  • Today we will be reviewing a 1969 Ford F250 that is utilizing the chassis of a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. The swap is utilizing the full cab of the truck and taking patch panels from the crown vic for the brake master cylinder as well as the HVAC unit. Suspension is Viking coilers in the front and RideTech Coils, adjusters and shocks in the rear. Braking has been upgraded to Mustang GT500 rotors (13') and Corvette C5 calipers. Interior is push button start for a little flare in combination with full TMI interior and flaming river column. Enjoy

    Clean job congrats on a cool ride. On my 79 I just used the crown vic front suspension upgraded of course and a four link in the back upgraded of course. I beefed up the small block and added a top loader. I kept the body stock only with new black paint but I like your choices all the crazy wiring on new cars was not for me I like simple even keeping mine a long bed with all the trim. Oh yeah great choice on tires and wheels in that respect we were on the same page. Again excellent job may you get many years of enjoyment out her. Looking forward to the next one keep up the good work.

    • @FactoryFreshChannel
      @FactoryFreshChannel  Před 2 lety +2

      The HVAC portion didn't have to be precise, really just test fit where you want everything to hang under the dash. As for the brake booster/master that dictated where the brake peddle would be located in the cab. But overall not too difficult.

    You win the best build award! I subscribed to your channel. Do you know when the first crown Vic swap was done? 1 of any notoriety? I'm curious because people laughed at me around 2010. I suggested taking a 1956 crown Vic four-door and put it onto a police interceptor crown Vic frame. Now somebody else might have thought of this but I came to me as I was looking at this beautiful 55 or 56 crown Vic four door. The car was beautiful. The engine transmission had been sourced out for some other project years before. I did measurements on the wheelbase and other items of concern.

      @@FactoryFreshChannel somebody probably said that you ruined a good Ford pickup and maybe somebody else said you ruined a crown Vic. Sounds crazy but I do run into some people who like to crown vics and want to see them stay the way they are. Honestly it's the creation and the path to that point that makes the vehicle worth something. We all know that if it's a Chevy truck right now they bring in more money. But money aside when you start out with a better truck for this you have less patching in the product is better at the end. Man I've always despised Fox body mustangs. But if somebody has one and they're doing something with it and it's a car they want, I will encourage him to the Days end and beyond. It's all about keeping the hobby alive and find a new avenues to be creative.
