Dr.Sinervo resolved my diaphragmatic endo symptoms with excision surgery in 2020 (at Northside Hospital/CEC in Atlanta). Prior to that my lung collapsed with my cycle, recurrently. He is the best, I was lucky to have his care and am so thankful not to need any more lung surgeries or chest tubes, so painful.

I have hard so many years of awful shoulder pain that gets worse in my period and never thought it could be related to endometriosis. I almost went through local shoulder surgery. So glad I didn’t. This video is so extremely enlightening, thank you!!!! Finally an explanation’

May I ask if you sought out treatment, and if so, what? And has it helped? Thx!

I can’t believe I’m just now discovering this condition! I have been undergoing so many tests for so many years. I’ve been sent to GI dr, heart dr, autoimmune specialist, gallbladder tests not once but twice in 3 years, & so many more and nobody ever mentioned this. I have right side pain, shoulder pain and pain in diaphragm area! Wow after paying all that money, I find the answer for free on CZcams !

You actually sound like me. I'm scheduled for a Hida scan in 6 days and am thinking my symptoms are more geared towards endometriosis. I've had some shortness of breath , intermittent shoulder pain( I thought was related to my diet and gallbladder) . I also have hypothyroidism and low ferritin. God bless you.

I wasn't his patient but he visited me in the hospital a few times after my various surgeries for my extreme case of endometriosis! Dr. Sinervo is amazing and so is his team! I was so grateful to be under their care.

I’d love to hear more about vascular compressions and how that might share the same symptoms of Thoracic endo…or maybe something like Thoracic Outlet Syndrome…and how can we utilize pre-surgical imaging (CT vs CTA vs MRI all with specific perimeters ex: breathing protocols and proper positioning during scans) to rule out or confirm the conditions aforementioned and therefore gain clarity on the necessity of a VATS?

I’m the same - if you think you have it, keep pushing for answers and remember it often won’t show up on scans. Mine started out as right shoulder pain and breathlessness around the time of my period. I now feel like my rib cage is crushing in on my lungs when I breath and there’s always some form of pain. It’s very unpleasant, so I really feel for you.

I'm going in for my 1st lap on Tuesday and we suspect thoracic endo. I never thought it would be gyno related because I never get period pain :( so many years of suffering xx

I have extreeeemely painful hiccups, chest and shoulder pain, and spasmic projectile vomiting around my period, today included which is why I found this video! I have endometriosis excision on July 17th but does not include thoracic cavity this time. I’m definitely worried that these symptoms won’t stop after my excision of the rest.

Hello, is it possible for a patient who had endometriosis and full hysterectomy to still have endometriosis years after the surgery. Patient presents with many endo symptoms and still has symptoms of “cycles.” I’m wondering if all the tissue is not removed, can it still remain viable despite hysterectomy. Have you covered this topic any of your videos? I’d love to learn more. Thank you.

A hysterectomy isn't going to treat endometriosis. Adenomyosis is within the uterus, so a hysterectomy will help. The implants need to be removed to treat endometriosis symptoms and they're not contained within the uterus.

I have an upper quadrant attack one time a month and projectile vomit. I had adenomyosis and they said they did not see endometriosis but I question her skills because she did an open incision above my belly button 6 inch long for a robotic operation. I am tired of having attacks! my condition is more confusing because I at one time had type 1 SOD but now do not have liver function elevation or other abnormalities of the biliary systems. They said they think it is not connected to my biliary system and think it's endometriosis but don't have anyone to help me because I am on Medicaid. my Medicaid provider who did my hysterectomy has no idea what she's doing.
My pain attacks happen when Im ovulating or first day of my period. TIRED OF IT!!!
