They were ok in the day. Lots of bikers had Reliants or Bond Bugs for winter use. No need to pass the car test, bike licence [even a provisional] was enough. Many bike shops sold reliants and bugs and took trade ins. Quaint Dinosaurs now sadly. I had a Regal, 2 robins and a Scimitar GTE [ok the last one does not count]
Ha ha.. I used to have a regal, and in the CB days my handle was indeed the "Plastic Pig"

so wish i could get hold of a invacar,a crying shame they were scrapped like that.theres a few left out there im sure.

Well done - I drove c.100,000 miles in a G Reliant Regal 21E-700 which could od 84 and an N Reliant Suprt Robin 700 which clould do.>90! I've moved on to a Mercedes Benz and Honda CB550-FII, but have fond memories.
There dangerous unstable old technology there really is no future for reliant Robin.
The UK laws have changed, new driver's can no longer drive three wheeler's on a bike license.

I thought Invacars, with only one seat and handlebars are not allowed on the motorway unlike Reliants. It will go 80mph if pushed.
Once had an 850 and it would do eighty easily.

They should bring Invacars back.That would solve the invalid problem overnight.There would suddenly be a Great Britain full of able bodied people.

The invacars are/where goverment property and all by now have now been recalled and or destroyed.
Wrong! Most were government property, but not all. Those that weren't can have their tax status changed to Historic and can be legally driven once insured.

I think that the first gen. of Robin was the coolest one. The 2. one is ugly.
