Want to evade some taxes? Well, guess what, if you’re given a free HAI t-shirt, which has (a very limited amount) of value, it qualifies as a gift and therefore you don’t have to pay taxes on it! Then you can just go sell it and then bam, free money. (My lawyer asked me to include a message saying that this is not legal advice, is not true, and that you should never take advice, legal or otherwise, from me.)
How do you get a free HAI t-shirt? Glad you asked. Just submit a topic suggestion for HAI here and then, if we use it, you’ll get that free t-shirt shipped to wherever you are: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfUdlvw6YgU44J8AnM2U_ZvRMyvh_CUM51LYSqF5nYJB9d1-w/viewform?usp=sf_link

Congressmen face re-election every two years, versus Senators who face re-election every 6 years. So I actually wrote my undergrad thesis on this sort of thing. There's one other EXTREMELY important thing that Delaware has. We have the Court of Chancery, which I believe is the only court in the country that actually specializes in (and strictly deals with) business issues. The Court of Chancery has developed a reputation for extremely fast trials and tends to be more favorable towards businesses. It's not just the tax laws that help.
Also, fun fact, there are TONS of "incorporation services" businesses around the state. I know there's Corporation Service Company (Wilmington), Incorporating Services Ltd (Dover/Camden), and Harvard Business Services (Lewes). I've definitely seen others but can't think of them right now.

As the western territory won, they wanted to appear first in directories to show their superiority and thus gained the name East Dakota in the treaty. Technically this wasn't a violation of the treaty, and neither side was prepared for continued conflict, so it was let slide.

My home state of Washington is getting to be pretty tough to live in (retarded government, high taxes, sky high property values, skyrocketing homeless populations, etc.) but i did love the landscape. There's a ton of variety with the peninsula having a literal rainforest that gets over 200in of rainfall a year, the rest of the western half is a mix of valleys, hills, mountains, and forest, then the center of the state is the Cascade mountains, the eastern side of the mountains are mostly scrub lands and then the Eastern part of the state is desert and in the Tri-Cities area it gets pretty hot and dry, more like Southern California.
I know of a flat area that due to a rain shadow, in a 20 mile stretch of road you can get 120in of rain a year and its cold, then without crossing any hills or mountains you get to an area that's temperate year round and gets 20in or less rain each year, all just on one 20 mile stretch of highway. They refer to that area as the "banana belt".

Watching this from Delaware :) The tax law is not the ONLY thing that brings companies. Our court system is also well known for being VERY well versed in extremely complex corporate law / contract disputes, which it kind of has to be considering how many companies are legally based here. This is similar to how a very disproportionate amount of patent lawsuits are handled by a single court in Texas. And, for those that don't know, we also have a trick to attract out of state shoppers - we don't have any sales tax. Only 5 states are free of sales tax and none of the others border us, so it attracts a lot of people looking to make large, tax-free purchases. It's kind of nice to be able to buy something and have it actually cost the price on the shelf.

This reminds me of the "P. O. Box" services those of us outside the U.S. use to ship our merchandise to our home countries. We apparently have an address to a "suite" in Doral FL. to which we send everything we buy from American stores and sites. We pay a fee way more reasonable than international shipping, and we actually get to have access to those who don't ship abroad.
In reality it is just a small building there fetching our stuff for it to be shipped home LMAO

This is how Amazon, Facebook, Google, Apple etc do it in Europe. Amazon Germany pays almost all its revenues to Amazon Luxemburg for using the trademark. From Luxemburg the money then is transferred to the Netherlands where they save on another tax (forgot which it was), and then it’s sent to Ireland.
These corporations contribute merely 0.005 % in taxes to the German state. That’s 50 bucks of every million they make.
