The woman was vile. I can sympathize that she was a victim of hostile enemies, but when she decided to hold the baby hostage, she was innocent no more.
That defense of formerly being a victim in a war zone is so weak and irrelevant to kidnapping a child not her own.
Not entirely, war zone level PTSD can definitely change a person entirely. We cannot fathom it

She killed the wife and tried to kill him. She found another couple that was willing to pay MORE for the baby..
Law and order is the best 👌 serial for me 😢 🎉
I always hate when any lawyer defence to a murderer & that same lawyer puts a really bad pressure on a Witness any witnesses that could easily put a killer in prison & save the victims & would be victims.
Its all to win the case after all.

Can someone spoil me on the ending please?
I went to go watch the last 15 mins lol basically the surrogate is found guilty of the murder, but she put only her name on the birth certificate, so legally she is recognized as the sole parent in New York. It ends with the guilty verdict and the biological dad asking about what happens with his baby girl and the attorney telling him she doesn't know.

This episode seems thrown together, and poorly at that. Would it have been difficult to explain to the father that what she did and the status of the child, are TWO separate cases, in different courts? And in 2024, how does a prospective adoption parent NOT know how the legalities of adoption work? It made him look stupid, poked fun at the war in Ukraine by not doing it's severity justice, and continues the path of Nolan's white, male privileged. Wolf is stuffing these episodes and it's ruining the brand. Same type of issues at SVU as well...
