Another super humble vid man. Glad I subscribed. I might do that with my max. I live in Indiana so its cold as hell right now but my max still gets heat soaked pretty easily. Have a short ram air doesn't help. My battery is in the way and I don't feel like relocating it so im going to get a 350z front bumper vent and cut it into my front bumper to directly get air into my hot engine bay. I think that will help ALOT.

I'm going to reroute those lines to a dedicated little heat exchange with personal pump, I want to see if it helps with air temp. I also have the oem oil cooler/warmer I feel like doing the same to that.

@@JoeVazquez it did and i checked the oil and it still had it and it was not even dark still looked new. i think a pump was bad or not enough pressure to get oil flowing… but it’s at the dealership rn so the warranty company to look at to see if they will cover the cost of the new engine :/ if not i’m stuck with paying the car off plus a new engine

You can also completely remove the coolant hose and cap the ports at the coolant pipe ends. And cut off the ports at the throttle body.
Makes it a cleaner set up and easier to work around that area.

Engine heat soak will heat the TB also... the return line splice is a better option rather than valve cuz you will keep the system flowing as it needs to be. you should also recommend keeping an eye out for any air pockets one might induce making the changes to the system, so a good coolant bleeding is a good idea. and also there are other valve options that would use plastic instead of heavy plumbing

I didn’t bleed the air and it did fine! I replaced my radiator a bit ago after that and bled everything though :)

It won’t overheat your car at all! It’ll do the opposite and make your g/z run cooler from the throttle body!
What was the purpose of the coolant line in the first place? Couldn’t coolant go to your throttle body? Or does it basically not need coolant at all?

How much will a 03' G35 will be worth in two or three years when it becomes classic
Great question, hard to tell but as soon as the g37’s become cheaper, they’ll probably be the go to for people. There’s a lot of g35’s still so they’ll be around for a good minute, I had picked one up in 2016 for 4K with 110k, now it would probably be around 6-7k for same mileage

The dual throttle body vqs do have coolant running through them so yes its possible.

Kinda hard to tell you exactly when you should switch the valve but Yeah essentially once weather is cooling off, like winter for example
@@JoeVazquez arent colder air and coolant temps better at all times? Except maybe if you have to big of a water cooler and it takes forever to warm up. But nitrous just cools the engine allowing higher revs and combustion for more hp.
The reason the ports exist with coolant flowing is to warm up the throttle body so it doesn’t get stuck and work too hard! So if you’re in a cold climate, having coolant flowing is actually more beneficial for throttle body reliability!

Add haha, it makes your iat a lot lower and consistent making your air stay the same temperature as it’s coming in instead of getting heated!
