    Been eyeing this Richmeters RM113D for days as my first DMM. Functions, design and build quality is good enough for my needs for a cheap price. I'm just a simple DIY guy who loves doing and building things on my own. I ain't pro with electricals but know some of the basics (and from experience) and curious to learn more 😁
    Thankfully i stumbled on your channel. Your in-depth review is on point and the teardown is my favorite part. You exposing the insides really sold me out. Keep up the good work. Cheers from the Philippines!

    Watching this video for a tenth time 😁 It surprises me that it has 22k views, it might me be your most watched video!
    This DMM is a real gem. I have it placed(thanks to the magnet) on the side of my PC tower and it's always available for anything! I believe it's one of the most useful features that one dmm must have! After that it's hard to find a new one to replace it 😁
    p.s. I like this intro!

    Just ordered the NJTY version(exactly the same) from Walmart for $16 with FREE SHIPPING. Looks like I’m getting a decent meter especially for the price! I mainly got it because it has a capacitor tester that goes a lot higher than the one I have now which only goes to 20uf ! Hopefully it lasts at least a year. It’ll be worth the price even for that long. Maybe stick shielding tape on the inside? This one is a LOT better than the one I have which was $10 more at Harbor Freight!

      Hi Derek, Many Thanks, glad you're enjoying the videos.
      It's a rather adverse condition this "MULTIMETERITIS" ! Unfortunately there's "no" cure! At least, that's what I'm hoping.. ;)
      As long as they keep churning them out I'll be doing reviews on them.
      It does seem like there's a-lot of interest in these low priced worker bees so it's a bit of a challenge to keep up! Cheers!

    I got this multimeter yesterday.
    I can't imagine how to spend $14 better. This review helped me choose.
    I would pay more just for capacitance tester like this little beast has. (100 000 uF!)
    My came with a little better probes, but anyway they needs more decent replacement.

    The NJTY T21D seems to be the exact same meter for as low as about $13 on ebay at that price for a rubber cased rugged "beater meter" it is hard to beat with 6000 counts and the best sensitive continuity set up both with light & buzzer. Upgrade the test leads and you will have one hell of general household meter for low energy work away from the main breaker box. I have no idea what NJTY stands for but leave it to the Chinese to obfuscate who actually makes their meters.

That's why I'm looking it on internet. I'm surprised the capacitance measurement up to 99mf. I have bunch of cheap dmms, they usually only 200uf, 4mf or 10mf. Even the people favorites aneng 8009 only handle up to 10mf.

    Extra connectors above the fuses will be to fit longer (1000v) fuses, 20mm fuses are only rated to 250v, they really should have a marking on the front panel to indicate that the current ranges should only be used on up to 250v circuits for safety.

      The shipping times from Asia can be daunting at best. I've only found a couple of sellers that expedite to North America but it's a rare exception. Typical wait times of 1+ month for my neck of the woods is not uncommon. I imagine Ireland is much the same, hang in there! ;)

    Hi. What is input impedance to this device?

    • @KeepOnTesting
      @KeepOnTesting  Před 5 lety +2

      Good question, The RM113D has 11MΩ (Megaohms) of input impedance. I measured it with a Metrahit 2+. That's on par with more expensive multimeters.

      @@KeepOnTesting Thank you so much. It has same input impedance of unit ut139c. Which one do you recommend RM113D or Winapex Et series ?

    • @KeepOnTesting
      @KeepOnTesting  Před 5 lety

      They are both really good meters but I use the WinAPEX ET8101 almost every day alongside my other meters. You cant go wrong with either in my opinion. The customisable backlight and high capacitance range sold me on the WinAPEX.

      @@KeepOnTesting But as i see in your video, the RM113D measurement accuracy is better. Is not it?

    • @KeepOnTesting
      @KeepOnTesting  Před 5 lety

      Yes I found the RM113D a tad more accurate even though they both use the same EEPROM that stores the configuration information for the main microcontroller. (DTM0660 multimeter IC) at the end of the day it really comes down to personal preference ;)

      Yes it has an auto off feature, approx 15 min then it turns iff, this can be disabled by holding down on the select button when rurning the meter on.

      CHEAP-O MULTIMETERS are extremely popular my friend. I do review more expensive meters from time to time though.
