Enjoy! Well, well... it's been a long time, but I'm back to this game yet again. This might be like the fourth time or so I've recorded a playthrough of this game in my entire CZcams career. Maybe one of my older playthroughs got all the puzzle pieces? I don't know. Anyways, as the playthrough is titled, I'm going after all the puzzle pieces. You know... the unimpressive collectables that only unlock concept art. Except here, I'm doing it fast (and sometimes reckless). Maybe it'll be fun?
Okay, I did find it a bit tough to find the best justification to make an updated playthrough of this game even though the Mirror/Hard mode one from a decade ago seemed fine to leave as is (and it will stay public as this playthrough covers a different angle to the game). The big reason is for my Donkey Kong marathon in which I recently updated the SNES country games for modern standards. So I felt the same could be applied to both this and Tropical Freeze as well.
Something I should point out about this Returns playthough specifically is how I recorded it: Now that the emulator flood gates have been opened for me earlier this year, I decided to capture this on Dolphin Emulator on my PC to get footage that looks nicer than if I recorded the game off my Wii U which would have looked noticeably crustier with it's smaller natural resolution.
And that's all I have to say. All levels, 100%, all puzzle pieces, do it quick, and make it look nice from both a visual and gameplay perspective. Hope you enjoy this updated playthrough!

Chunky Kong: I swear, if those theiving, big-eyed bandits come back, I'll crush'em all to bits!! 😡
Tiny Kong: I went to visit Donkey and Diddy, but they're not home. 😐
Lanky Kong: What makes you say that, Tiny? 😐
Tiny Kong: No one in the tree house answered me. 🫤
Chunky Kong: That's a shame. 🙁
Tiny Kong: All I found were big footprints that look like Donkey's and little footprints that look like Diddy's. They were next to each other on the pathway, facing the opposite direction of their tree house, and leading to to the distance, so I have no id.....
(Lanky and Chunky Kong both scream)
Tiny Kong: .....What's the matter? 😐
Lanky Kong: Oh... my... God! I think I know exactly what happened! Chunky?! 😲
Chunky Kong: (Gasps in horror) It can't be! 😬
Tiny Kong: What can't be? 😐
Lanky Kong: Let me get this straight. Donkey and Diddy are not in their tree house.... 😬
Chunky Kong: Our bananas got stolen by those tikis..... 😬
Tiny Kong: Donkey and Diddy's footprints facing the opposite direction of their tree house..... 😬
(Rumbling sound)
(All three gasping in terror)
Tiny Kong: (Stammering) So, all these 3 clues must mean..... 😬
Lanky Kong: Donkey and Diddy must've..... 😲
Chunky Kong: Ran away and are trying to retrieve our bananas from..... from..... 😬
(Camera cuts to the sky facing down the jungle)
Tiny, Lanky, and Chunky Kong: (All in unison) THE VOLCANOOOOO!!! 😱😱😱
