Big Kenny owes Scotty a big thank you for this free PR. Kenny got a whole mess of people that will check the show out now

Scotty thank you for helping us DIYers. You talk to us not down to us. Your insight and knowledge is priceless.
Nothing better then scotty bashing plastic engine covers lol

I removed mine several months ago , and they are still OFF. They hold the heat in the engine.
We should mail him ours as a joke. Everyday he gets engine covers. 🤣

He has another lake house 🏡. Haha, but yeah he has a net worth north of 14M and living it low key, still working

Haven't you seen his video "why rich people buy cheap cars and why poor people buy luxury cars" lol
Money isn’t everything
that’s how it is when you like what you do.
Scotty feels the same way I do about the Ugly Covers. I remember when engines were more like art pieces. When Ferrari would go through the effort to pain the valve covers red and give them a textured look. Now, most engines look like junk which is why they put those ugly covers on.
100% right they all are basically the same as any other model ! Except for the different covers the car companies don't do justice to the cars built using people's imagination and the ability to make unique choices.
Scotty the Man, the myth, the Legacy!
Thank you Scotty!
Make sure to inhale when you spray that cleaning agent.
I guarantee if you took that car to a dealer they’d replace the entire assembly and charge you an arm & a leg.
Crooks!
And then tell you that you need at least $5,000 in unrelated repairs.
i think they would just pretend they did...and THEN charge you an arm, leg and maybe even a kidney.
A dealer should always be your last choice.

“Magic knockers”??? Was waiting for a corner photo to show up with THAT statement!
Thats a uk term not american
who cares where the term or phrase came from. nobody owns copyrights to terminology or slang! fun fact- people that refer to being way out on the woods or country sometimes call it the 'boondocks' (atleast in the south) and the slang term boondocks actually came from the Tagalog word 'Bundok' which losely translates to hill, mountain, steep, far away, etc. :)
My car had gas varnish built up behind the butterfly so the throttling would stick, then give, causing intended jack rabbit starts. Scrubbed inside with carb cleaner soaked rag and the throttle was smooth as silk.
Looks like tornado weather there. I love that kind of weather.
What a breath of fresh air. Thank You Scotty
Scotty, that clicking in the dash is the blend door actuator. I figured you'd know that though. I've replaced about 6 of em in my 08 Impala.

Love watching your videos. I'm currently working on my car which is a 2004 Tuscani Redline GT V6. I came across this car in El Reno Oklahoma for $900. Anyways the car got hurt last year around August. No body damage or anything like that. Just have to replace dash, steering wheel and I just got new rims so that's off the bucket list of things things. I call the car Fearless. A tribute name to my late best friend and my moms passing (because I got the car just before she passed) NOW the niddy griddy. My car when she starts revs up a little over a 1000rpm sometimes 2000rpms. It takes me having to tap the gas pedal for it to drop. Since I'm from Tuttle Oklahoma we don't really get cold weather. When I go to start her up in the mornings. She fires off but putters just below 1000rpms then I have to slightly hold the gas pedal up to 1000rpms just to keep it from dying. Any ideas on this situation I'm dealing with? Now seeing this video I know now that I need to check my throttle body. I haven't checked sparks yet and I know that the car needs a new E-vap filtration system which will run me around $162-$200 give or take. But any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
Mr. Kilmer Just wanted to thank you for all your wonderful advises on vehicle maintenance ! 🙏🏻 God Bless You & keep up the Awesome videos!

@@scottykilmer I’ve been waiting for the armada video Scotty I have a 2008 armada LE 164252 miles it’s running good so far but a lot of stuff I replaced already, but I need your opinion on should I keep it or trade it in while it still has some value
@@mrmartin7131 I got a me a 2007 with 140,000+, she holds up pretty well for what she's been through, only had a few minor mechanical and cosmetic replacements. Great engine, nice transmission. As for value apart from durability/reliability, they depreciated fast and are thirstier than a 500 pound football player and might as well be considered one due to how big they're. To each his own I guess, I have always been curious to see one included in a video.
Awesome vid! My uncle still has a Nissan armada and it’s older than 2010 I’m definitely going to show him this video!
I love those things.
The titans are very similar too the armadas. I think they're a great truck. As long as you take care of it! They're known for axle problems but an after market breather fixed all of those problems for me!
Good basic mechanics. Nice video.
Like the Little Spritz "under the Hood" to clean the dust out. Nice touch Scotty! Love your Videos!
Had a 2021 Armada as a rental for work recently. The biggest $50,000+ POS I ever drove in my life. 💯
I recently found out the the ambient temperature air sensor on my '06 RAV4 is for a Lexus, after I replaced the sensor with the sensor specified for the 06 RAV4, the AC start working as its supposed to. sometimes, its the smallest thing that makes the biggest problems.
You really are so informative on all your videos
I had a 2005. Worst decision I ever made. Gas MPG sucked and it was a bear to work on
Love your content Scotty!
hello and thank you!
Highly technical terminology; “you don’t give a crap about that”.
Scottie can say anything he wants...he is still always loved.
On all my cars I throw the cheap plastic cover away because I do all my own repairs. Good video!
Thank you for the video
Mr Scotty you are a real genius
Scott i agree with you completely but do you ever consider a hard reset for the battery? It fixes a lot if things and starts over towards a real diagnosis. (Old BMW tech here. Yes I hate them too).
I love my 08' Armada👍think ima put some exhaust headers on it since the catalytic converters are setting a code😉
🤔👀i like the pro way you explain the issues, you're a pro,not easy to find💯
Thank you! God bless!
Yo Scotty, I have a 2006 Accord Coupe 2.4l 5spd. After buying it with 150k the AC generally goes warm on the passenger side first. The shop I bought it from did the first recharge for me, which was nice of them. It's been good so far.
Hello Scotty, love your videos. Love the humor. Can you point me in the direction to where I can get that IPAD type diagnostic computer? Thank you
When I watch scotty I feel like im learning new things

