Thank you for posting this video. I like watching stuff like this... puts life into perspective for you. Nobody is above or below anyone else... we are all human. Let us pray for those struggling under these circumstances... that one day they get out and get to experience a better life while hanging onto all the wisdom they've gathered here
I worked the mean streets of Skid Row as a LAFD Paramedic, I attest to the reality of this video. We respond day and night to emergencies there, & it never slows. The stories are heartbreaking. The Union Rescue Mission does their best to make a difference. Help me to help the Union Rescue Mission and also Artists Against Hunger And Poverty. Dying for days, you got to give it to those people who sleep on concrete and still be able to walk around if it was me they would have to take me to intensive care.

I went from a 6 figure income to being homeless. Mental illness makes up a large percentage of the homeless population . I got out of it. It’s a hard life. There aren’t good times while being homeless; there’s just bad days and worse days. Homelessness is dehumanizing, physically unsafe ( especially for women ),

Every community needs to find a way to deal with this. Designate an area where people can temporarily live and survive until they get themselves together and get back in a permanent home. Take a park area , and just convert it to a campground with sanitary sewer, electric power, clean water supply, night lighting, secure border fence or whatever. Provide basic security measures so people will be safe. Take some of those Katrina trailers and put them in if needed, they have thousands. This could work.

Homelessness is a personal problem that affects society as a whole. Get them off drugs and jobs. No one can do it for them. A lot of them want someone else to do it. Not going to happen. They half to do it there selfs. Programs and jobs.
