Clearly, protests are being used in a very negative way. If you have to express something go to twitter, youtube or write books. Don't create interruptions and chaos in the lives of others. Democracy is a system, whicg gives you chance to elect a government at a certain period on regular basis. Go and vote wisely, express your opinion but also respect people's mandate. If you won't respect the system and law created for overall public good, you will soon start losing your own credibility and it will not end well for your cause either.

American campuses were instrumental in reversing American policies on war in Vietnam in the 1960-70s. That’s how these campus protests work. Now that we have ‘Rightification’ of popular opinion doesn’t mean that the history of campus politics would change. There is powerful lobby wielding Jewish interests in the US- this is powerful than anything else in the US. The present police actions could be related to this. Shekhar Gupta better go to history of campus protests in the US in the mid 20th century, virtually changing foreign policy decisions.

@@pernemlong9363 student protests in the 1960s has a context. It’s was the broader evolution of new Left and counterculture movements in the West. This was when the US was assuming the role of the British in the latter’s preWW2 reign. By 1980s, the New Left and thr counter culture movement had declined, and students were engaged in their lives’ rat races. Currently, the Palestine war seems to be never ending - and people are loosing patience in their moral compasses. The present protests is by no means similar to anti-Vietnam war protests. The larger context is not there. However, one cannot completely dismiss student protests in the US campuses. They have a history.

But instead of accepting Israel they went to war against the newly born state resulting lose of land to Palestinians. The hamas terrorists are making the life of poor Palestinians hell if there was no hamas both could have coexisted happily remember we are all humans after al,l isn't it ? the difference of worshipping into an imaginary being is just trivia.

However there is really no need to "take position" on this issue. There is a war between two countries initiated by terro attack last year by one of those countries' government. This has nothing to do with anyone else except those countries. Only because of some religious ideologies this conflict is getting so much attention. If we magically change the religion of all people involved in this war then suddenly all the protests will also vanish.
