There was an update that cause fox stop picking up items. I saw someone reported this to Mojang and now we wait for another update.

Added this to my industrial district today; we'll see how it works out. Tried ilmango's compact farm and despite his fixes for escaping chickens, the farm still didnt work. So here's to praying this one will. 🙏
I tested this on both java and bedrock many times. Even in the newest version 1.20.2. It will work if you follow exactly how I move the fox into the farm.
So... I built an automatic farm combining aJack's cow farm butcher shop, his 3-in-1 animal farm and the old automatic chicken and lava farm technique. Now I gotta go back and replace the chicken mechanism with this, lol. I'd be more than happy to provide the litematica schematic if anyone wants it.

Thank you ! Farm is working well but there's a but. I'm on a server with friends, and the fox couldn't get pushed up by the cart, it was getting destroyed, and the fox was running away. I managed to put it in by putting the fox in the cart at the same height of the hole. Then it worked, except for this : the chickens get killed, but still not burnt (the fox has the fire aspect and looting sword). Do you have any idea of what I could have missed ?

It sounds like the chicken died of entity cramming instead of getting killed by fox.
@@aJackMinecraft Yes it now works well ! Indeed the chickens got killed at first by entity cramming, and now they're getting killed and burnt by the fox.
Still, I didn't mean that the cart got destroyed, but when it went up, it began to sway, freeing the fox.
@@dwin_tv Hmmm...the powered rail does that? Did you use activator rail instead of powered rail? 😂
@@aJackMinecraft Nope 😂 I had chickens near the fox, I'm thinking, maybe there's a litle frame when the cart goes up when it literally can jump off the cart
Does the endurance of the sword wear down like when the player uses it, and does it eventually need to be replaced? Or does it not matter when the fox is holding it?
According to the Wiki it does not wear down.
Hello, will it also work on Bedrock edition?
Weird i gave the fox a looting 3 flame aspect 2 sword and i got raw chicken.
Edit: even weirder now my fox seems to have stopped attacking the chickens. I was getting raw chicken despite having fire aspect 2 sword. i Assumed the fox was killing them in 1 hit, but maybe they're dying from something else cause it doesn't seem like the fox is doing much.

How do i make sure they spawn in the center of the slab...

eggs get stuck in some block and dont reach the chest, fox also doesn't attack chickens in 1.20.2
So as of 1.20.4 this farm doesn’t work?
I'm also having issues with this farm. The fox does not seem to attack the chickens. Playing on version 1.20.4
@@sasaboomn Change the orientation of the farm, it must be facing east to west so that the fox can kill the chickens
does 24 chicken do anything special over any other number? its that just the most optimal before entity craming?
On Java edition, only 24 mobs can stand on 1 block. If a 25th stands on the block. 1 mob will suffocate to death . Idk if it’s the same on bedrock
I just tried making this and wasn't able to get it to work. What are the glow berries for? My fox dropped the enchanted sword and picked up a berry instead
🤔 Really? I know fox do harvest glow berry but that didn't happen to me.
It's just to light up the farm. Feel free to remove it or change it to lantern.
@@aJackMinecraft I think I had just accidentally harvested the berry at some point and he grabbed it. I got the farm to work but after it produced about 60 cooked chicken the fox somehow grabbed a cooked chicken and the sword was gone, but I will try it again
Every time i try to get a fox to pick up a sword it doesn't work. The foxes have all been wild. I'm not sure if this is something foxes cannot do in multiplayer worlds or not.
Make sure to set MobGriefing True!
@@aJackMinecraft it is set to true in my world and the fox still doesn't pick up the items. It has nothing to do with the rules, because when I did your zombification house tutorial the zombie was able to pick up the axe normally. Please help :c

@@GustavoACD It is a known bug for Bedrock Edition after an update. A few other players reported this to Mojang and we just hope that they will fix it.

It works on both Java and bedrock. Did you use repeater instead of comparator?
Doesn't work in 1.20.2, the Fox won't kill the chickens, if you tested it, it wasn't 1.20.2. Switched to 1.20.1 and it works fine, but not in 1.20.2
I tested it in 1.20.2 and it still works. Not sure what's the issue
