Rather than buy target stands, we construct them with one-inch pvc pipe and tees. Put the cut pieces of pipe together with the tees like tinker toys, tap them together with a hammer without gluing, build whatever target stand you want. If you tap it tight enough, it won't come apart on its own. It doesn't take much to hold together. To disassemble, simply taps the pieces apart again. Store away however you like.
For base, assemble two feet to set flat on the ground. Each foot is constructed of two two-foot pieces of pipe stuck together with a tee, with the perpendicular of the tee sticking up.
From the upward-pointing perpendicular tee from each foot, build upwards using pipe sections cut to length of your choice and tees to add cross pieces for support as needed, usually resulting in two rectangles with one on top of the other. Can't really draw it here, but will try:
    ________
    |_____|
    \|____\|
    \ \
If needed in wind, set one or more weights on top of one or more of the foot pieces.
We attach a silhouette target to a piece of cardboard using small binder clips, poke a couple of holes at the top of the cardboard for tie line, and hang it from the top cross piece. Change out the target as needed on the cardboard without changing out the cardboard. You could probably hang a gong from one. Haven't tried that yet.

    Good info as always Mickey!
The key to the ammo shortage is to buy when there is no ammo shortage 😊. I've been stockpiling ammo since 2016 as I learned my lesson from the last shortage about 7 years ago. But I could still only shoot once a week for a couple years until I would run out hence the reason I currently replace whatever I shoot. Definitely doing less mag dumps during "Plan-demic 2020👊👊👊🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

@@recklessrehab2171 9mm around Clearwater Florida can be found for about $22, which is still more than double of pre pandemic prices. Some pawn shops are selling 9mm 147g for $30 but 115g $20-$25.
556 is still crazy around $650-$700 per 1000, all my 556 I bought for $300 per 1000, so now my 6000 rounds went from $1800 to about $4200. Can't say selling some isn't tempting lol. I sold unwanted guns instead and doubled my money on about 8 guns. Mostly pump shotguns and a Draco.

Would it be possible to see a companion piece for indoor range training where we can maximize these same things in an environment that doesn’t allow us to draw from holster while we train? Go to your counties online ccw application, get a appointment and bring your paperwork you get from the class and letters to a sheriff office. Then wait.. keep in mind you still can get denied a CCW doing all those things.. unfortunately..

At 5:00, you talk about having medical equipment. Speaking as as expert in emergency medicine, I dont disagree. But you should ALWAYS have medical gear available, everywhere. . A pet peeve of mine is when people make guns on a range sound like they are a cause of much injury. They ARE NOT. This is a narrative of the anti gun crowd. Shooting sports have LESS injuries than most any other sport. Driving your car to the range is much more hazardous. So are school sports. The gun range is one of the LAST places you will need medical gear. In over 30 years as a Paramedic/RN, working on a helicopter as well as ER and ICU, I have only had a couple unintentional gun injuries, and zero at a gun range. And the research proves that shooting sports are extremely safe. My point is, be prepared always. Don't make guns sound worse than they are.
