god RDJ's acting is just so good. the emotions he shows translates really well even in his quiet moments. you can tell he was really affected by coulson's 'death', he's not even saying anything.
During the "believing in heroes" part I feel like he got up a little too soon.
Tony’s Character never got use to losing someone. You can see this as well with the first Iron man with Yinsen.
Chris did well too reacted like a soldier.
This scene shows us the effect GUILT has on Stark's psyche.
Whenever Tony's not talking, you know something's wrong.
And they really did become something more. An assassin found redemption, a father regained his family, a god found meaning, a monster found peace, a soldier found his happy ending, and a selfish man learned to be selfless.
Let me guess. Black Widow, Hawkeye, Thor, Hulk, Captain America, and Iron Man. The Avengers. Man, the MCU will never be the same without them.
Our original 6 🙂
"Happy ending", ay? 😏
And I'd say Steve Rogers, a soldier who knew nothing but war was finally able to live a normal life in peace.
@BullseyeBullsclaw OMG, seriously? I don't fucking worship Thor you dumbass
@BullseyeBullsclaw He's the God of Thunder!
The -protector- Avengers initiative

I thought the movie was pretty decent. Don’t get what all the hubbub is about.
How u do the line on the words???
“Sir...those cards weren’t in Coulson’s jacket. They were in his locker.”
Seth Segal “They needed the push.”
*Quinjet flies by with Iron Man*
They found him....
Get our communications back up, I want eyes on everything
Yes sir...
The Avengers still don’t know that lol
accurate...hoping they might find out in A4. Maybe Phil will help Hawkeye and Ant-Man (and Ghost Rider? please please please) reach the team
I doubt ghost rider will show up but i wish i wish so fucking badly he would
There was an idea. To bring together a group of remarkable actors. To show us the most epic 10 years on the big screen in cinematic history. To bring characters from book, to the big screen. So that we could break the box office records... that they never could.
Thank you marvel, for 10 amazing years.
And the best part about it; it's not over yet

Goddamnit.... Well, should I change it or just leave it?
Fuck it i'll change it.
"There was an idea...."
To bring together a group of remarkable people
To see if we become something more, to fight the battles...
In time, you will know what it's like to lose. To feel so desperately that you're right, but to lose all the same. Dread it, run from it. Destiny still arrives.
One does not consider fun when balancing the universe, but this..hehe.. puts a smile on my face
"Who the hell are you guys...?"
In retrospect, you can tell Fury is really laying it on thick here, trying to push every button he can -- staining Coulson's cards with blood, saying Coulson died for the Avengers and calling the initiative "an old-fashioned idea" within earshot of a man from the 1940s.
I bought into it for a couple of seconds, but when they cut to the look Maria Hill gave him, I thought, "Would I carry around an extremely rare collectible set of cards *uncovered* in my jacket pocket while on duty? I could have believed he had them on him in a protective case in case he bumped into Cap when he had a moment to sign them, maybe. But loose in his pocket?
If you were going to meet Joe Simon or Jack Kirby (when we were lucky enough to still have that opportunity) and you had a near-mint Captain America #1 you wanted them to sign, would you carry it around, uncovered, tucked in your jacket, hoping you'd bump into them? (Bear in mind, a near-mint copy of that comic, unsigned, sold for $915,000).
That was when I knew Nick Fury had deliberately dipped near-mint cards in Phil Coulson's blood -- which may be the single most evil thing we can verify he's done.
That’s really all nick does in these movies
It was a half truth though. Coulson really did truly believe in this gamble of the Avengers that would otherwise be considered completely ridiculous. Now whether Fury was ethical in doing what he did here is up to the viewer to determine.
Hill: "Coulson didn't have the cards in his pocket"
Fury: "...they needed the push..."
@@woodrobinbut he didn’t dip it in his blood. he was shot with them in his pocket bc he wanted Steve to sign them
“Well...it’s an old-fashioned notion...”
“With what’s been happening, and certain things that are about to come to light...maybe the world needs a little old-fashioned.”
You were right Phil. You were right.
Coulson was his support while Hill was his drive. Hill was not a yesman and pushed back every chance she got, and that kept him moving forward. Because his enemies weren't going to sit around and take his orders.
This scene hit different after you’ve seen Endgame 😔

