      I’m not even into football, or sports really, but Wayne and the rest of the guy’s passion is infectious. You can tell it means everything to them, and for that you wish for the club of Wrexham and the town to do very well indeed. Wins the league and he stayed in his bar with family and friends and the emotion at the end where Wayne leans back against the blinds, mouth open and the cones forward with big smiling eyes. Couldn’t happen to nicer bunch of lads.

    Great interview! I'm in it for the long haul, Wayne! I had the pleasure of meeting Wayne in LA during the tour and again when I visited Wrexham last month, and he is the most welcoming, genuine, generous, kind and passionate person. Everyone I met in Wrexham was wonderful and Wayne is a fantastic spokesperson for the town.

    During season one I always felt Wayne was the most pragmatic of all the fans. He’s passionate but as a business owner the gets that side as well. I really hope to meet him when we come to wrexham in May from Tampa Florida. We will be supporting the Turf and every local business we can while we are there!!!

    Just come across this podcast and what a luvverly pair of blokes 👍 I know Wayne by sight at the home games and always call into the Turf before the game AND because I have a disability (spinal stenosis) Wayne always makes sure I get in 🥰 I've tried to make it easier by using a manual wheelchair instead of my bulky motability scooter I'm even going to try it on my sticks tonight before the cup game 🤣 Gives me much more pain but worth the effort and I only park in the University grounds.. Back to the podcast..Loved it ! ONLY thing that I wasn't too happy about... For my sins 😢 I'm a Red Manc supporter for my second team 🤣 AND my son in law Lee (who usually attends the games with me) is a huge LFC fan 😢 BUT our Love for The Town gets us through 🤣🤣🤣
    Great work. Both keep it up 👍 🍻🍻

    I’ve had many chats with wayne when on lockdown at his butty van outside the turf pub. It was the only place open. I usually get bacon, sausage and egg on a bap with brown sauce. Well nice 👍

    Thank you for the honest interview and I always liked Wayne Jones with how he supports Wrexham. He's realistic and always positive.

    I think the first game in the EFL was just a one off. I really don't think it had anything to do with traveling to the U.S Mullins absence had a huge impact for the first game back into promotion. The mental game was lost that day. As Wrexham gets it's feet under them they will be a power house by the end of the season. Mullin leading the way.

    I'm fine with the MLS it's just that I never get to see their games because they're only on Apple TV. I really like the smaller teams that are scrappier like the Tampa Bay rowdies and the Lexington Sporting Club. I can see most of their games on ESPN plus and if I can't watch a team play it's kind of hard to root for them.

    Nice knowin' ya Wayne. The Turf soon to be under new ownership due to untimely circumstances. Better than the wedding with the Mrs in earshot? Gonna get Prigozned within the week I wager. Rookie move mate.

      @deldavies855 maybe Wrexham can buy it off them and go into partnership with Wayne ? He certainly deserves it especially as he has been there through the hard times 😉👍

    Pathetic now. Treating Jim like a star. Only the landlord. Too much now.

      Hes the best landlord the Turf as ever had nobody sees what he does for the homeless in Wrexham example feeding them on Xmas day and donating thousands to the foodbank in Wrexham you need to look what he's done before you post pathetic comments FACT!!!!!!

    • @denysedubois9334
      @denysedubois9334 Před 8 měsíci +1

      @stu - I think you will reconsider when you know that The Turf is open 365 DAYS a year (even Xmas and New Year) ever year since he was the landlord (30 years) minus the COVID shutdown. That is dedication as he understands that The Turf was always, since 1800’s, the lifeblood that keeps/kept the town together during all their hardships.

      Being a good landlord is one hell of a skilled job. You need to be a diplomat, a businessmen, a community centre manager, a hub for charities and even a bit of a psychologist considering you sell alcohol to humans. Any dickhead can be a crap landlord. It takes something proper special to be a good one.
