makes sense that there is much more to the entities realm than what we see in DBD
A bit like the Domains of Dread in Ravenloft from D&D
Well this is just a theory of what I think they’re going to do with the backwater, but I don’t think the back water is just one ever changing realm I think it’s like a amalgamation of all of the worlds that the entity has absorbed that’s why it’s changing that’s why it looks different every time because every time we go there we are spawning in a different realm but it’s still the back water

It'll be cool if the "ever-changing" map mechanic includes it reshaping into specific regions which house actual DBD maps and are linked to irl time zones. Like at 8:00 PM EST, a swampy region of the map gets struck by a storm caused by the Entity and is reshaped into the Red Forest, and a new legion of enemies/loot appear in that area for a time period.

It's cool that they are going to give the Backwater swamp some love. Maybe we'll see references to the Hag there, and some locals like the Pale Rose, or the Grim Pantry.
Maybe DBD will give a map overhaul when it releases, or before hand to tease it.
this is crazy, i am already excited for this game. the art looks amazing. I really wonder what the gameplay is gonna be like. Im sold
From the looks of it its going to be very similar to evil dead the game (underrated in my opinion) which may have been shut down but was really fun just didn't quite get around very well making it die off fairly early so as long as they do good on marketing and keep working on the game fairly consistently it would probably be a major hit

This was what I asked for a long time ago, now we need all the characters (or a large number of them) in this game
Well they said that this is another realm in the dbd universe that’s also controlled by the entity. I don’t think they could have characters cross over because that would kinda tear a hole in the lore of dbd. In dbd it’s said that the survivors and killers go through these trials endlessly until they run out of emotions to give and then they get discarded. If they were all of a sudden in a different realm not doing a trial then that would have been a lie. I could maybe see an excuse for the survivors since the entity could first bring them into this realm and then when they are done here they get transported to the trials.

Even though this seems like a cool game I don’t feel like it really fits within the DBD universe so far. I mean the entities goal is to kidnap survivors and force them to do the trials, does that mean there is no escape for these new people just like the others?
That mostly likely is the case. And you could see this different game as just another version of the Trial to the Entity; you got the goal of surviving and "escaping" to live another day and instead of just pallets and flashlights and flashbangs being your only way of fighting back, you actually have weapons. It's just another way for the Entity to consume emotion, and whats not a better emotion-generator than a fight for survival?
If its structured like Left 4 dead they are probably stuck looping through the levels forever, and will never really escape.
I mean they're called trespassers so who knows if they belong in the entity's realm. They may of not be purposely grabbed by the entity.
It'd make more sense if it was another group of people.
Think of a secret government project like when people were going to the Upside Down in ST.
They said that trials are only one way of feeding The Entity in the stream. This could be another way to feed it as well.
Is this not just Behaviour's take on the Evil Dead game? Just reskinning it with their own theme. Even the current UI looks similar.

You should make an open world survival horror where we can build bases and explore this world

I’m really glad you are all expanding DBD with these new games. While the lore is interesting, it’s not really fun exploring if you can’t actually experience it. So, I can’t wait to see what’s in store.
Been a while since we saw some dimensional rot or decay, can't wait to see what this game has in store.

This is amazing. I've somewhat fallen out of love with DBD over the last few years, but I love the DBD universe and worldbuilding under the surface. Hyped for more games set in that world!
it really looks like remnant 2 but with ur own artstyle and personally, as a fan from both games, im so freaking excited about this, hope it turns out a great game and that makes you create more original and different games, i see so much potential with this "entity's realm" kinda multiverse!!!

I’m getting “this is what the entity does with its failed maps, the ones that don’t become part of the trials.” Maybe the people in this realm weren’t quite fit for the trials themselves to feed on so they’re thrown to the backwater to be disposed of?

I like this take! Its definitely different on from the classic DBD trials. Kinda reminds me of the House of Arkham tomes that follow Maurice and the samurai.
I'm slightly disappointed Project T isn't just the addition of a playable Mr. T to the game.
A third person shooter is about the last thing I imagined for the DBD universe, after a battle royale maybe

it would be cool if, after the release of the game, characters from different movies, TV series and games would be added in the future, as it happens in DBD
why so much hype in a barebones project? it looks like ass theres literally nothing to show more than some concept art and seems to be just another left for dead wannabe but knowing how bad these guys are at coding and balancing their own game its safe to say this will either get cancelled in a year or so or will eventually die due to lack of player progression, choppy systems and annoying/unfun game mechanics. Its going to be deathgarden all over, again.

Ah taking something from TwoStar I see! Showing the Dev cycle and decisions, hope you show the difficulties along with it.
I wonder what reason will be given in the lore for Trespassers having guns, but the Survivors in DbD not having weapons. Is it because the Entity has specifically put the Survivors in the realms, but Trespassers are just running around with no intervention?
The idea of people in the realm where the Entity is unaware is a unique idea. I just hope the game builds more on the lore and keeps some kind of horror atmosphere.
The Tomes have been talking about weird stuff entirely unlike DbD Gameplay happening in other parts of the Entity's Realm since they started doing Tomes.
Maybe the Entity is testing for something bigger, like taking a whole country. So It needs to see how far it can go, and the next step is going against guns.
Hope this comes out like a combo of Death Stranding meets DBD

Lately when I have been playing Dead by Daylight I've been saying the same thing, "let's get this (crap) over with..." however this game and The Casting of Frank Stone has definitely got my attention and looking forward to something exciting and new to play

It was my first thought when I saw this. I miss Sawbones and Fog, they were my favorite Scavengers.
I really hope that with characters such as Vecna going willingly into the realm and bringing the weave, potentially biting off more than it can thoroughly chew, with creations such as the Blighted Serum and the Hatch and items in general, slowly but surely the entity is showing cracks in its power, and upon such a time that DBD servers have to go down for good, we see the cause as the entity finally being killed by something. Maybe all it took was a shitload of guns.
If the Huntress is in this game, you'll have my attention

This makes sense and has a lot of potential considering how interesting the Dead By Daylight universe is. The main things I worry about though are the aesthetic (perhaps a little over done, based on what we've seen) but something that gradually made DBD's maps more interesting was the change in their overall aesthetic, so I hope the same can be done here. I also worry that this will end up too much like the Evil Dead Game, which was a bit of a disappointment for me.
Do we get to play as the thrall? That would be cool.