Scotty please we need a video about the transit connect 2013 , some tricks for the motor , thank you for all your great videos and all that valuable information that you share with us , best regards.
Scotty how often do I need to run my a/c compressor to keep the oil circulating and the seals lubricated. I had the entire system rebuilt to factory specs twice. It is a 1990 Geo Storm with 98k miles.
Every time I need to take my car to the mechanic I ask him to clean the throttle body. I also use Flashlube injection cleaner this makes a big difference to keeping the car running good.
hey scotty! i got a 2013 scion fr-s, 6 speed manual 91k miles. it idles as it should on cold start at about 1500 rpm for 45 seconds or so then goes down in rpm. but as soon as it hits 1100, it just cuts out and dies, u have to give it gas to keep it alive. what could be the issue? fuel system checks out and same with the mass airflow sensor data
That's a very good maintenance service and very simple.😀💰💰
I don't know how long you've had the intro but it's so cool.
Scotty check for loose spark plugs they will cause the idle too surge alot also.
Scotty you’re an absolute gem👍❤️😘
Nice one Scotty
Keeping crap from cylinder walls etc gotcha Scotty .
Scotty for President 👍🏻
Those beauty covers. I had to jump start a neighbor's Saab the other day. So much plastic I could not find a single good spot to connect the negative terminal. Seriously. Plus, it was dark and pouring with rain.
Or change your cabin filter...I just love scotty
Awesome mechanic
Scotty advice is Spanish Gold!
i learned when my 2003 gmc was idling so slow you could read the writing on the serpentine belt. no codes and nobody could give me a answer till i found a guy on you tube who had the same problem and fixed it.
Hey Scotty, I have a 2014 Ford Fiesta ST that produces a similar plastic knocking sound on startup... You didn't go over it in this video, but can you touch on that? Is it something that could be easily fixed?

Scotty I just bought my first car at 16 and have oil leaking into a cylinder and the shop said I need a new engine. Do you think it could be a valve cover gasket because it has a misfire in one cylinder where oil is getting
How often should you clean the throttle body? My vehicle is at 40k miles.
🤣 nissan's magic knockers!
"Some kind of electronic hoo-ha"
She’s doing the new Nissan commercials.
High idle on startup is normal for every car. The knocking is the HVAC door motors...titan/armadas are notorious for these failing
Worse on Ford, gmc & Chevy....
Beauty Covers are best used to decorate garages & man caves.
Of course. Men no need that crap.
All good stuff.
I wonder how many honest mechanics would do just that.
Very lil
Possibly mechanics that own they're own shop, never from a dealership mechanic
@@zacharypeery4082 Totally agree

So what is the best scanner to buy for the non mechanic considering price /capability?
Scotty love your show. I've got a 91 Chevy G20. The passenger power window does not operate. Is there away to put it up until temporarily?
Woah, I think the editor got carried away calling out Hoovie's Garage. In fairness, Tyler provides good entertainment, summaries of the failings of the hoopties he buys, and regularly gives money/ cars to those less fortunate.
Hey Scotty my Mazda tribute 2003 started making a beeping noise when I start it up but and beep 3 times it does 3 beeps 3 times no lights on the dashboard but car runs fine any advice on what it could be?
Good one Scotty, my Nissan revs right up when cold then settles down too, plus at under 1,300 rpm (reverse or parking) the throttle dangerously sticks. Ps, when stationary at an intersection I've recently noticed a slight (injector miss?) After adding quality injector cleaner a month ago it's still there, drives normally.

Hi Scotty what obd/ scanner do you use do you have a real good suggestion which one to buy
Scotty LOVES beauty covers. He’s gonna start selling Scotty brand beauty covers soon.
Here’s an interesting for one for you Scotty, I drive with cruise control on a lot on the highway in the problem I’m having is when it goes uphill it seems to lose vacuum because the air conditioning goes off or the vents close and then when I get back up there if I step on the gas or I increase the speed then the vents will open again so I’m believing it’s a vacuum problem I’ve checked all the hoses and they’re all good I’ve use my little vacuum gauge on them and I’ll get 15 pounds of a vacuum from the engine and that should be plenty but that’s the problem as I go upI heal I lose vacuum and the AC cuts out so what do you think is causing that problem?
0:22 I thought that was Scotty making that knocking sound ngl 😂
Hello Scotty, I hv a '04 Sienna with AC warm on drvr & rear but cold on passenger. Took it in, but shows full pressure. It's still doing it...any idea???
What do you think about opposed piston engines in cars?
Bought a 4 banger manual transmission S-10 with 159,173 miles on it in 2013.
Still my daily driver with 221,000 miles.
Scotty I am surprised you didn't mention that the throttle body should be unplugged before you stick your fingers in there. If you like your fingers that is.
Afternoon, Scotty!!
If I don't use A/C do i still need to change a/c Freon ?
Scotty!!!!

QUESTION, Where can I get a pad like that, Or is that a regular tablet with special software?
Hi been watching your channel on and off for a while brilliant some really good advice
I do have a question
I have a vauxhall mokka t.d.i
With 65000 on the clock
I do use redex twice a year will this product help my engine keep injectors clean
The mokka running really well only had to change the heater plug but I did replace them all

That knocking or tapping sound could be the blend door actuator.
