  • The 2024 College Football season marks the inaugural showing of the 12-team College Football Playoff. The 2024-2025 College Football Playoff will be complicated for sure. The four highest-ranked conference champions will automatically receive first-round bye weeks. In contrast, the fifth highest-ranked conference champion will get an automatic bid ranging from the five to 12 seed. In the first round, seeds No.5, No.6, No.7, and No.8 will host seeds No.12, No.11, No.10, and No.9 respectively; The winner of those games advance to play the four highest-ranked conference champions. From there, the playoff will function similarly to the four-team model. My predictions for this year's College Football Playoff are vast, as I have No.11 seed Oregon Football making a Cinderella story run and No.1 seed and SEC Champion Georgia Football winning the National Championship. On top of those, I also have Michigan Football as my No.2 seed and Big Ten Champion, Florida State Football as my No.3 seed and ACC Champion, and Utah Football as my No.4 seed and Big 12 Champion. Other teams to make the CFP are Liberty Football, Texas Football, Missouri Football, Notre Dame Football, Penn State Football, Alabama Football, and Ohio State Football. Make sure to comment so I can interact with you and answer any questions you have!

    What bowl games do you project each team to go to? The four quarterfinals this season are the Rose, Fiesta, Sugar, and Peach Bowls. The semis are the Orange and Cotton Bowls. Well, if you have Georgia at #1, you’d think the Bulldogs would choose to play in the Peach Bowl in their home state. Michigan likely would want to save their fans money in case they advance to the semis, so they likely would go to the Sugar Bowl. Florida State likely would go to the Fiesta Bowl, and that would then put Utah in the Rose Bowl. Creating in your projections a Georgia-UND Peach Bowl, a Michigan-PSU Sugar Bowl, a Florida State-Oregon Fiesta Bowl, and a Utah-Ohio State Rose Bowl (a rematch of the 2022 Rose Bowl). The semifinals would prolly be Georgia-OSU in the Orange and Michigan-Oregon in the Cotton.

  • @RyanDaysBeard
    @RyanDaysBeard Před 2 měsíci +6

    Ohhh no no no... You don't lose that many coaches and that many players and win a conference. Michigan will take a step back this year. They will take losses to Ohio State, Oregon and Texas. I'm not sure they even make the playoff let alone win The Big ten. Oregon or Ohio State will win the big 10.

    You forget that Utah LOST CAM RISING TO INJURY IN THAT GAME. Utah’s ENTIRE SECONDARY also was absent in that game, which lead to the insane games by C.J. Stroud and Jaxon Smith Njigba. Even with all of that, Ohio State needed a game winning drive and a game winning field goal at the end to win 48-45. Utah is going to be INSANELY talented on offense and defense this season. Don’t go back to some game 3 seasons ago as your benchmark for what will happen THIS YEAR. Seems a bit lazy to me. You have no idea how good either team is going to be.

      @GBU61 Před 25 dny

      The thing that no one seems to recognize is both Texas and Oregon will be facing better defenses and more of them by joining their new conference. This has not been taken into account as it should. It is one thing how a team looks but by November we could see unexpected injuries and teams getting beaten up.

  • @matthewcastleton2263
    @matthewcastleton2263 Před 4 hodinami +1

    All winning one of the P4’s is going to get you is an automatic berth to an NY6 bowl game. Those aren’t home games and I disagree that they shouldn’t get that. Otherwise, what’s the point going forward of conference championship games if winning one means you have to play like a week out so later in a first round game?

    Utah is a solid pick to win the Big 12 and earn a bye, but I think K-State has a really special player in Avery Johnson. His performance against NC State was impressive. Keep an eye on that team because I think they could make some noise in the postseason.
    Wouldn’t count Oklahoma State out of a bid, either. Mike Gundy has a habit of churning out solid seasons with some pretty unremarkable players.

    Just a note on the 2022 Rose Bowl between Utah and OSU, Utah did not have more of their starters than OSU. Utah's secondary was decimated, they had an RB playing corner, Cam Rising went out with injury in the second half and their best D-lineman was playing with a broken rib. OSU had more of their production guys than Utah. Even with that legendary performance by N'Jigba and Stroud, they only won by 3 points on a game winning field goal. OSU still probably wins that playoff game but Utah would make it closer than most would imagine.

Penn state is talented enough to win the Natty and the coordinators to. It comes down to Franklin. I love my Lions but I am reaching an area of concern with Franklin. I know we will never fire him. • @MattBuild4
      @MattBuild4 Před 2 měsíci

      Oregon State and Washington State have a schedule alliance with the MWC. They may try to poach the MWC teams in the future, but the MWC arguably now has more stability than the PAC and ACC. Their media contracts dont end until 2025, and a lot of the MWC teams have a hate relationship with the PAC in general. Unless the PAC can somehow garuntee like a 3-5 increase on media deals long term Im not sure those teams join the PAC2 (especially considering even with how weak the PAC is they still are trying power moves on the MWC).
      For this next season I really dont see OSU or WSU winning more than 8 games. They are gonna go positive in records vs the MWC, but they play the hardest teams in the MWC all on the road, which even at a neutral or home site it wouldnt be easy to play the best of the MWC. I think Fresno State and Wyoming both sweep the PAC, Boise State, UNLV and Air Force Split them, and SDSU takes out WSU in a surprise.
      it will be an interesting year to see if the PAC has better records than the MWC champ. I dont think they survive the MWC conference record, but a lot of MWC teams play (yet again) ridiculous OOC schedules.
      If by some miracle a MWC team actually goes undefeated they are undeniably the G5 seed, and they really should be like a 6th seed at worst. That conference has OOC road games against Michigan, Oregon, Texas, Wisconsin, NC State, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Iowa, UNC, Louisville, UCLA, USC, Washington, and KState.

    Wow, I knew you were a Michigan fan Sam but you really shouldn’t bet on Michigan. Save your money, Michigan will lose 2 games at minimum. Putting Michigan in the top 4 might be the craziest pick you have ever made. Alabama at least returns a QB Michigan does none of that and lost more coaches and still has the investigation. It should be at best a similar mindset to Alabama but very very likely worse.
