Godzilla spent the 50 years in the ice awake, just getting more and more pissed off, imaging all the ass he was going to stomp if he ever got free. That's why he's such a bad ass in this movie.
He'll always be The Big Guy🐲
Note: When Godzilla goes 3-on-1 with King Caesar, Anguiras and Rodan, Godzilla doesn't kill them. He simply piles them on top of each other. This is because through the movies, these three were his allies. So he left them alive.

Santiago Zuniga You’re correct, that fight was one of the first scenes filmed and they needed the suits later on. This has no continuity with the other films so it has nothing to do with them being Godzilla’s allies in the past.

This film is just a giant love letter to the Showa era. The monster cast, the goofy action and human characters, the Xileans basically making this an elaborate remake of “Monster Zero”.

The way I see it, there are three kinds of Godzilla films:
1. The darker, slower, more thoughtful films
2. The goofy, fun slugfests
3. The ones that manage to mix the two
Final Wars is the second cranked up to 11, and I enjoy it quite a bit for that.
Yeah this could have been 4 hours and still been amazing. :D
For a movie which is supposed to be the end of a series, Final Wars actually makes a good introduction film since it doesn't require a lot of canon knowledge and keeps the slow parts to a minimum. This isn't fine cinema we're talking about, it's tokusatsu. The bigger & badder the better.
For me, the movie is OK. I just wish the kaiju fight scene is longer and other monster besides Kaizer Ghidorah arent a punching bad for Godzilla.
It also feels too much late 1960s and 1970s. The director didn't like the series Heisei era. I just wonder how he feels about the original Godzilla movie (both versions).

First time I saw this movie, I thought it was a unusually high budget Internet fan film. I like this entry because of Godzilla's monster battle win streak montage.

The new and improved Godzilla Final Wars re-upload. Now with 20% more “Flagged By Toho!” I actually sort of enjoyed Final Wars, even if it did show my favorite characters die in horrible ways. Every good series that goes on for some time eventually has a “body bag” episode that kills everyone off, either in a dream sequence or in an actual canon episode or movie. Also, even if final Wars was kind of a mess, it was a fast paced, fun mess. A good popcorn movie.
Loved it giving me another reason to watch it again.

@@ivancarriel7210 Well, I would have loved the film if they'd pared down the number of monsters that Godzilla had previously fought, and then made those battles a little longer than 2 or 3 minutes. But I'm still a fan of the Godzilla movies, no matter how bad some of them were, lol!

When Godzilla got his power up he also receives some more from Omar prime with the matrix of leadership, the seven chaos emeralds, and the six infinity stones. Also Omar prime combines with Godzilla for an extra boost to defeat Keizer ghidorah

Personally, I love this movie! It just doesn’t care about logic or plot, it’s just meant to have fun. I wish more movies were like this.

The totally out-there, 'gonzo-ness' of Final Wars has always made it my fav, and in a lotta ways actually best captures the underlying spirit of Godzilla films. After all, what's more 'gonzo' than the whole concept of a guy in a rubber suit playing a ginormous, city-flattening 'kaiju' to begin with?

Godzilla: Final Wars was one of my favorite Godzilla movie. It was full of action and had some of the craziest human fight scenes I've seen.
Minya is the devil and I hate him with a burning passion as much as I hate the kenny's in the gamera movies.
Well he is popular in Japan, especially with the ladies. Also here is a fun fact. His design was meant to symbolize how he is more friendly to humans he was then his fahter.
This is an awesome movie. Japan does anniversaries right.

While this was a box office bomb, and caused godzilla to hibernate for a long time, shin godzilla came around and was a universal success and became Japan's idol again. How poetic.
I still view Final Wars as the ultimate Godzilla. So many Kaiju brawls, X aliens, and lots of action and destruction
When the copyright on CZcams is so heavy you need to go buy some toy's and ask your friends to do the movie .

I watched this movie legit last week with my roommate, I had a fantastic time, was just as fun as I remember, my roommate was half and half on it. He thought the fights were cool but it borrowed too much from other movies. I think that adds its fun charm in this big mashup movie.
Kinda with you on this one. The movie feels confused and spectacular at the same time. I feel like there was an issue of pacing here, the fights being awesome in their own right, but still lacking the sense of accomplishment you'd get with the classic team ups. Maybe if Godzilla had to fight his friends to knock them out of a brainwashing or something, and they joined together at the end, maybe taking deadly damage, but still helping the fight and motivating Godzilla to win, it could've held up with older entries. As is, solid B flick, would get torched and binge watch right between Leprechaun and little shop of horrors.
Plus, i wish other monsters besides Kaizer Ghidorah arent just a punching bad. That would more entertaining if they give Godzilla some fights.

I love how the monsters are color-coded: Zilla's green, Ebirah's red, Monster X is black & white. Gigan goes from cosplaying as Yongary to Ash from The Evil Dead movies. I'll give it to Japan, when they do batshit crazy, they do it with style *and* make it fun.
I just realised. Godzilla's trapped in ice was the last time we saw him in a recap. later in KKvG part 2 he ends up breaking free.
