Anybody out there studying when you don't have to, the genuine, curious people, I salute you. I took every free physics class I could find, I follow the study of the ancient stories, I'm romantic about life and I'm happy to have found this podcast.
I agree. I'd rather learn than do anything. I'm always trying to cram as much as possible into my brain lol.
This is also a great concept for parenting; as soon as you see any bit of curiosity, feed it. Both in yourself and in others.

Speaking on the loss of understanding in mystery technologies, we've lost the framework of reality that we used to have the enabled the understanding. We've lost the collective framework of mental and spiritual reality. And We've gone so far from it that it's like someone who was born blind comprehending sight or deaf hearing sound. The same way we cant comprehend how animals "see" with scent or with echolocation. I think the technology of the last 200 years is the driving force of our disconnection

I’m so giddy to have discovered this channel. So much of my work over the last 17 years has been focused on Jung’s and Campbell’s work. It’s why I transitioned from studying theology, hermeneutics, textual criticism, etc., to ANE religions and comparative religion (and incorporated philosophy and psychology). At the core, it was my passion for studying myth-making and meaning-making through a Perennialist lens, which Huxley beautifully illuminates in his writings.
The academic exercise and exploration affords one a wealth of knowledge, but as I came to discover, it didn’t provide the wisdom until many years later when I would essentially return “home” to previous studies and teachings having embarked on ancestral / wisdom traditions and initiatory practices that served to unfurl and expand the tapestry and the map by which I synthesized the information I accumulated overtime. But instead of approaching it from the perspective of linking data points and information chains, it was bubbling up and unraveling very ancient wisdom that I carried within, that the likes of Jung, Campbell and Huxley have urged seekers and explorers of the psyche to peel back, excavate, dive into, confront, absorb, and integrate these long forgotten parts. They provided the map and model Western explorers desperately needed.
The synchronicities that emerge from that wellspring of wisdom, through one’s own phenomenological experience, becomes a special kind of magick.
My deepest feelings of transpersonal magic and awe have come from sitting quietly and holding the idea that anything at all exists. It was something which came naturally to me early in life and it never disappoints. Nice to hear you two talking about similar experiences.

The idea of a MultiGenerational Temple or Project is pure Alchemical Gold. Many of us are familiar with the idea of a personal legacy. But how many imagine a kind of philosophy or way of life that is consciously added to like a long story. We are this Story of our Ancestors as DNA expression in amy case. I also think of Marvel/DCComics from early in this Century added to and expanded into multiple creative projects. This iscwhat I'm doing without having known it with my own artvand graphic novel idea. It also helps me to be ok with not finishing it in my life time, but keeping it open ended . . . .

I have this little theory I've been thinking about lately in regards to synchronicity. I think that the emotions you feel, literally affect the world around you. If a person is in a positive state of mind, you'll have better luck. New paths open up. Other people will immediately pick up on this, and feel at ease around you. The opposite happens in a negative state of mind. I've had doors open, only to shut immediately when I experience a bout of pessimism and depression.
Basically, so long as you have faith that things will turn out okay, they generally will. If you don't, then you won't get anywhere in life. And the universe will be screaming at you from every angle for you to get your act together.
Following synchronicities without your sense of self will def lead you into the pit of hell and despair. Keeping yourself grounded is important to not have a breakdown in awakening. Hard lessons learned here.

From listening to this episode I’ve come to the realization that Plato’s Republic is more than likely a description of the Magnum Opus (Great Work) that the Alchemists were seeking. I say this because when Eric was talking about how “Good Explanations” give you an Alchemical Power to transform your reality into what you want it to be, I realized that this was/is the same or at least a similar power that the alchemists were seeking on their spiritual quest for the “Philosopher’s Stone” which can transform your lead (what you don’t want such as depression or things that make life feel heavy and negative) into Alchemical Gold (Things and Energies in your Life that Resonate with your Authentic Self!)
One of the processes of Alchemy is called “Multiplication” in which the alchemical powder (which is of the same substance as the philosophers stone which we can also think of as good explanations) is multiplied in virtue, quantity, and potency. In fact “Multiplication” is the stage that crystallizes the philosophers stone which we can imagine as a bundle of many many Good Explanations threads that allow us to live in a Flow State where we operate in the most Ideal Way in All Areas of our Lives! The Magnum Opus, The Republic, Justice! The Alchemists also talked about the Harmonious Unification of Salt, Sulfur, and Mercury (The 3 main energies of the Psyche) which corresponds to Eros, Thumos, and Logos Respectively. In Chinese Medicine this Trinity equates to Jing, Chi/Qi, and Shen and correspond to the Lower (Sacral) Middle (Heart) and Upper (Third Eye) Chakras respectively. In my own Trinity I like to call this Creative Power, Love, and Wisdom. The Wisdom Guides the Love and Creative Power, the Love Channels the Creative Power and Wisdom, and the Creative Power Expands the Potency of the Wisdom and the Love.
Discovering and Integrating more and more good explanations (Creating the Powder of the Philosopher’s Stone and Crystallizing it to make it bigger and bigger) allows us to make our ariadne's thread thicker and thicker as well I believe which is why we will be able to experience the Ideal Flow State of the Good, the True, and the Beautiful in All Areas of our Lives which is again, the Magnum Opus, Justice, and the Republic.

