The only WSBK title that Suzuki has won was with the K5, K6 model. I think that title speaks volumes as to how good the K5.K6 platform really is. Nice comparison video. Thank you.
Mladin was pretty good in AMA Superbike during that era.
@@eddiebones20 Mladin was a fierce competitor. I think he single-handedly raised the bar in AMA racing. I met Mat Mladin at Laguna seca in 2006 and he was a super cool guy, but he sure disliked Ben Spies and Bens mother. Kind of strange my favorite ama racer was an Aussie.
@P.DuncanMonk You have to be very cautious when making such statements. Was a huge fan of Suzuki when a I was a kid. As an adult I tried a Ducati and never ever rode anything else. A WSBK title doesn't really mean, that the motorcycle is really good in stock form. Until Suzuki started using Brembo, their brakes were utter garbage.
The K5 was definitely one of the best bikes that Suzuki made but look at what were they racing against? Ducati had the 999R with 28hp less in stock form. Only real danger was from Vermeulen on Honda and Haga on Yamaha. Not much other riders there that year. Toseland on the underpowered 999R. So... Wouldn't say this title means that much.
On the other hand, the success of the K5 in club racing... That's something completely different and you would be right there!

Do you Have the lap times from each bikes!? Were you using the traction control !? Awesome vídeo!!
I don't have lap times unfortunately ☹️ I need to look into a data logger solution that works for both bikes. The traction control kicked in a few times on the Duc but I don't think it did on the Suzuki. I wasn't too aggressive with the throttle this time around.
Wow,you have two superb bikes. The 1198s is in my opinion one of the best analogue v twins ever made,and yours is a peach, im jealous. Keep it forever you'll regret not having it and what can i say about the K6 arguably the pinnacle of gsxr thous!. But thats not all its one of the most tastefully moded bukes ive seen, just beautiful,!. Even more jealous, you'll never find another like that one. Your a lucky guy and btw i think you should be in the advanced group on track, your way to quick for the intermediate group. Keep up the great vlogs.

I have a K6 that is nice but not nice as yours. How do you like the forks? Are they from a newer model (smaller diameter)? Also from the tack, you’re not running in the crazy zone yet (over 10K). That’s were the magic happens. Lol

Fellow 1198s rider here. A couple of things that I noticed. I don't know if its the light/camera, but I never see the shift lights come on. Are they broken or are you short shifting a little? Hard to tell from the sound. There's very little sound change from no lights to full shift lights. Also, might be time to swap out the brake and clutch fluids, they're getting a little dark lol

Did you mix the audio from your gixxer and the chase bike? I love how effortless your gixxer sounds verse the chase bike being rung out.
I did! I'm not sure if his bike is a 600 or 750, but you can definitely hear how understressed a 1000 is at the same speed.

U just put the sticker of the suzuki in the fromt, can’t see the flow
