    After uploading this I received a phone call from the power company. They are going to cut our power for a few hours. This is a good time to have a auxiliary way to heat your home. I do have a generator but this desiel heater is cheaper to run. Run hose through a window and there's a bit of heat.

      It is nice after being out in the cold to come into a warm tent. To know you won't have to sleep in layers of clothes. Lol

    Like ya say, with the openings plugged up, the temperature would raise significantly more. Good idea, Tim

      Can’t, you will get a error 5 code, basically saying that it’s a heater, not a blower.

    Put in a return duct to make your tent warmer or to save fuel.

    • @Outdoors4adventure

      Yes I saw that could be done. In my area it doesn't get cold enough for me to worry to much about it. Thanks for the information.

    Man you guys got pounded with the snow and cold. Hopefully the power situation doesn't last too long. That little heater seems pretty awesome especially to get such a warm temperature in that cold of weather.

    Thanks for the review Tim, looks to be a good unit, how much diesel do you think it will take to run all night?

    • @Outdoors4adventure
      @Outdoors4adventure  Před 3 lety

      Will have to test fuel usage. I estimate a gallon would get you through 3 nights at least.

  • @littleriveroutdoorsman6514

    Do you have to charge the 12V battery, or does the unit keep the battery charged? I am planning on going to Colorado in November and wonder if it would run all week.

    I have a question about this unit. I also purchased a vevor brand with the same controller and cannot seem to find how to set the temperature. There are lots of resources on youtube for the blue and black controllers but not this one it seems. My remote also doesnt seem to want to pair so I have emailed the manufacturer. Unit works great I just can't seem to set the temperature on this one in particular

      In this video I Bluetooth the controller to the unit. I still need to refresh my memory about temperature adjustment. I did use the controller to set it after it was linked. I will try to get some more information, we just a bit busy right now.

    Here again I see the connection of a diesel heater which is extremely inefficient. Why try to heat cold outside air? The heater will be MUCH more effective if another hose is connected to the air intake, and that hose also enters the tent. That way one is heating air from inside the tent - like a regular house furnace where the cold air return is inside air.

    Might want to keep a carbon monoxide detector with you in the tent. Might save your life, one day. I know most units have it built in them... But if that's outside the tent several feet away.. Might be no use to you. You want something that monitors where you're human self would reside.. i.e. the tent

    • @Outdoors4adventure
      @Outdoors4adventure  Před 2 lety

      It would be hard to get carbon monoxide It the tent from a diesel heater setup. The top of the tent is also vented. The desiel heater is in fact safer than using the buddy heater.