Frfr
Nah not realy
When Tony heard 'Heroes', he rose.
Actually, I think he rose sooner than he was supposed to. Like, he was up before Fury finished the word.
Haahhahaa. Trigger word
I wonder if Tony was slightly pissed that fury seemed to be trying to use coulson's death to manipulate them.
@@ch4z_bucks maybe he was pissed that the strategy was working
@@mabszy Yhh, I think Tony realised it was working on Steve a lot. But it's difficult to fault a vet for taking a loss hard so I think that's why Tony seems to dislike fury for doing what he did.
There was an idea. Downey knows this. Called the MCU initiative. The idea was to bring together a group of remarkable people. See if they could become something more. See if they could work together when we needed them to. To make the movies and shows that we never could. Stan Lee died still believing in that idea. In heroes.

This was where the Avengers truly began, with it's two leaders.

There was an idea....
I need to rewatch the whole MCU cuz shit like this is all throughout and it’s amazing
Each year the time to binge the MCU gets longer. I made a pledge to stick with the MCU and watch every one at the theater up until the end of Infinity War. I stuck to it and figured I could rest, just checking out what came after on stream. Yeah...right. Wandavision got me back on my feet. I am so looking forward to Multiverse of Madness and Shang-Chi
The crazy thing about the MCU is that the new movies are better, but they also increase the quality of the old movies. Many of the Phase One and Two can be boring and uninteresting, but there are so many scenes and character moments that become more interesting and valuable in hindsight. Basically, the MCU is like wine. It only gets better with time.

Damn. Looking at it now with the *V For Vendetta* quote, V knew what he was talking about.
This kinda took me off guard, because I had no idea Phil meant so much to Tony. I mean, at the beginning of this movie, he didn't even want him to come in his tower.
Well, he was just being Tony. At the same time he was offering to lend Phil his personal jet so he could fly to another city to be with his ex-girlfriend.

Few days later: (To Loki)There's no version of this where you came up on top, because if we can't protect the earth, then you can be damn well sure, we'll avenge it.
When you think about it, that was Tony telling Loki exactly how he saw the Avengers. Not Fury's idea, but Tony's.
Tony was making it quite clear then and there that it didn't matter if Loki won the battle, because as long as one Avenger stood, they would destroy him. Not his army. Him. And Tony pretty much figured the one Avenger who would survive would be The Hulk.
Had to come back here to cleanse my pallet after Secret Invasion. What they did to Fury was a crime...

From this scene alone, they were showing us how the survivor's guilt is the worst fear for Tony. Coulson wasn't even a close friend of his. Admitedly, he got closer during Iron Man 2, but even his Shield colleagues were showing much more resignation. Cap, being a soldier, is accustomed to loss.
They were paving the way so that Tony's stubborness to create Ultron was more believable, I think.

Looking back it makes sense why Avengers 1 didnt have the team fighting together until the end..its because by focusing much of the film on each superhero and their gradual build up into a unit allowed for a solid foundation that would lead to the action packed sequels we got in infinity wars and Endgame.
0:34 I can’t take that line seriously anymore
Actually, you can, if you know what he's talking about. He isn't talking about his actual eye, he's saying he lost Coulson, his best spy. With that in mind, it still hits just as hard.
(Knowing Coulson is alive, on the other hand, does make it harder to take seriously.)
Stan Lee himself is proud of the universe that the MCU has brought to life....
This is so awesome!
Love them 3000
They are going to fight the most remarkable villain ever
This has a new meaning after the "AVENGERS ASSEMBLE" scene in Endgame
The only movie I’ve ever gone to the theaters to see more than once
“In heroes” …..goosebumps
