Did you call me a muggle at the beggining of this video?
I did! How do you feel about that? ; )
I didn’t like that :( *My father will hear about this!*
haha :))
@@EatSleepDreamEnglish that was rather humiliating...untolerable😂😂😂
Ikr I got offended
I’m 10 , doesn’t mean I’m not a witch, I just need another year to get my letter
He actually looks like Mister Potter.
What an excellent video, perfect teacher.
He really does :D
Haha yess im not the only one who think that
I think he looks and sounds like Ray Davies...
Tom really looks like harry when he is old
Another video for second movie! :) I also like the accent of Draco Malfoy and his father, Lucius.
Me too, and their characters in general.
Me too!!
Yes, please!:)
I want too
Oh yes, please 😀
I'll be waiting for Severus Snape's and Albus Dumbledore's accent. :)
@@aesthetuna1014 i read that with Snape's voice in my head😂😂😂😂
@@raven.pearce same
Exxpelliarrrrmusss!
Snape is RP also, isn't he?
Dumbledore is Irish
OBVIOUSLY, we need six more of these, if you follow the novels, or seven more of these, if you follow the films. Great stuff Tom. 😊👍👍👍😎
Great idea Grady, looks like I've got a lot of work ahead of me
@@EatSleepDreamEnglish please don't forget that comment. All movies please!!
Loved it! But it was too short 🤣🤣 please do a second, and a third ,and a forth... 😁😁😁
He should do a video about every single character. Imagine that! How great!
@@marygarcia7035 oh yes, we'd love that!
I've said it before, but I'll say it again: Brilliant Harry Potter you make Tom!!
Hehehe how about you do a video dressed as Hermione? I think it could work ; )
Lol I do actually LOVE Hermione!! But I’d have to study your Harry Potter accent vids and not just watch them for fun!! That’s opening up quite a can of worms 😂
I would be most grateful if you could make a second video of "Learn with Harry Potter". I would also love to see more transformations from you.:) It was a wonderfully informative and marvellously entertaining video! Thank you so much!
I can't even tell you how MUCH I learnt from watching the Harry Potter films. I once bingewatched them all (not in a day, of course not) but pausing at every word, phrase or idiom that I wasn't 100% sure of what they meant or how to use them myself, and then write it down.
To this day when I teach something I learnt from doing that, I remember the exact film (sometimes even the scene) in which I learnt that piece of vocabulary.
Please make another video of Harry Potter series
To me it sounds as if Harry's accent changes in the later movies. It sounds breathier, less well pronounciated. Or is it just Daniel Radcliffe's way of speaking that comes through more in time which makes it sound so different?
Could also be from, well... getting older generally. In the first two films he's little, and I'd say very young kids tend to speak more polite and well pronounced, and that fades gradually over our teens. Like adult Harry probably would've used a much shorter sentence with the guy at the train station than 11 year old Harry. But I really do suppose that that's really the dialogue writing and now I realize that's not what you meant at all lol.
As for Harry/Dan's pronounciation, it's probably still comes from the same reason. He is getting older, he gets more well versed in using slang, which whether he is using terms from it or not, are affecting the way he speaks. In a way making his pronounciation more "lazy" than as a kid. Which is just natural I suppose. He can/could revert back to it even subconsciously when speaking to a person of authority, but that's his normal speech now. Think everyday english vs formal english. Even in british and american english, your normal day to day talk is not quite like formal speech. Formal speech is more like young Harry's request at the train station. Longer sentences and more clearly pronounced, to ensure the person you're speaking to understands you, as well as to sound more polite and respectful. Meanwhile day to day speech is well. We know how that is lol.
Least this is my take on it.
Yes!Please continue this series❤❤
Please talk about the Scottish accent! (have you seen the Bodyguard?) how to sound Scottish? and HP review is great, too.
I loved this video, mainly the way you spoke about the differences between accents. Thank you so much! I was looking forward to one of those.
Even though I am from the northern U.S. and speak fluent English, I still watch all your videos for the lovely accents. More HP!
I’m from England ( I sound like Ron) idk why I’m watching it
I really loved this. I'm Latin and I know a lot of English but for me it's important to improve my English pronunciation and vocabulary. Thanks a lot

I found your channel today, after a hard week of too much work. I also work as a teacher and I believe the best classes are the ones that look like a friendly conversation. I’ve just realized I’ve been watching your videos and I learned so many things in a short period of time because it seemed like a cool mate sharing his knowledge with me. So, thank you! I’ll definitely keep watching your videos. You’re brilliant! I love it.

I'm nearly 19 and still no Hogwarts letter. I quit. Screw my 19th birthday, and the rest of my birthdays. I hate being a Muggle!

Woww i really love this videoo. Hagrid’s accent is the most difficult to catch 😂 i couldn’t understand him if i didn’t put the subtitles on lol. This video is the perfect combination of learning both vocabs and accents altogether at the same time with the movie i love. Thank you for making such a wonderful video. Wishing to see the upcoming videos about the whole harry potter series😘
Hell
Yeah.
We need the second part.
When I started to learn English by myself, I watched these movies so much to listening to proper English. Except for the "magical words" it's so easy to catch everything they say. Absolutely one of the best sources out there!
