    I installed the AIM ECU on my 450 RL, along with FMF Q muffler, 450X header, air box lid removal and desmogged. I got the handlebar switch with two maps from Taco Moto. The two maps seem very similar. Big boost in torque, and very smooth power delivery. Great motor for dual sport. Great bike for dual sport!!

    I have a 23 crf 450RL and rode it about 500 miles. I just installed the aim ecu and the graves exhaust and WOW! So much smoother, a completely different bike. Really not very hard to install at all. I truly recommend. I also bought the switch and it's easy to route through and set up.

    Mine is on order, I didnt buy the switch, I knew up front I will be wanting to buy it later, so for the time being, just going with what they send me and have the map switch in another month or two. Thanks for sharing and I enjoyed you helping the pup find his way home at the end. New sub. have a blessed week.

      Taking her out for a dual sport camping weekend in the cascades tomorrow! Should have more info after that. We generally don't go above 6000' over here in Washington so won't be able to get Colorado-like elevation tests. So far, no complaints on the few rides I've done since posting.

    Does your handlebar map switch retain the settings after restarting your bike? I can't seem to get mine to retain my previous settings. It always defaults back to Map 1 TC 5. Awesome vid by the way.

      There may be an issue with some bikes not remembering the last map sw settings.
      We’re working the engineers in italy at AIM on a software patch to resolve that.
      Taco Moto will contact all owners with info on how we’ll do these updates for free

    Your riding sequences were very poor. Of course it's going to backfire on overrun. Put the stock pipe back on. As for the jerkiness, you completely missed the actual issue. The jerky throttle response is at very low speeds, in first and maybe second gear. Hope you enjoy your CRF450RL, it's a hell of a great motorcycle!

    • @blackdood
      @blackdood  Před 2 lety +3

      Sorry you didn't like the riding sequence. I'm still learning how to put these videos together. Unfortunately I didn't get any footage prior to the exhaust. The jerky throttle is also nigh impossible to demonstrate on video. Did the best I could. The flame outs were also something that's hard to catch on video but I can say I haven't had one single flame out with the new ECU.

    • @gt7500
      @gt7500 Před 2 lety +1

      @@blackdood Thanks for the kind reply. I believe it would be hard to demonstrate the two issues. I've got a 2019 model. After a fairly long break in it no longer stalls and the jerky throttle response is mostly gone. It is completely stock.

      @@ebhkkc1 I'm with you.. my 2022 crf450rl was pretty disappointing when I got it home. I tried the G2 throttle and really didn't notice a huge difference. I found a vortex on FB market place a few mins away from a new bike and picked it up. The slow speed throttle jerk is gone but I'm not happy with dumping another $500 into a 12k bike.
