I really appreciate your cinematograph! You always do a great job with the outdoor filming and I know that has to be tough with snow and all the glare. ❤❤

Thank you Alicia, I so appreciate the positive feedback on the cinematography! I'm definitely a hot mess sometimes in "outdoor" pursuit of filming and adding the antics of Ruby into the mix makes for a fine kettle of fish ;).

What a lovely adventure! Beautiful all around.

Wow the footage at the beginning was just magical, I so enjoyed seeing the landscape. Love the materials you picked out for the quilt, they just blend beautifully, so looking forward to your progress
You are so easy to listen to and sooooo inspirational ❤

I couldn't watch this until about a week later, but that made savoring it today all the more delightful! The hand quilting is relaxing, indeed. I have only made one large quilt - a million years ago - a "lap quilt." That is, each section was done with a hoop in my lap. I used the same watercolor pen to mark the design. I really enjoyed that process and now love living vicariously through watching you. Thank you.
Happy Spring! (We still have snow in MN!)

This is all SO beautiful! Your videos are something I look forward to very much! I use a FRIXION marking pen to quilt..The lines dissapear instantly with a pass of a hot iron! I never found anything that I love as much as these pens for marking a quilt..Your handquilting is gorgeous! This quilt will be amazing!

This girl had goosebumps right from the opening scene! Planes, snowmobiles, coffee, knitting, all the coziness my heart loves. Thank you for taking us on your adventure to that beautiful cabin in the woods, and making these wonderful episodes.

As always, your outdoor footage, and choice of color combinations is beautiful Sarah! Love your work! I am happy we are so well into Spring after seeing all your snow and ice! Haha! Great book suggestions too... I will have to get the scandi pattern book since I want to make another sweater but not with antler heads as are in the motif. Great to see your podcasts as always. Love them!

Sarah, you should check out Elizabeth Dougherty's book. She does wonderful set in sleeves whereby she picks up stitches at the top of the sleeves and uses short rows to create the sleeve cap. then she continues picking up stitches along the armhole to create the rest of the sleeve

Your ideas and thoughts behind re-engineering and/or working out a template sweater in order to add different elements was insightful and echoed my own desire to do the same. I have not knit many sweaters mostly because I worry that I don’t know enough about what I’m doing. I’m not happy to just follow the pattern, but prefer to understand. I also bought Ann Budd’s book for that same reason - about 3yrs ago 😊. My anxiety over doing one has made me procrastinate on actually starting it. What I’m trying to say, somewhat longwindedly, is Thank you! for talking about this and your process on how you are going about it, as it is nice to hear I’m not alone and I look forward to seeing what you make! Beautiful video, as as always. Take care

I'm glad you'd found some value here! I find getting started on a "re-engineered" project can be daunting when you have to rework the numbers and gather different references. You're not alone!

I did love what you said about being connected to the past. The older I get, the more connected I feel to those I didn't even know. Holy ground. Thank you.

Good morning Sarah! Oh, I miss Emily's podcasts ❤ I was thinking the other day about how lucky I was to have found you and Fiber Trek so early in my "online" wool journey, and the friends and acquaintances and connections that have been made because of that. So I thank you! And hope you have a good week

Your night sky shots are so amazing! We have had so much cloud cover here lately I can only get little glimpses of the stars. Recently splurged on the Kalevala and have been deep down the rabbit hole reading more about their myths and legends. Now to try and decide what to knit first….this is one of the only books I can say I want one of each 😊

I bought The Knitted Kalevala and I love all the designs. I am knitting the Pohjolan neito sweater. Another sweater is Scafell by Marie Wallin a Nordic inspired design in bulky wt. yarn. I hope to get both of these sweaters done before the cold weather returns again. I always enjoy your podcast and the different crafts that you like to share with us.
