Admire and love you to bits Niese! No matter how many times you come on, I missed you when you were not on. You are wise beyond your years. Add on your bravery, your kind and sensitive soul with all your talents that you have shown and talents you haven’t shown yet, plus the gentle, loving but firm, understanding parent and beautiful woman that you are - I feel it is an honour and a special gift to get to know you. I’ve talked to you only a couple of times about my young grandson. I have learned so much from you and hope to learn more. With learning, comes understanding and being able to give much needed support in many ways. There are so many aspects - just like you have said. It’s not only dealing with whatever level of Autism, it’s also ADHD, OCD, APD, etc. Teeth issues, Anxieties, Depression, Food issues, Immune system functioning or not, Social Difficulties, Verbal skills Needing Support, many levels of Sensory Processing, Inflammation in the brain and other organs can affect all of the above, levels of Pans or Panda and so much more!
Unless a person is experiencing any of these issues themselves, or a family member or friend diagnosed or not, being helped or not - majority of the human race has little knowledge, understanding, empathy, etc. I appreciate you Niese sooo much! Sorry for being so wordy but you struck a cord in me this evening. Lol. I normally lurk, listen and learn. I did listen to Claire at Woodshed Theory. Such a sweetheart, she loves yarn, crochet, and bunnies!! I have Subscribed to her Channel and eager to see where her journey takes me. Thank you Niese!🤗🥰🌹

i love the way you put that - the mind and the body not connecting. i have been learning a little more about PDA in autism and that seems to explain some of it for me. the paralysis is terrible. i am really good at getting things done if i am in the process of doing but it takes a while to get there.

Was so nice to hear from you and more about you. I can relate in so many ways. When I came to the realization that it's me and my channel and I do what I want to please God and myself, it was easier. I can only do so much. Love and blessings.💖🏵️🌸

Thank you for sharing. I still can’t get in front of a camera comfortably. Just do what’s comfortable for you. I do the grocery shopping once a week or I would never leave my home.

Thank you for this video. You would not believe how similar I feel we are. Yes I know all autistics are different but I can sure relate to you. Any social event wipes me out for days afterwards. We had an estate meeting last week and I felt awful for two days after it. I was not comfortable in the room and don't usually go to them. I won't be going again. Others just don't see my insides and think I can do anything. Stress hits my fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, as well as wanting to just shut myself away. I do what I can. There is no way I could do a live video, I can't even watch them 😁 gentle hugs from me to you. 🥰

I do premier videos, they are like Live Videos but you are not live, however you are in the live chat... and even that wears me out, but not near as much. Many do not see what we struggle with, a lot of our Autism is inside us, hidden away. After a social event I definitely shut down for a couple of days. Lives were so hard on me that I finally made an announcement that I just couldn't do them on a regular basis anymore. It was just to much on me and that's okay. I think recognize our limitations is healthy and people can accept it or not. I look forward to seeing more of your videos. =)

@@FreehandlyMadeAuCrochet for me it seems that only my hubby sort of knows what I go through, and is very good. The family and friends don't really have a clue. Thank goodness for people like you for me to communicate with and that do understand. 🌺💕

U just explained how exactly how I feel!!! It’s like my brain and body don’t communicate or not connected…and you can’t explain it to anyone else because they don’t understand!!! I think we need to talk more…♥️

You sound like you're describing me in many ways although I have never been tested for it please I don't remember unless it was done when I was a kid. When I was in school I was diagnosed with a learning disability but they never told me what it really was.

How do u get a dr to test u for autism….because I am older they don’t want to test me? I am really struggling getting a dr to test me for autism….because my girls have it and I truly feel I am on the spectrum too. Do u have any suggestions???

    • @FreehandlyMadeAuCrochet

Your situation is more difficult because you are a veteran, you have to go through the VA if you want the testing to be covered. So the only way around that is to pay out of pocket and you have to be assessed by a Psychologist or Mental Health Certified Clinician. The bigger questions is what will you do with the diagnosis, what purpose will it serve in your life. You don't "Need" a diagnosis to know you are Autistic. A regular Doctor cannot diagnosis you for Autism because it falls under the Mental Health system and not "medical".
