    Can you just use the o2 sensor hole that's stock?

    • @GlowShift
      @GlowShift  Před 6 lety +1

      The factory o2 sensor is used to send the emissions information to the vehicle's ECU. Disconnecting or replacing that will cause the check engine light to come on and possibly make the vehicle not run the way it is supposed to. To install our gauge, additional sensors need to be added because they will need to send information directly to the gauge. If you have already removed your factory sensors and tuned accordingly, then yes, you can just use the factory bungs.

    In this video to calibrate the Sensors were secured to the exhaust, but on the installation instructions it says to remove them to calibrate. What is the correct way to do this?

    • @GlowShift
      @GlowShift  Před rokem +1

      The only way to calibrate them is to connect them to the exhaust. They need the exhaust to calibrate.

      @@GlowShift this is not what the instructions state. You guys may need to update that. The instructions in the box says to calibrate it to fresh air.

    I have a dual plane intake where each plenum connects to every other runner in the firing order so each plenum only sees two of the barrels of a 4 barrel carb. What is the purpose of a dual band gauge vs a single band gauge since the afr gets mixed together two barrels at a time on each side of the engine? Is it to detect if something goes wrong on the left or right side of the engine? Otherwise if everything is operating normal wouldnt you just see the same reading on both sides? Thanks

    • @GlowShift
      @GlowShift  Před 2 lety

      This gauge is really meant for vehicles that have a dual exhaust system so you can accurately read the air/fuel ratio of the exhaust coming out of both headers before it goes through the catalytic converter.

    I’m having an issue with my sensor reading a solid 11.8 when i give it any kind of throttle, no fluctuation at all. Would this be a faulty sensor or gauge?

    • @GlowShift
      @GlowShift  Před rokem +1

      Are both sensors reading 11.8 or just one? Have you tried switching the sensor plugs into the back of the gauge to see if the reading switches? That would give a better understand if it is a sensor.

  • @joepecsi1332

    Doesnt it need to calibrate out of the exhaust first?

    • @GlowShift
      @GlowShift  Před 5 lety

    What is the Data logging, meaning what does it log and how would I view the Log Data?

    • @GlowShift
      @GlowShift  Před 3 lety

      The data logging wire is so you can connect the wideband control box to a computer and log the wideband readings. You would need to use a data logging software.
