Since he gravitated towards pale, lithe blondes, I thought he’d be gaga over Diana. He looked appalled and said “she looks like a shop girl.” I didn’t agree with him until I saw side-by-side photos of GK in the gorgeous blue gown she’d worn in To Catch a Thief and Diana in a gown said to have been inspired by it. Both sport tans but GK looks like a goddess and Diana looks like a stork. Sorry but that’s the way I see it. Diana was a couturièr/e’s dream but their faces aren’t in the same league.

Prince Charming had Cinderella & Sleeping Beauty, so rt there makes their lives sad, plus living in a fish bowl. This is obviously a very outdated video, but there were some annoying mistakes that could easily have been avoided. Princess Stephanie of Monaco was born in 1965, and was 17, not 19, when the fatal crash occurred. Crown Princess Mary was born in 1972, not 1973. Letizia did not marry into the ‘Royal family of Asturias’ as there is no such family. She married Crown Prince Felipe of Spain, who then held the title Prince of Asturias, traditionally given to the heir to the Spanish throne, similar to the title Prince of Wales. Today, Felipe and Letizia are King and Queen of Spain, and their eldest daughter, Leonor, is Princess of Asturias.

there are a number of incorrect or misleading things in this documentary. like saying that Letizia Ortiz was married to "her high school literature teacher." Her first husband was *A* high school literature teacher, but was not *HER* teacher. Also, describing Roddy Llewellyn as "gardener" makes it sound like Princess Margaret was dating a member of her staff or something. Roddy Llewellyn, while an avid gardener, is also the son of a baronet.

I well remember when the wonderful Grace Kelly died and it was all the news that her daughter Stephanie was responsible because she was acting out at a bar! I mean she was only 19 but how does anyone get over that?

Princess Mary of Denmark is highly underrated and quite lovely. I only became aware of her about the royal fuck up of the British Foreign Office this month. I like her. She’s so elegant but slowly becoming a powerhouse as she’s learning to explore her boundaries for herself and the growing influence she holds.
Her kids are bratty as hell. I live in Denmark and she holds no influence. People don’t aspire to be like princess Mary here.

In reality the Princess Grace marriage was more of a business opportunity for the then Prince of Monoco. She was believed to be a tourist attraction for the munincipality which needed an influx of money at the time. Princess Grace's father who was expected to pay a dowery of (I forget now how many millions) was angry with the prince who had the audacity to remind him. Grace reportedly was unhappy to learn that so soon after the honey moon Raineir was bac with his mistress who was housed only a few miles from the palace. While the fantasy looks happy and charming, it is often not the happy fantasy it appears to be.
At first yes, but they fell in love. You won't stay for 26 years if there's no love,dear. At the year of her passing their marriage is still getting stronger. Her friends said the marriage was real, passionate loving and solid. Fyi there's no concrete evidence that prince rainier has a mistress. After princess passing he never remarry.