I like where you’re going . Also three major steps to the alchemical transformation - black, white, red. Historically speaking, “alchemy” doesn’t come on to the scene for a long time after Plato (that we know of), but I think the underlying archetype may be related. 🙏
@@THIRDEYEDROPS fun fact: lots of the information about alchemy was sourced from greek texts along with the elusive Egyptian Hermes Trismegistus whom I’m pretty sure the Ancient Greeks like Plato were aware of. Also, I see the Alchemical Stages/Milestones as 4 and not 3: Nigredo, Albedo, Citrinatas, and Rubedo. If you closely study the Joseph Cambell’s version of the Hero’s Journey, and compare it to Alchemical Stages and processes, you will more than likely be able to see how the Hero begins in the Nigredo Stage through the Alchemical process of Calcination and ends (sometimes, but not always, depending on the story) in the Rubedo Stage.
At the end of the day all stories contain Alchemical processes and in fact are alchemical processes that increase or decrease the vibrational frequency/consciousness of the hero or material that is being worked with. Stories are also powerful at reprogramming the subconscious mind because the programming language or code of the subconscious mind is and has always been stories and symbols 👁️🌈☀️💎🌳🦋

The hologram analogy is great. I've been thinking of it in terms of fractals; Reality has a fractal nature. This means we can also find ourselves in a coherent reality that seems opposed to someone else's coherent reality. Different facets of the fractals, manifesting at different scales.

When thinking about the concept of Daimon, one important piece of art that comes to mind is a book of Herman Hesse - Demian. Before writing that book Hesse had a big personal crisis and was also a direct pacient of Carl Jung at that time. The story of the book describes the growth, development and individuation of the main character Emil Sinclair who was profoundly influenced by a mysterious, otherwordly school mate named Demian. Demian appeared in Sinclairs life later after they were no longer school mates at wildly synchronistic moments, leading him deeper and deeper into understanding the world and his place in it. And Sinclair always felt like Demians soul was somehow always present with him even after they parted their ways. Listening to this podcast made the connection between "Daimon" and "Demian" click for me. Thank you!

Yes, we are building a multigenerational temple in SCIENCE. The ideas you are talking about and much of the modern parlance and popularity of them come from an obscure researcher and writer I know who left graduate school in evolutionary psychology and behavioral neuroscience 20 years ago to write a book instead of a dissertation because he disagreed with basically everyone in the current paradigm. He researched synchronicity for a decade before that and integrated it into a theory based on the psychological features of the brain and the physical features of the world in reference to symbols and human perception of meaning. Also he met and became friends with Jordan Peterson back then before Dr Peterson was even famous. He cites his “maps of meaning”. I heard Jordan using his examples in his lectures online. The Interstellar movie was basically a story version of the basic idea. Anyway, it’s a hard slog through dense language but it’s absolutely amazing and I am shocked people are running around listening to these ideas piecemeal in Donald Hoffman and Bernardo Kastrup and etc etc and there it all is in that book 20 years ago which is not only relevant today, but STILL is way ahead of the times. It’s like reading and oracle. ❤ Just wanted to drop that info. Thank you so much for this video. 👍🏻
“The Textbook of the Universe: The Genetic Ascent to God” by Steven E Romer. It might take some looking… but you find this book, you will see literally everything in a new light. I am flabbergasted every time I see a video on synchronicity which doesn’t include or cite that book! 😮 Romer talks about the multigenerational project stuff in his book and says that now our cathedral is science -but in the Tielhard de Chardin sense. Wanted to add that, because it is a main focus of why I wanted to comment. Thanks 😊

I feel like the lack of a cathedral consciousness is directly contributing to all of the issues we currently see around us. Other cultures might describe it as thinking 7 generations into the past and 7 generations into the future.

IVE BEEN SAYING THIS OVER AND OVER ABOUT THE HIGHER SELF BEING INSIDE AND OUT OF YOU AT THE SAME TIME. I FOUND IT. It is what leads you to synchronicity and speaks to you through intuition. It loves you a lot. And has always been with you
And i interact with it. As directly as possible I think. DMT can take you to the same space that it lives in. Inside of you but separate from the body
I even have a video of me talking to it in a couple Dmt trips. I always record myself so I can watch it back later and try to bring more of the experience back in my memory.
I have found it in more than one place but the only place I can interact with it directly is with DMT. I knew what it was when I saw it. It doesn’t have a solid form but you will recognize it. It lives through you and also outside of you. It’s a bit obsessed with you tbh. It’s also so fucking lovely and honestly hilarious in how it shows up sometimes. It seemed shocked that I could see it and understood what it was. But it asked “is being aware of me going to cause a problem for you?” because I have a fear of sounding crazy if I talk about it and also the stigma of psychedelics in general.
But I felt that it guided me to finding the words to put the pieces together. Then also guided me to DMT hoping I’d figure it out.
Now I’m curious, I’ll have to look into that word “Daimon” because I’ve just been calling it my soul
Using Jungian active imagination exercises make massive differences when the manufactured environment offers, with a deceptive smirk, to open the door to madness. As per usual the right cool cast arrives at the right time.

I've heard a lot of people say we choose to come here and suffer, everything is one so everything is perfect, and to not spend sp much time frying to figure this whole thing out. Just like the guest i couldn't disagree more. If you don't want fine, but I'm pretty sure there's way more to all this than we see and I also think we exist before coming here, but since I have no memory of it i can't say for sure and i want to say for sure. I think that's the most important thing and it should take precedent over all else. "You're just here to learn it's ok. You need to know." I don't nuy that for one and for two if that's true give me back my memory and I'll continue to learn. If it's wrong than I'll be wrong, but something wants me to forget who i am and i don't like it.

Theoria Apophasis has some really cool videos on the pythagorean mysteries. Definitely relevant to the plato talk (if anyone wants to initiate themselves). First is engaging with their (pythagorean) world view, then either isolation and intense contemplation; or perhaps some chemical contemplation after thoroughly digesting the mysteries 😜.
