Just how much did Homeworld even know about Rose Quartzes as to where they could mistake one with the powers of a Diamond for a normal one? I can probably already answer this as I'm pretty sure rose quartz did have healing powers.. hence pearl never knew about lion to begin with. It's also speculated earlier in the series when Amethyst fell off the cliff where pearl says a lot of things that lead me to believe that. As for each gem, they seem to be strictly based on certain models which are all pretty similar. Take the amethysts for example or the sapphires. I mean yeah, they are kinda different but they are still set as one specific being.

Can't throw that out since we don't have confirmation but I doubt it. We've seen what happens to planets that get colonized by homeworld.They break apart after too many resources have been used up(we saw that illustrated and animated on the moonbase). Along with that we have learned that homeworld first started to create new gems on homeworld itself(seen by the kindergarten the off colours were hiding in) I am rather sure that is why homeworld looks so broken from the outside and why they expanded to other worlds in the first place.

my theory on the diamonds is based on the info so far is almost how they fit the spectrum of the universe. White is reality, unflinched by mortal coils, strong and decisive but only able to see what is already there. Yellow is logic, the foundation of planning and control. Blue is emotion, grief and sadness are opposite to joy and happiness and with her ability to share her emotional state yah..... pink... pink is dreams, the unknown of the future the infinite possibilities and the curiosity to explore them. just my 2 cents
I always wondered why Pink Diamond was so attracted to organic life and it could be because she comes from a comet. That would explain her empathy towards organisms and especially humans, since she's made of rock and water, which are probably humans' most important ressources. She could come from a star too, maybe a giant red one ? That's what I was thinking too. It would make sense too given the giant hole in the planet where Russia would be. We've long held the theory that perhaps a diamond was born from that hole. Well... maybe we aren't too far off. And if it were true, Pink Diamond being sent back to the planet she was born on to try to colonize it would make sense. She was seen as young and prone to temper tantrums, so the other diamonds might have sent to her room to clean it up and prove she could be a big girl too.

I've been thinking for a while that the process of making a diamond HAS to be different from a normal gem. I was thinking 1planet = 1diamond, but I'm digging the star theory.
I can see it being possible that if pink was born from a comet, blue and yellow were born from actual stars, and White was born from a Sun. Think about it. Stars are commonly depicted as yellow or sometimes a pale blue. As for the sun, it isn’t yellow but in actuality is pure white. Along with that, it can make sense with the diamond insignia. In perspective of the earth, comets, stars, and the sun line up in terms of how they are shown in the insignia. Comets can get close to earth and even fall to earth. Pink, of course, is at the bottom of the insignia, and does “fall to earth” as it were, and when that happened pink was dropped from the insignia. Stars lie between the comets and the sun, at least how we would see them in the sky. Then finally the Sun is the farthest from the earth, putting itself at the highest part of the insignia. And just as white is, the sun, despite being the farthest away from society, appears far larger and hold a more significant presence in comparison to the celestial bodies around it.

my theory on the diamonds is based on the info so far is almost how they fit the spectrum of the universe. White is reality, unflinched by mortal coils, strong and decisive but only able to see what is already there. Yellow is logic, the foundation of planning and control. Blue is emotion, grief and sadness are opposite to joy and happiness and with her ability to share her emotional state yah..... pink... pink is dreams, the unknown of the future the infinite possibilities and the curiosity to explore them.

I always wondered why Pink Diamond was so attracted to organic life and it could be because she comes from a comet. That would explain her empathy towards organisms and especially humans, since she's made of rock and water, which are probably humans' most important ressources.
She could come from a star too, maybe a giant red one ? The biggest yet weakest types of stars in the universe: they keep growing in height because they don't have enough hydrogen left in their resources.

That's what I was thinking too. It would make sense too given the giant hole in the planet where Russia would be. We've long held the theory that perhaps a diamond was born from that hole. Well... maybe we aren't too far off. And if it were true, Pink Diamond being sent back to the planet she was born on to try to colonize it would make sense. She was seen as young and prone to temper tantrums, so the other diamonds might have sent to her room to clean it up and prove she could be a big girl too.

After all, the gem "powered" a being on it's own no problem, and without steven it may try to do the same, possibly creating a heavily corrupted version of Pink, as steven could have damaged the "coding" of the gem.

I can see it being possible that if pink was born from a comet, blue and yellow were born from actual stars, and White was born from a Sun. Think about it. Stars are commonly depicted as yellow or sometimes a pale blue. As for the sun, it isn’t yellow but in actuality is pure white. Along with that, it can make sense with the diamond insignia. In perspective of the earth, comets, stars, and the sun line up in terms of how they are shown in the insignia. Comets can get close to earth and even fall to earth. Pink, of course, is at the bottom of the insignia, and does “fall to earth” as it were, and when that happened pink was dropped from the insignia. Stars lie between the comets and the sun, at least how we would see them in the sky. Then finally the Sun is the farthest from the earth, putting itself at the highest part of the insignia. And just as white is, the sun, despite being the farthest away from society, appears far larger and hold a more significant presence in comparison to the celestial bodies around it.
I think it could be possible that pink and red are twin diamonds? Or at least made at the same time...? I love the whole star idea! I think it’s really really strong! I can’t wait for diamond days!!! And the film next year!! Steven universe takes us on a journey up and down and then lack of anything and then we all say how mad we are and then they give us 5 seconds of something new and we all go back to being crazy obsessed haha love it so much!!

I think the diamonds ships are foreshadowing the fuse of all of the diamonds. Pink diamonds being the legs, blue and yellow being arms and white (since she's the biggest diamond) being the torso and head all of those parts to create a unique creation. Am I the only one who thinks this?
