The woman in this video is a friend of mine. We use to be neighbors in the sro we lived in in Skid Row. She's a beautiful soul and is a talented artist as in painting.
The only thing I can say about Skid Row after living their for nearly 10yrs....Its a reality check. For better or worse, it will change you.

Skid Row is scary as you can imagine. A friend drove me through there and seeing it for the 1st time burned a fear into me that i never want to see myself in.. Its sad... Blocks and blocks of people.. mounds of trash, shopping carts, and discarded items... Its a human waste dump.. i can only imagine what it is like after the sun goes down... Sad that California cant seem to care for those people in better ways.. albeit, some of them choose to live that way for various reasons.. a few main reasons like suffering from mental illness and long standing drug problems. Seems like what hell would be like. I suggest taking your troubled and or spoiled rotten kids to see this place so that they will see what life is like when you have lost all hope. This should do a proper job of setting them on a straight course in life.
