Thank you!
@@TropicalPlantParty
I know what you’re going through Jeff. I’m in the same situation, which is why I watched your video so late this week.
Stay strong!
😺✌️
Also, vegetable oil removes both spray paint and labels. 😉
Ok. That music for the flying palm trees was perfect!
😆 had to keep it dramatic for their arrival 😆
Jeff, just a stranger sending prayers and hugs.❤
Thank you so much! 🙏 👐
Hi Jeff, Im not actually comment on videos, but you are one of the people whose vouce have calming effect on me. Your videos are like therapy for me. I will keep her in my prayers. I wish you best for you and your mother. ❤
Aww well thank you! I really appreciate you popping in to say hey and all the well wishes. Thank you so much!
I’m so sorry to hear about your mother. I went through that with my own mother who ultimately passed due to Alzheimer’s😢
There is nothing more important than family, so you take care of her first. We will always be here and will look forward to whatever videos you get around to filming.
Prayers of comfort to all🙏❤️
Well said 😊 thank you so much!
The flying palms look like angels that have come at the right time to help you keep your spirits up. Take all the time you need. We support you.
I totally agree! Thank you so much!
Prayers for your family as you support precious loved ones during this challenging and heartbreaking time
Is it weird that although where im at, the past week being 100°+ that i don't really consider it "summer" until Jeff's palm trees arrive? And with such a majestic return as well!! I love these montages!!! Thank you! Summer has arrived!
😄 🤣 I know what you mean, they came so late this year and the spring has been so long and mild that my season clock is totally off right now.
Not usually one to comment. But here goes. I always find so much comfort & joy in your videos - a sort of safe space. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing about your mother.
My mother also has early onset dementia. I see your point about keeping the focus on keeping things positive on the channel, but I wanted to share that you talking about this made me feel profoundly less alone. I needed that today. Take care❤
Well thank you! Makes me feel better knowing I'm helping out in some way. 😊 sorry to hear about your mother, it is a rough thing to go through on so many levels!
Cool seeing flying palm trees😂. Thank you
Always a pleasure!
Once you get a routine going things will seem more manageable, it’s not easy being a caretaker - but you’re home and you have the wonderful back yard for you and anyone else who needs some cheerful, calming plants and beautiful water to sit with. All will be ok. So many of us have been thru caretaking, we understand when videos are less etc. ..keep yourself well so you can help your Mom. Many warm hugs to you 🤗💐🪴🧸
Thank you so much! Helps to be hearing from so many people and how they can relate.
Jeff! Im so sorry you and your family are going through this. It's very wise to reach out for extra help. I'm glad you're looking into extra assistance. It's a lot to deal with as one person. And it's wonderful to have the love and support of some family nearby. I think the hardest thing can be accepting that we can't do everything and that it won't be perfect initially. There's a lot of learning along the way, but i know you to be a very intelligent, resilient and very kind human. Please take time for yourself and be kind to yourself. Take all the help you can get and know that all of us will be sending strength, energy and love in any way we can. I'm very serious. You are very loved! And if there's ever anything we can do to help you out, please do not hesitate to ask ❤
What a nice message. Thank you! I agree, gotta put fam first and take care of ourselves as well and let go of having an idea of what each day should be like.
So sorry to hear about your mom. Dementia is sad and difficult.....requires alot of love and patience. (My mother (94 yrs old), also has dementia.) 🙏🙏 for her, and for you and your family.
Thank you, Kathy! It is rough, but trying to appreciate the good days and learn how to be prepared for the bad days.
You're not being selfish, you're taking care of your mom! But seriously, I do caregiving too, my son is a special needs adult, and it's ok to have a happy place to go to, like your garden. You need that. This is a life style now, and you are only as good as you can take care of yourself to be a good care giver. So love your videos, and hope all the best for your mother and your whole family.
Thank you so much for that! Wonderful advice. 😊 learning a new routine and gaining A TON of patience! ... well, I'm trying to.
Family first always!! ❤❤❤. Remember to take care of yourself! 😊
Thank you!
OMG THE PALM TREES! and Everything is coming along beautifully. I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. I know it’s so rough. Thank goodness you have the garden to escape to. Take care. xo
Thank you, Chris! I know if anyone know what this is like, it's you. 🤗
So sorry about your Mum Jeff. My husband is going through the same thing with his Dad at the moment. Sending you all much love and blessings. On a high note your garden is looking beautiful but it always does every year. Take care of yourself. Xxx
Aww! I'm sorry to hear that about your husband's dad, dementia is heart breaking. Thank you!
Hi Jeff! I loved the long video! I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. I'm glad you shared that with us. Please always know that we care about you and want to hear what's going on in your life, even if it's not always good news. I do hope that you have other family members to help you out and give you a break, and please take care of yourself, too. As always, it was fun seeing the crane delivering the palms. The planters look awesome, as do the impatiens and other plants. Thank you so much for sharing!
Flying Trees! Awesome!
The best!
All the containers look beautiful, love all the color.❤
Thank you! Feeling like summer!
Sorry to hear about your mom. My wife & I had to oversee caregiving of our parents for several years before they deceased and my dad had dementia. Try to focus on making a plan and then doing the next thing. Prayers go out to you. Try to keep pressing on with your hobby of tropical gardening as it will be a good outlet for you to get your mind off things. Palms are looking good I love all your doing
Your parents were lucky to have you both! Thank you so much!
