Good review. Looks like a nice machine. Left a very nice cut. After you get all that rain, you will have to take it out when damp and see how it mulches with just a little moisture. However, I guess you probably won't have to mow when it is wet too often.
Yes I really enjoy mine. I have no need for electric start but know others do. I see now the new designed super recyclers run Briggs engines exclusively.
i ended up ordering the one with the Honda engine....am partial to them plus i got it for 350 dollar off...regular price in Canada was 909.00 so got it for 559.00...lol cheers from Canada
Awesome. I seriously considered the one with the Honda. Went back and forth and my dealer had both. As I said the salesman kind of steered me toward the Toro branded engine. I don’t think you could go wrong with either one, but I’d stay away from the Briggs engine, the reviews aren’t great on it.
I’m going to buy the same mower. The engine is made by Loncin in China. They make motors for BMW motorcycles. Good engine from what I have read. I have a Toro snowblower with a Loncin engine and like it. Good quality.
Yes I have read nothing but good things about their engines. One forum I saw said they txp engine was essentially a clone of the Honda gxv series, which is their commercial grade engine. I think it will be a good engine!
Thanks!! The local Toro dealer has 3 stores around the area. When I talked to them at the end of May he said they had 12 of the 21385 and 11 of the 21382 between their 3 stores. When I actually bought it they were down to 6 or so of each then when they delivered it the next day the guy who delivered it said they’d sold out of them, the 21385 at least. So they went fast! I like it a lot. How do you like the Briggs?
@@kevinjames5116 So far so good with the Briggs, and hoping it stays that way a long while. I know there are lots of cases of surging and cutting out with these engines. Either way, these SRs at $500 are really a great value considering the build quality, materials, and mulching capability compared to pretty much everything else out there. Cast aluminum deck is solid and should last a really long time!
This is the model I want but it's no longer available in my area. Apparently it's discontinued? That's what local dealer is telling me. They only have the Briggs engine in stock and I keep reading about sputtering issues so not sure what to buy now. Anyway good video bud. Thanks!
That could very well be the case. I know toro still shows it on their website, but I did see a couple online sites said it was discontinued. I bought from the dealer to support them locally and because they had it, but if a local dealer doesn’t have it you could buy it online. I found it here at this site just a bit ago searching. shop.procorepower.com/toro-21-personal-pace-super-recycler-mower-21385/ Good luck.
I don’t really know the answer to that question sorry. My yard here in town is not hilly. It is a rear wheel drive mower and it’s pretty light, so I would think it would do well, but can’t say for sure.

Yes the grass didn’t have much moisture in it. I will have to see how it mulches when the grass gets more moisture.
Toro should with the same lawn mower option electric start. This lawn mower is excellent.1/21/2022

How’d you manage to find a 21385 this year? I couldn’t find one anywhere and ended up getting the 21386 instead. Nice machine - congrats!

Yes, very well!
