I was in a prison transport on the highway in indiana, the corrections officer merged into a semi going 75mph. The prison literally took us from the emergency room back to the facility...ex Rays was negative but my back and neck was terrible painful. I asked for an mri they refused and told me if i complained again they would give me more time in prison...exactly what they did,held me 90 days past my outdate after i did 10 years...I walked out of prison may 15 2022 straight to the hospital. Mri showed i needed cervical and lunbar fusions 3 level each. 3 epidurals and the 2 fusions. I have an attorney but...less then 1 million??? 100% Liability from highway police. My attorney demanded a jury trial i wanna tell my story but thats a low ceiling for what i been through! Can i get civil rights violations for this as well?? And isnt this very low offer??? By the way since i been home i been a huge fan of your knowledge ❤❤❤

I think because we see lawyers advertising big settlements all the time our expectations on a value of our case is the main thing that most people want to know maybe if some lawyers explain what all goes into a case value in the first meeting people will be more understanding there's information on case settlements everywhere but no info on how it got to that point thanks for all you do

Yes im finding very hard to get an answer from DeMayo law reguarding case value. I was t-boned on the driver side 6 months ago. Emergency room visit same day for neck pain. Did 6 weeks of physical therapy, they discharged me due to not improving past a point. Doctor said the pain and numbess was whiplash and prescribed muscle relaxer and said to wait it out. Waited, went back a month later, he repeated the same thing. Finally went to a new doctor(4 months after the accident) who did an MRI and found 5 bulging discs in my neck. Wait it out then received a neck muscle injection which helped although pain and numbness is now coming back after a month. $10,000 out of pocket with doctor requesting more physical therapy.
Attorney has all medical records, dates, knows policy limits and the other party admitted fault.
All this to say they still will NOT give me any indication of case value...

I wish I had stumbled upon your videos sooner, I was wondering the same topic that we discussed on this video that I thought the lack of communication between my lawyer and I it’s been a year since my car accident. I suffered herniated disc in my neck and my back. Also chipped tooth and few other injuries . I have a question if you don’t mind me asking, the accident was in Brookville, Long Island and my friend was driving his vehicle and I was the passenger. He was making a left turn on a green light and an incoming company car T-bones us , totally damaging the passenger side. Thank God I’m still alive to write this honestly. The curveball in the case is that my friend Insurence had left literally days prior to the accident. My idea is the guy who was driving was driving too fast, and was distracted to not see us possibly on his phone , to cause the accident . The guy who hit has State Farm insurance. How much does my friend insurance lapsing in that moment hinder my case or the amount that I am capable of receiving ? I appreciate any feedback you’re the man.

Sorry to hear that. So if the car you were in has no insurance you have to put liability on the other car and try to settle with them. Yes if the other car was speeding that can be one way to put more fault on them. If your friend made a left in front of that other guy that’s not so good as that would be a vehicle and traffic law violation but depending on the facts you can definitely still recover. Good luck

East Harlem is New York county or Manhattan. It’s not bad. Also if someone involved in the accident lives elsewhere like Bronx , Brooklyn , queens then a lawsuit can be filed where they live as well

Attourney, I have to go back to pt for a bit because my arm and spine is acting up and stiff hurts from implants. Carpal tunnel release Im going to wait on that one until my steroid pain injections are done. Do you think going back will hurt my case,? I think I may need this the rest of lifetime? Hi. No it won’t hurt your case. If anything it would help because it shows how serious and permanent the injury is
I think good lawyers will keep your expectations low so they can surprise you with a more positive outcome.
A lot of lawyers do that but I don’t think a good lawyer would do that bc essentially you’re lying to the client. Making them think their case is worth very little so when you obtain an average offer they think you got them a great result. I like to tell them to mid to high range right away and then go and beat that number by getting a truly exceptional result

I don’t ask how much is my case worth it’s not like buying something from grocery stores. I keep doing my treatment so my attorney will put bandages on my wound. So guys don’t worry about ur case worth. First you focus on ur injury and get rite treatment.😅😅😅

There is no typical amount for product liability. It’s all damages and case dependent. I would speak with your lawyer to see what they think