I am Glad that Your Palms are Doing so Well, Thank You once again for the Great Video. Keep up the Great Work.
Thank you!
Thank you Jeff. Your mom will be added to my prayer list. Be safe, stay healthy and we’ll see you next time. Happy Growing.
Thank you, Judy! I really appreciate that! Hope you're doing well and having a nice weekend!

Thank you, Cynthia! Always so kind 😊
I am so sorry your family is going through a difficult time.. take your time in posting, we will be waiting patiently.💚
So sorry about your mother jeff
Thank you!
As someone who occasionally caretakes for family when medical things go on, taking care of yourself is important. I didn’t set enough boundaries last year & when they were mostly functional before docs cleared them for work…it was…frustrating that they refused to help in things they were capable of. Your mom’s situation is different medically from what I dealt with last year, but needless to say the yard suffered, indoor plants suffered and I was stressed.
The yard still looks like trash, I’ve only started getting outside to pull weeds (physically couldn’t get outside much due to the amount of rain we’ve had), nothing is fertilized, I never got to plant seeds, indoor plants desperately need water & fertilizer, and I’m not in the mood for any of it. The only yard work getting done is mowing the grass as one can between showers & the yard being a swamp.
I think I’m finally relaxing as my mental load is allowing me to not get overwhelmed at trying new cooking recipes. (And I did pull about 4 buckets of weeds in 2 days…) But it’s time to do my dishes and think about trying a new cookie recipe…although I don’t really want to turn on the oven in this heat.
Love and hugs, Jeff! ❤
Thanks Chris! Been thinking bout ya, I hope you're doing ok!
Sending love and light for you and your family ❤
Thank you!
I totally understand how hard it is to see a parent go through a difficult time. Been there, done that. You bring joy to my day whenever you post a video. Thank you.
Thank you!
Must say I enjoyed the longer video and getting more insight on your thought process on plant arrangement
Bird of Paradise? Um no... That's a full blown "flock in a pot" if I ever saw it!~ I love the persian shield you have tucked in, I've been keeping one as a houseplant and so far so good. I had to laugh on the stickers on the pots I'm one of those people who's always peeling a UPC off a plant in the car so I get both sides. No worries on the sounds real life happens in everyones channels. Holy cow a crane brings wish palms from the sky you def. garden on a whole other level.
Hi Jeff, I'm so glad you told us about your mother. We all care about you and are here to listen to whatever you want to share. I also went through dementia with my mother, it was difficult but there were also some unexpected precious moments that occurred. Is that a wild black cherry tree? I have one about the same size that is a volunteer. It is a host plant for several butterflies and several birds like the little berries but it can be pretty messy. I always enjoy watching the palm trees come back, thanks for taking the time to film that!
I am so sorry about your mom Jeff. Sending hugs from Hungary ❤
......
But ehmmm, can we talk about the coconuts on the palm? 😮😅
Thank you!
😆 I know, I know, but I have to have a little tacky out here. 😆 🤣
Hang in there & stay strong for your mom. ❤ love your content as always.
Ive been thru something like that and had to let alot of things go
A lot of sacrifices for our loved ones
First of all, Jeff, sorry what you are going through. Sending prayers. But let's talk about your stunning garden! I am so jealous of all your palms! They all are beyond stunning. All I have is a pygmy date palm and a majesty palm. I just got a tropicana canna lilly bulb, and I can't wait for it to grow! It is pushing out its second leaf, which is still green. Is that normal? And OH MY GOSH, your bird of paradise js just unreal! Mine is small with only 2 leaves 😢, and I neglected it through winter. It's pushing out a nice new leaf now that I repotted it! I also have a musa basjoo, which I am in love with. It just pushed out a 22in leaf! It's so beautiful! I can't wait for it to grow pups so I can plant them all around my house!
All the best ❤
Thank you!
Your garden is spectacular i just had a pipe vine swallow tails laying eggs on my pipe vine plant 😀
I agree i have a green iguana, and they are very moody and definitely need lots of space. The males are very mean when it's mating season and the females can get egg bound its alot of work definitely need good high humidity and certain basking temps
(((((Jeff))))) please use the garden as your sanctuary and update us when you can. Think after your Mom has settled in you may find making videos your get away.
I pray for your mother
Thank you!
@@TropicalPlantParty np man hope she gets better
oh Jeff, I know the struggle of a parent going through sudden onset dementia. I wish I had some positive words, all I can say is do what you need to do to take care of her and do what you can otherwise.
Random question. What happened to that purple leaved plant you used to have in one of the planters over where the glider is? I don't remember the name of it because it has been a minute.
Thanks Michael! Hmmm... I am drawing a blank. The only purple plant I can think of would be the purple passion plants or strobilanthes. I had a purple-ish alocasia years ago, idk what the variety was called.
@@TropicalPlantParty I had to go back through garden tours to find it because it was driving me crazy. Pseuderanthemum.
Also, go back and look at your August garden tour from 5 years ago. Check out how small the Thai Constellation was. And you had the clamshell planted up with Cactu, which maybe you don't have the sun to do now but it really looked nice.
do you keep the pygmy over winter or does it get sent off as well?
I kept it indoors for a few years, then in the growspace for a few more, but now it goes to the greenhouse. Takes up too much room/cast too much shade on it's surroundings in the growspace now.
