What I know is that humans don't love unconditionally, so friends will come and go through out life. Loneliness will also come and go. Nothing stays the same. It's best to just focus on the ppl you do have in your life because good friends are not guaranteed
And as you age, you may lose a good friend to death, drug addiction, or severe mental illness. I used to joke around - "HA HA HA! I'll piss on all your graves". 35 years later and it's not so funny. Also - if you're single or divorced, you don't fit in so easily with your married friends. Life ain't easy, but keep on the best you can.
I haven’t had ANY friends for the past two years it’s been hard but now that I’m getting older I’m realizing that I need to figure myself first and work on myself then hopefully the universe will bless me with a good best friend this year.

I’m going through this. I chose me and I lost so many friends. Main reason is because I gave up alcohol and don’t go out to the bars anymore. Sad that they won’t speak to me because I don’t live that lifestyle anymore. But I just say it’s there loss. I’m doing me and it sucks being alone at times but I would rather be alone then be around crappy people.

That the best decision you made. In matter of fact sometimes the friends you make rub off bad behavior to you. If you hang out with someone who positive and makes you happy that's a good friend.
I am going through this too. I love my own vibe & independence more than I expected. I take myself shopping, walks in public places, out for drives, listen to music, gym, singing, creative works, reflecting, accepting all of me (good & bad), out to eat...table for one, going to the beach, etc (same as if I were dating someone). I know that self love is forever so doing this is something I have always wanted even when I had friends or was in a relationship. I let everyone go & its been a good choice that I made for myself. This is me. Sometimes people are truly in your life for just a season and then you move onto the next stage in life. Meet new people that you resonate more with. Omg, I can relate 100% The journey to self-awareness and trying to be intentional about more things is awesome...but it does get lonely. I totally agree with the feelings of doubt and FOMO! I’m so ready to cultivate friendships, but not at the expense of losing or compromising who I am. It seems difficult to find friends on the same wave in my 20s...and again, it’s exciting to be on this journey, but definitely comes with some maturity, patience and knowing who you are.

I've been lonely like all my life and theres so much shame attached to this....i look around and i see people making friends really easily i try to copy them but i feel so fake and feel manipulative doing this...im on a self love journey and heck it takes so long to get it right with myself...i sometimes just accept that I'm just going to be a loner for the rest of my life so why fight it but it just feel so depressing...i can't make the connections in my mind as to why this is...but wait early childhood trauma but i know that this is case for most people and yet they seem to have someone in their lives,

Yes! I totally agree. I’m currently in this season right now, I’ve always done things based on what would please the people around me. Until I had a mental breakdown one day because I realized everything that I was doing was for the satisfaction of other people. That day I made a conscious decision to start doing things for myself. And now I’m living on my own discovering myself, and I’m excited to see the woman that I will become.

I honestly can relate to this. I always prioritize people’s feelings than myself because I care about their happiness & I came to conclusion that the more you do that, the more you’re not gonna be happy within yourself so same here, I’m learning to choose myself more. I have definitely felt like this, I be like why me God? I'm relatively a people person, not a loner at all. Don't like being by myself. Only person i hung out with is my boyfriend, but with his new job, this is definitely pushing me out of my comfort zone to do things by myself, and appreciate my own company. I can really relate to this sounds just how I feel sometimes its hard to realize that this is my reality right now but it wont be like this forever but this time is for us to get to know who we are our likes dislikes our goals hearts desires and not being so fixated on forcing friendships that Will drain us. I have no friends too. People usually think that that's a bad thing, but friends are actually over rated. Throughout my life I have come accross only a handful of people whom I could call friends, and whom I really miss. The rest were just baggage. They were all negatively affecting my life and I am so glad they are gone. It made me realize how much they were holding me back. Losing them made me know myself more, and made me improve myself, just like you stated in the video. I also wanted to say I'm glad I stumbled upon your channel.

