Good job, but next time use brake hydraulic it's better then oil. It will help pressurize the shock, so it rises up faster and all the way up on its own, without you helping it up. That's why your brakes are harder to step on due to hydraulic oil. Also don't cut the seal it helps pressurize it further.

@Sohail Ahmad Of course you had to replace it. It's illegal to refill shocks, as they are not DOT approved for such a procedure. Anyway, shocks are inexpensive parts, which are supposed to be replaced as a part of maintenance.

If they are full of oil, you did it wrong and it will blow the seal. If it's not fill of oil and not charged with pressurized gas, the oil will foam and they will not perform well. Either way, these shocks are done.

Beacause in pakistan auto parts are very expensive you have to pay 7 to 8k for lowest quality shocks that last for few months only and are useless and don't do much, and most cars in pakistan are japenese brands and their stock shocks are of very superior quality so our local mechanics recondition them for just 1k or less and they serve practically another lifetime, and are way way better than cheap chinese ones so you can say they made high performance shocks out of dead ones or even damaged ones.

I wish I knew I could simply have had the shocks refilled, much cheaper 🤣 Just a shame nobody in the video were thinking about where the lost fluid had gone, and how the fluid had escaped. Mayhap the new fluid will vanish too ??
Sir, in video he mentioned the reasons that how fuild can be lost,but still people go for repair as it works for 3-6 months. In the mean time they will change car or go for repair again.

Never ever do this. Not of any use. They can't fill the inert gas which is also required to make the system complete

why cut the seals?
For esy movement of oil
Cause he is using gear oil and it is lot thicker than normal shock oil so he cut the seal to make additional holes for flow of oil.
