante socket 370 i starije. Sretno 👋
Drago mi je da nisam jedini xD. Bijele kante je teško naći tj. danas su puno rijeđe pa su meni i ovi sasvim ok i zanimljivi. Imas kakve kontakte u reciklažnim možda :)) ?
@@VintageBoardExplorer A imam al nemrem odavati svoje izvore. Zg reciklažna dvorišta su zabranjeni teritorij zato treba otići malo dalje 🙌

Nice find man! I have an MSI 645E Max-C, but I don't understand the differences between mine and this "U" version. They seems very similar with 645DX chipset and AGP universal too.
Thanks. As I can see, the difference is that your board has a CNR slot and the "U" version does not have. See here : theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/msi-645e-max-c theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/msi-645e-max-u
Does the battery have any juice? There are boards which won't start when it's empty. I
Not sure if I checked, will check it out, thanks
@@VintageBoardExploreri had a fully functional board in the dead-board-box for 5 years because of that :P
@@chaoticsystem2211Wow. I removed it but did not help. After that i reseated the cpu and it started to work :)) Will post update in the next video.
amazing that last board survived the damage and posted
Hey, can anyone tell me what a flea market does mean?
Hi, its a place where regular people can come and sell their old stuff, clothes, houshold items and similar. Some of them bring their old computers too. See this image to see how that looks : www.royalcroatiantours.com/uploads/4/2/8/1/42818845/published/hrelic-flea-market.jpg?1565251028
It's where you get them fleas
@@chaoticsystem2211Among other stuff 😆
@@VintageBoardExplorer I wish something like that was in India. But we have "Chor Bazaar" where you can buy off brand items and Stolen Phones, Cameras, Drone , etc. but it's hard to sell your old stuff nowadays
@@Naruto-uzukamiThat sounds interesting. I mean I would not buy stolen goods because it will make them steal more, but it would be interesting to see what there is. Its hard to sell, but if you have space to keep old stuff, everything you keep will be worth much more in 5 years.
"Bye" Don't record your voice in stereo. It totally fucks up dolby pro logic... If you want a cheap voice only, get a usb microphone. It's mono and doesn't pick up any analog noise on the way to the pc.
Thanks for the suggestion, will try it !
Cool find!
Good find ,that gpu is very cool plus that sound card
Thanks, happy to have found them too :) I will include the GPU's and different cards in the next giveaway (probbably at 200 or 500 subscribers).

Fun and entertaining video. You seem to know your stuff! If I could make some suggestions it would be sound related. The background hum is really annoying and the room reverb when you are talking. Turn of extra equipment in the lab before recording and invest in a "lav-mic" 💪 It will be what makes your videos feel more professional. Keep up the good work! Make more videos!
Hi and thanks for your comment. I am glad you found it fun and entertaining. I was thinking about a better sound setup for some time now, but just did not have time to do it. I have a dictaphone and a clip on microphone that I will connect for the next video to see if it will be any better. Microphone is a Chinese cheap mic but lets see how it will perfom. Will do a comparison of sounds camera / phone / dictaphone in a next video. And thanks again for the comment, it will sure make me want to record next one as soon as I catch time :)
Why did i think the HP was gonna get any more attention rhan it did XD
We are still small, we will see how much more people will get in the giveaway at 200 subscribers :)

Hey im trying to sent you my email but yt keeps removing my comment.. soo
Dude, you could have cleaned and painted your father-in-law's case. Also, you could have done some cable management with some zip ties. You could have modded the case if you wanted to increase airflow. You could have done many things to improve the case's aesthetics.
You are right. It has been cleaned offline. Did not color it since its in a "hole" under the table so only the front side is what everybody sees. As for the cable managment - I am not that type of guy, sorry. 😂