This was me too! For a longtime I had no friends, or I would have friends but they would take advantage of my kindness. But I had made true friends and all they wanted is the best for me and they would give me countless advice on how to become more confident and stand up for myself. I wasn’t listening and I kept on complaining over and over and I wasn’t listening to their advice so they decided to end the friendship because they got tired. Because I was use to having bad friendships I never knew what it was like to have a good one and I had baggage which was still affecting me from my previous ones into this one and they didn’t not deserve that. I was directing my negativity towards them because I was angry at another person but I was afraid to speak up. Now I’m on my own again with no friends, I never knew what I had until it’s gone. Ive never been comfortable with my own self and I was always afraid to be by myself but I now appreciate myself on another level. My self love has grown tremendously✨

You become the average of the 5 people you hang around with. Select quality friends over quantity. I want to attract friends who are on the same wavelength as me and we want to see each other win. I am so mindful of the type of people who I let in my circle. I want to increase my circle :). During this time we all face in life I got to see the true colours of certain friends I was always showing up for them they were not for me. I relate 100%. Been going through an entire transitional and awakening phase over the past 3 years and this year went through a process of learning how to be happy with my own company, had to let some toxic friends go which was incredibly hard but the most necessary step for me to take! Wow! Thx u for uploading this video I’m really at a loss at the moment . I have a 17yr old daughter who is having a hard time making friends , she is the sweetest, kindest , friendliest , funniest girl u could ever meet . We live in a mainly white area ( but originally from London ) my daughter has gone through primary /secondary & now college without any true friends. She started college last September with a clean slate ready to make new friendships and she initially had some white friends but she longed to be in a black friendship group, eventually she made friends with a group of black girls and it was cool but it always felt like she was doing all the input , no one really made plans to meet up with her outside of college or even check up on her , she was in group chats and ppl was talking about what they were doing outside of college and she’s not involved cause she don’t live near them and they were not really inviting her to do anything. Ok so in the last month a discussion occurred were one of the girls was speaking to a boy in Italian & the boy was rude about my daughter instead of the friend putting him in his place she laughed and played it off , my daughter asked what was said initially the friend said don’t worry about it , then after my daughter presses her she said what it was , my daughter replied by calling him a swear word and her friend came to the guys defence , ever since then there has been tension, my daughter tried to quash it for the sake of the friendship & the girl was still carrying feelings , my daughter said if she was gonna be a bitch about it then eff the friendship , the girl basically took offence & she threatened to slap my daughter !! Now as a mum I advised my daughter not to reply & just lock them off ! I told her if the girl is really about that life when u see her pull up and see if she has the same energy , if she does then box her down!!! But now it’s the summer she’s got no friends to chill with and I feel so bad for her ! I know part of the problem is that we live where we live and there’s hardly any black ppl about but even the ones that r around they act whiter than white ! I came across your video and I thought well if u was courageous to do this video detailing your experience then u might be able to give some inspiration to her ! I experienced this, listening to everyone else not being true to me cause I was worried what everyone else would think. I use to be scared that I would lose friends if I did what was right for me, so I would hold on to people who deep down weren’t aligned with me! Now if I loose friend so be it I have to do what’s right for me! Hopefully like minded amazing people will come in to my life!
I can definitely say that as a sophomore in high school it is really hard to make friends. It’s crazy how some people genuinely want to see others do good and others want to see those fail. I’ve had my share of toxic friends and I had to isolate myself from many people where I am scared to communicate with others. I had to retreat and spend time to do this alone because I am also a people pleaser and yes woman. Now I feel like I'm ready to open up and find my soul family. I'm very shy. So when I try talking to people it's really hard. I just have really bad social problems. My sister always makes front of me because I have no friends and she does. What really got me one time. Was when she said "you are just jealous and selfcentered that I have friends and you dont". Then argued about how she just 14 and I'm 19 and Still I dont have one friend to count on. Yet she had friends who are litterally 5 and up. I just started crying and told myself " I'm not self centered am I ?" 😰 I really think there something wrong with me. After all those years I developed two friends but they chose to be with another friend. I'm left with zero.

