Just half to mention Saturday nights race at Port Royal was tribute race for Jim Kline , they announced in pre race ceremonies that the A main was going to pay $22,000 to win and don’t believe no one knew this as they wanted to keep the invaders out so a local could win the money but guess what Brent Marks had planned to race there plus after Husets flooded out Macri drove 9hrs so he could race Port Royal and you guess right Macri won and Marks was second , so much for a Port Royal regular to win it ! Sandy Kline Jim’s wife I believe put up and announced the extra money , what an amazing woman she is and after losing her husband she’s still involved in a lot of things that’s going on at Port Royal
Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, Iowa, Clay County Fair Speedway in Spencer, Iowa, and both Park Jefferson Speedway and Interstate Speedway, both in Jefferson, South Dakota have all been flooded, and are all within an hour and a half from Husets. The whole region has been decimated by the flood waters. Prayers to everyone affected.
When we were racing Attica and Fremont weekly, and it’s been a long time ago, if my memory is correct, they always had it this way, if a red was caused but you were able to keep rolling even if you were involved, you got your spot back. I could be wrong, but for some reason that’s what my memory is telling me…
Been to all 3 nights of Maverick Mayhem and it's been great shows. Leaving for Terre Haute in about an hour for the finale. Bacon told me last night he was heading home and not running Terre Haute. Newton may have a different shoe in his second car. The question is who?
2:04 The second one. Some people refuse to accept that not every race can bring down the house. It's sport first, not entertainment. Sometimes it's a whitewash. The teams aren't there to be entertaining, they're there to beat the shit out of each other, and sometimes that's exactly what happens. I'm personally getting a little sick of this discussion continually popping up in motor racing.
@@mitchell-wallisforce7859 agreed. The idea that it doesn’t last forever, and that at any time someone else won’t takeover and dominate doesn’t give the sport much credit. These guys are good at what they do, even if not a fan of him it’s still damn impressive.

The scoring procedure used to give Sabo the lead back is the same used by the World of Outlaws: A car that DOESN'T STOP is not considered involved in any accident in which other cars DO stop. The "blend" rule is used only when the caution is called for a spinning car that DOESN'T stop--it's actually described as "inadvertent yellow", because a caution technically shouldn't be called until a car stops. The World of Outlaws have had this rule in place for at least as long as I've worked for the series--28+ years.
Except the Fremont rulebook doesn't say any of that. The specific language says "A 360 spin, under green, will draw a caution and the offending car(s) will go to the tail." We can have a philosophical debate about the Outlaw rule, but if Fremont is going to use that, it needs to be more clear in their rules. Because when it isn't, then you create issues like we saw last night when everyone goes to see what exactly the book says and how the rules were applied.
@@DIRTRACKR I think that rule applies to a spin ONLY--just as with the "blend" rule with the world of outlaws. In my mind, a "spin" means a single car with no contact. When there's contact between cars, only the cars that stop are deemed "involved". (But yes, perhaps more clarity is needed.)

it depends if fremont has a 360 spin rule, if not then giving zabo his spot back is fine because he never stopped. I dont like blend rules like the outlaws and others use, it should be cut and dry.
First thing dirt late models need to do is get rid of Delaware double file restarts the sport already lacks passing let alone a restart format that nobody else uses making it even worse late in the race they go to single file are they trying to make it unexciting?
The Delaware double file restarts are the way to go on every restart makes it more exciting and gives other cars a chance especially when track is one lane with no passing
I challenge you to review procedures at speedway before professing knowledge. Like many tracks abd series the rules are clear and simple. You stop, you go tail.
