I always liked versions of ares that are depicted as a coward, especially since he just represents the senseless parts pf war so it fits, plus hes always shown messing with hephaestus, my favorite god, so i appreciate when ares looks dumb

I had this idea of a Percy Jackson prequel series where a Son of Ares (the main character) is more relatable for a sense of loss & loyalty to faults than Ares is anywhere near likable. Thanks to the show (and if I'm allowed to write alongside Rick Riordan) i know what to make Ares say when they meet

They do in fact reference the golden net thing in the books. Obviously they don't go into detail, but Annabeth tells Percy that "He caught them together once. I mean, literally caught them, in a golden net, and invited all the gods to come amd laugh at them."

Wait, in the myth Ares try to be a good dad than of what his father (Zeus) should have been. So why does it show that he hates kids especially his own? In the myth it says that he even protects his daughter Alcippe from Poseidon’s son Halirrhothius, by killing him 💀.

I really love your content, but by the last few remarks it seems you haven’t actually read all of the books. Actually it seems maybe you only read the first one? Either way, if you haven’t I highly suggest you do before you continue on with this series, Rick Riordan did amazing things with that series not just because he brought the myths to life in a modern setting but because he gave so many people who needed representation and a voice, characters to look up to, especially at early ages, plus you’d find it fun. He’s covered all of the major mythologies so far, and delved deepest into Greek- Roman (currently there are 3 series in Greek-Roman) it’s something fun on your free time if you or anyone reading gets the chance

The thread of fate that the Fates cut in this episode was Luke's. But he doesn't die right away. Luke dies in the Last Olympian book
From what I know, the Trojan War was Homer's way of reclassifying the gods and godettes. Aphrodite, for example, was a goddess of love, beauty, and war since she was an implant goddess from the Phoneticians, originally being Ishtar. The Spartans worshipped her as a War Goddess. Ares was also highly respected in Sparta. Athena being shown she was better sounds like Homer revisionism. Same thing when Artemis went up against and was trounced by Hera showing her as weak while her brother Apollo, a later addition, was smarter by not fighting. Just some research I did. AND NEVER TRUST OVID'S METAMORPHOSIS! He was very anti-authoritarian so of course he would make all gods look evil.
4:19 well if people actually KNEW the Greek mythology they would know that the majority of people from abroad the Greece don't learn nor know the real Greek mythology, they know the Roman poet Ovid's version who made the Greek gods into monstrosities and weaklings which is the exact opposite of the original Greek mythology.
In other words they've learnt Ovid's fan fiction because Romans exiled him and our ancient Greeks denied him out of spite, world's oldest propaganda I'm guessing

Following the hot garbage into which Disney has turned Marvel, i didn’t expect much from this series. What a suprise. Disney needs to stay in this lane, and let others do comic book films. Not everyone needs to be a Disney Princess.