I have no friends because I'm just too nice and I'm always used by people. Before I was done with middle school, I tried to be a nice guy but mostly everyone acted like total assholes. Also, I was usually abused and bullied by students I don't like and nobody would speak up for me. But then later, the people who acted like jerks the first time they would start acting all nice. Then I thought to myself, "If these people were rude to me the first time or don't even like me then why would they even say hi or act like friendly?". Once I stared 8th grade, I stopped being nice to and stopped talking to people because I was just tired of people using me and being total dicks. I'm in high school right now but I didn't try to make friends with all the new people I saw because I was just didn't want to be used by anyone. I know that everybody needs friends but it's just easy for other people and hard for me But maybe I could make some real friends if I try.

These days the reason why young people don’t have any friends is because no one hangs out together in the streets anymore, especially young teenagers. Also, having social media and technology also made everyone isolated. If you wanna pursue any of your dreams and goals, then you can forget about telling or hanging out with your friends. When I was a kid, I had so many friends, but as I got older, everyone of my friends started leaving the old neighborhoods and some we’re getting married or going off to college by creating a new life for themselves. Everything in your life changes as you get older.

It seems difficult to find friends on the same wave in my 20s...and again, it’s exciting to be on this journey, but definitely comes with some maturity, patience and knowing who you are.

Yes! I totally agree. I’m currently in this season right now, I’ve always done things based on what would please the people around me. Until I had a mental breakdown one day because I realized everything that I was doing was for the satisfaction of other people. That day I made a conscious decision to start doing things for myself. And now I’m living on my own discovering myself, and I’m excited to see the woman that I will become.

I honestly can relate to this. I always prioritize people’s feelings than myself because I care about their happiness & I came to conclusion that the more you do that, the more you’re not gonna be happy within yourself so same here, I’m learning to choose myself more. I’d also think I’m crazy for only having like 2 people in my circle but you are who you’re around w/ the most & it took me a while to realize that.

I have definitely felt like this, I be like why me God? I'm relatively a people person, not a loner at all. Don't like being by myself. Only person i hung out with is my boyfriend, but with his new job, this is definitely pushing me out of my comfort zone to do things by myself, and appreciate my own company. I can really relate to this sounds just how I feel sometimes its hard to realize that this is my reality right now but it wont be like this forever but this time is for us to get to know who we are our likes dislikes our goals hearts desires and not being so fixated on forcing friendships that Will drain us. I have no friends too. People usually think that that's a bad thing, but friends are actually over rated. Throughout my life I have come accross only a handful of people whom I could call friends, and whom I really miss. The rest were just baggage. They were all negatively affecting my life and I am so glad they are gone. It made me realize how much they were holding me back. Losing them made me know myself more, and made me improve myself, just like you stated in the video. I also wanted to say I'm glad I stumbled upon your channel.

This was me too! For a longtime I had no friends, or I would have friends but they would take advantage of my kindness. But I had made true friends and all they wanted is the best for me and they would give me countless advice on how to become more confident and stand up for myself. I wasn’t listening and I kept on complaining over and over and I wasn’t listening to their advice so they decided to end the friendship because they got tired. Because I was use to having bad friendships I never knew what it was like to have a good one and I had baggage which was still affecting me from my previous ones into this one and they didn’t not deserve that. I was directing my negativity towards them because I was angry at another person but I was afraid to speak up. Now I’m on my own again with no friends, I never knew what I had until it’s gone.
Ive never been comfortable with my own self and I was always afraid to be by myself but I now appreciate myself on another level. My self love has grown tremendously✨

I relate 100%. Been going through an entire transitional and awakening phase over the past 3 years and this year went through a process of learning how to be happy with my own company, had to let some toxic friends go which was incredibly hard but the most necessary step for me to take! I have a 17yr old daughter who is having a hard time making friends , she is the sweetest, kindest , friendliest , funniest girl u could ever meet . We live in a mainly white area ( but originally from London ) my daughter has gone through primary /secondary & now college without any true friends. She started college last September with a clean slate ready to make new friendships and she initially had some white friends but she longed to be in a black friendship group, eventually she made friends with a group of black girls and it was cool but it always felt like she was doing all the input , no one really made plans to meet up with her outside of college or even check up on her , she was in group chats and ppl was talking about what they were doing outside of college and she’s not involved cause she don’t live near them and they were not really inviting her to do anything.
Ok so in the last month a discussion occurred were one of the girls was speaking to a boy in Italian & the boy was rude about my daughter instead of the friend putting him in his place she laughed and played it off , my daughter asked what was said initially the friend said don’t worry about it , then after my daughter presses her she said what it was , my daughter replied by calling him a swear word and her friend came to the guys defence , ever since then there has been tension, my daughter tried to quash it for the sake of the friendship & the girl was still carrying feelings , my daughter said if she was gonna be a bitch about it then eff the friendship , the girl basically took offence & she threatened to slap my daughter !! Now as a mum I advised my daughter not to reply & just lock them off ! I told her if the girl is really about that life when u see her pull up and see if she has the same energy , if she does then box her down!!!
But now it’s the summer she’s got no friends to chill with and I feel so bad for her ! I know part of the problem is that we live where we live and there’s hardly any black ppl about but even the ones that r around they act whiter than white ! I came across your video and I thought well if u was courageous to do this video detailing your experience then u might be able to give some inspiration to her ! I don’t know if u will ever read this but I’m at a loss right now !! I don’t want her to suffer in silence & get depressed or even worse ! 🤷🏽♀️

I've learned that we really attract what we are- not what we want. so I would encourage your daughter to cut all those toxic people off & start fresh! I experienced this, listening to everyone else not being true to me cause I was worried what everyone else would think. I use to be scared that I would lose friends if I did what was right for me, so I would hold on to people who deep down weren’t aligned with me! Now if I loose friend so be it I have to do what’s right for me! Hopefully like minded amazing people will come in to my life!

I can definitely say that as a sophomore in high school it is really hard to make friends. It’s crazy how some people genuinely want to see others do good and others want to see those fail. I’ve had my share of toxic friends and I had to isolate myself from many people where I am scared to communicate with others. But I’m taking it one step at a time and hopefully I’ll gain myself confidence and fine myself again. Thank you for this!! ❤️

This resonated strongly with me!!! This whole year has been about rediscovering who I am without the world trying to tell me who I am. I had to retreat and spend time to do this alone because I am also a people pleaser and yes woman. Now I feel like I'm ready to open up and find my soul family. It’s otherwise tricky trying to make friends with ppl who already have a set of friends. On Bumble people are actively also looking for new friends which is refreshing!! Takes out the guesswork ! I'm very shy. So when I try talking to people it's really hard. I just have really bad social problems. My sister always makes front of me because I have no friends and she does. What really got me one time. Was when she said "you are just jealous and selfcentered that I have friends and you dont". Then argued about how she just 14 and I'm 19 and Still I dont have one friend to count on. Yet she had friends who are litterally 5 and up. I just started crying and told myself " I'm not self centered am I ?" 😰 I really think there something wrong with me. After all those years I developed two friends but they chose to be with another friend. I'm left with zero.

I have no friends because I'm just too nice and I'm always used by people.
Before I was done with middle school, I tried to be a nice guy but mostly everyone acted like total assholes.
Also, I was usually abused and bullied by students I don't like and nobody would speak up for me.
But then later, the people who acted like jerks the first time they would start acting all nice.
Then I thought to myself, "If these people were rude to me the first time or don't even like me then why would they even say hi or act like friendly?".
Once I stared 8th grade, I stopped being nice to and stopped talking to people because I was just tired of people using me and being total dicks.
I'm in high school right now but I didn't try to make friends with all the new people I saw because I was just didn't want to be used by anyone.
I know that everybody needs friends but it's just easy for other people and hard for me
But maybe I could make some real friends if I try.
Hey! Yeah making friends in school can be hard- kids are mean these days! But I do agree that maybe if you tried, it can happen! I think we attract the people in our lives that we want. so just practice being the friend you want & the right people will start coming into your life! Worth a try :)

These days the reason why young people don’t have any friends is because no one hangs out together in the streets anymore, especially young teenagers. Also, having social media and technology also made everyone isolated. If you wanna pursue any of your dreams and goals, then you can forget about telling or hanging out with your friends. When I was a kid, I had so many friends, but as I got older, everyone of my friends started leaving the old neighborhoods and some we’re getting married or going off to college by creating a new life for themselves. Everything in your life changes as you get older.
